Chavez & Correa's Non-Democracy Plans Get Underway in Ecuador on April 15, 2007

April 15, 2007    The Carter Center seems to be telling us in the VOA release that Correa's communist power grabbing plan is a ....good idea. And goes on to tell us that the Andean region is doing GREAT...in so many words...    McCoy of the University of Florida appears to think that Correa's plans are good. For his part, Ecuadorean president Rafael Correa- who controls the voting apparatus already (and the police and the military and refuses security to those against him) says the Opposition today has planned fraud. Correa has no basis for this lie.

The Carter Center- which never met a dictator they did not either fawn over or make lots of money from [or both] has no clue about what makes for a functioning democracy and frankly, their notions that Ecuadoreans demand an alternative democracy, which means a dysfunctional democracy, is already underway. Rafael Correa already has rigged their courts and their congress and the federal budgets. Correa already controls the military and their police. Correa already rules, like Chavez, by communist -dictatorial 'presidential' decree.

With Correa's new alternative to democracy constitution, he will enshrine his legitimacy to rule as a dictator in a Cuban style communist paradise, in perpetuity. What we do not understand is why
Voice of America highlights the gleefulness of the Carter Center to commend this alternative democracy disaster where decriminalization of any sane law and order is already in place. For their part, the VOA appears as if it is trying to soften the excellent reporting on Monday, 4-9-07 from the Wall Street Journal on Correa's abuse of power and determined installation of a faux/fake democracy , also called a dictatorship under neo communism.

It is time for any freedom loving person to review the mischief paid not only by so called NGOs like the welter of Soros groups to assist their management's capacity to grow profits off other's bad fortunes and bad government but also exactly what international "NGOs" are doing in Ecuador. This list must include every anti-Uribe or do-drugs group, each and every Soros-backed friend of neo communism ( sometimes called alternative or sovereign democracy), every group or persons on their governmental payroll  that works with other well known criminal rogues such as Aristide from Haiti, the Sandinista rebels and the FARC.

In fact, a full list of the Ecuadorean financial scams to abuse dollarization and launder Middle Eastern and mob-related monies into legitimate U.S. greenbacks is dearly needed.

With great hypocrisy, the new Ecuadorean  Alternative Democracy of lawlessness and mobocracy will be voted into approval on Sunday, April 15, 2007. In fact, it is already in play. While Ecuadoreans, like lemmings jumping off a cliff, line up to pretend that their vote will actually help devise a new assembly -democratically selected in the months ahead- there is not one shred of evidence that their lazy, fake hopes will be garnered. Sunday marks the beginning of one of the largest scams in the history of the Americas: a national vote to end a functional sovereignty and signal the total demise of what was once a functional ally for progress. There will be no allies in Ecuador for freedom lovers and nothing but death or violence for any who raise their eyes upon Rafael Correa's regime.

Irrefutably, the lengthy list of Rafael Correa's criminal breaks with Ecuador's constitution and all international normative behaviors grows each week.

Hidden behind silly comments from the Carter Center and the University of Miami's academicians lies one of the nastiest scams in decades: the abuse of power to turn a hapless, badly educated and lazy nation onto a Cuban-style socialist paradise while...as Correa gleefully notes...we are not Venezuelans.

Venezuelans at least had the good sense to wake up and protest in 2002 before Chavez commandeered his police and military. Ecuadoreans are too busy manipulating their own futures and bargaining away the soul of their nation, wrongly believing that communism  under Correa is their only option and thus each much make as dirty a deal as possible before someone else does. The moral vacuity of most Ecuadoreans is stunning, exhibiting all the embarrassing commitment of brain dead lemmings following their brethren off a cliff. The voting lines- mandated by federal law and not freely made on Sunday- will replicate the small furry animals who jump to their death.

Yesterday, the
Associated Press and El Comercio report that Correa repeats his consistent message telling us all that he will sue all involved for Plan Colombia, claiming that he -Correa- will bring "peace" to the region. For suing the Colombians and no doubt the U.S. for its principled position to stand against narcoterrorism and for converting Colombia in to a much safer, more productive nation today [instead of a nation ruined by narcotraffickers], Correa helps the FARC and fights against common sense.

For Correa's anti-drug enforcement position, the U.S. Congress will exhibit the most illegal abuse of the democrat leadership by aiding and abetting Rafael Correa to cause harm not only to Ecuadoreans but also Colombians and North Americans. Correa has enough support right now to garner ATPDA extension unless the Democrats wake up and realize that their 2008 presidential candidates will be seen as supporting the creation of a new narco-state: Ecuador, which is of course what is transpiring. But Correa calls this 'making peace' with the FARC. By this of course he means peace with criminals because he has decriminalized all narcoterrorism in Ecuador...soon to replace its lost 25% citizenry (who have fled because the economic crisis deepens under Correa-already loosing almost 20% GDP in the first quarter of this year as reported by some) with international slime from many zones, already crawling like cockroaches across Ecuador.

Contrast the unrealistic VOA highlights from the Carter Center with the facts: a tear  gas bomb went off inside the Ecuadorean Congress building....not because Correa does not already control the entire kangaroo Congress (and the courts- illegally) but because Correa wanted silence the run up to the election tomorrow. There are congresspersons who verified- as did staff- that this shut down of their congress again is entirely the work of the Correa regime, which also controls the entire military, police and all security now. They are all subcreatures of Correa-Chavez now. And the entire Correa Plan Ecuador appear to be an out of control mobocracy  lawless /mobsters hiding behind the name...democracy. Correa wants to remind....he controls it all. You can read it
here at Western Hemisphere Policy Watch, and here at Once Upon a Time in the West.

Contrast these facts with the unbelievable pablum from University of Miami and the Carter Center on the benefits of Correa's democracy.

We can only guess that the US AIDats have proffered some chit with Correa that their teams will support Correa's alternative democracy take over upon their serving at table across this summer to guide and defend Ecuador against transparent, functioning democracy which VOA happily parrots in their unbelievably truncated reporting.
Once Upon a Time in the West has the right of it: Correa's new government will make Ecuador into a detailed, verifiable communist nation which cannot be sanctioned or blessed or aided by the USA, no matter what the US AID-crats and the neo communists believe.

Correa claims the new draft constitution (already drafted) will be put to a vote- just as the referendum to commence. Of this we are sure. And because he will do what he has just done- again- there will be more Correa backed violence, a death of free speech, free media and free thinking. It is called state-backed violence to install communism. We can only hope that the Carter Center will not even think about supporting this new Castro-style gulag underway in Ecuador or trying to cut a deals with the globe's newest dictator to advise. There are plenty of U.S. Democrats who chime in to help carve up the new regions- called gerrymandering- and to carve up the oil money....for the communists. Perhaps they are the same Democrats who sold the District of Colombia the oh so wonderful Smartmatic voting machines because the election commission in Washington will buy anything from their sole party bosses...all democrats. Those machines- inexplicably purchased by sole uncompetitive bid/opaque- are said to sit hidden inside a warehouse for the crime of their purchase and the rejection of their inoperability, recently seen in Chicago's primary votes over a year ago when State Department permitted scores of illegal Venezuelans to fly secretly in to Chicago to actually run Chicago's primary vote, using Chavez's pet voting machines, untested, and with no legal status to actually run U.S. Elections. Not one Democrat even blushed.

U..S. Justice Department permitted Smartmatic to cut a deal instead of go to jail. We believe that the same semblance of murky democracy manipulators are alive and well in Ecuador: all the hallmarks are in place.

Indeed, the liberal left shows little support for its own. For many years, Oswaldo Hurtado was the darling of the Peter Romero-liberal democrat set at the InterAmerican Dialogue. This last week, Rafael Correa literally said he would see Hurtado dead and buried and called the former president numerous names because Oswaldo stood up against the ridiculous referenda of Correa's which still contains nothing on the record. We applaud Oswaldo for merely asking 'where's the beef'? Where is the substance and what in heck are Ecuadoreans voting for?

What Ecuadoreans are voting for on April 15, 2007 is a menu about which they have no clue/no idea and in this Menu to Serve Mankind swirl rumors of deals, give-aways and state handouts to political cronies. That is the sum total of the greed is good Correa plan to insure massive bribes and buy-ins for what has become Ecuadorean's famous past time: manipulations now come round to full blown state kleptocracy. Insteadof defending its former employee, the Inter American Dialogue prefers to also sell out and entertain Ecuador's Minister of Foreign Relations who is also a queen of pornography. Claiming expedience as their motive, the Dialogue shows just how fast it will sell out not only the hapless Oswaldo but indeed the hallmarks of primary democracy as the liberal left rush to tell us that democracy must be converted to alternative- aka criminal status- democracy to encourage new narcostates. U.S. ambassador Jewell and her friends, Senator Dodd and the Soros crowd, will have much to celebrate Sunday night with Rafael Correa, Hugo Chavez and Correa's global masters of manipulation [also called criminals] as the sun sinks on integrity and decency in Ecuador.
