Ecuador, Venezuela, Iran

1-17-07 We commend Investors Business Daily for their great piece on Ecuador: "Quit coddling Quito",  the IBD editorial says. That is exactly what numerous out of state actors and "ngo s" have been doing: coddling the left and supporting the Constituent Assembly. Here are the results: ..."it's now clear that he intends to turn Ecuador into the same kind of state that Hugo Chavez and Bolivia's Evo Morales are running. He is moving fast to destroy Ecuador's democracy by getting rid of Congress and rewriting the constitution to consolidate his own power through a questionable national referendum...." Read the whole IBD editorial here.

We also commend today's Wall Street Journal piece on the growing Iranian-Venezuelan axis and its political allies.

We hope this sparks additional attention to the Andean region.
