May 28, 2007  The dominoes of democratic principles are predictably falling down across the Andean region and the darkness grows. This occurs because good men and women do nothing. The warning signs have been ever present with no break for the past two years and today can no longer be ignored.

The world wide expression of solidarity against the criminal acts of Hugo Chavez are waking up the world to the destruction of mankind's most cherished freedoms.

Freedom's lights are being shut down in Venezuela and it is time to take away the keys to power that Chavez holds to deny mankind one of the principles of human dignity: free speech. Chavez has been on a binge ride for too long and it is past time to shut down his engine that debases human sensibilities.

 

While this is neither the time nor the place to decry the debased and opportunistic self-enrtichment schemes of the business communities, sometimes called political alliances, who made some questionnable profits from the Iranian- Hugo Chavez neo-criminal bloc, we are aware that today in all matters the fear that the dominoes are failling could not be more apparent. On this day, Quito's El Comercio distinguished itself in solidarity with the majority of Venezuela's citizens [and apparently most Ecuadoreans and most of the globe] to detail the destruction of freedom of expression and ran the video clip from RC TV which so poignantly sings the national anthem/hymno nacional in one of the most beautiful renditions of the Venezuelan anthem we have ever heard....play it here, and then watch the cry for help: SOS signals here.

 

To  further enable total control of Latin American media, with no enforceable laws to restrict theft, crimes and denial of mankind's basic laws, Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and Evo Morales propose an alternative legal system to review their own crimes against humanity. El Mundo  see here on May 25, 2007 carried the dire news of the two track justice system envisioned by Hugo Chavez to exempt his neo totalitarian bloc from common law. The editors of ECrisis make this summary judgement today: the voices of liberty- small and weakened as they have been across the Southern hemisphere for a variety of reasons, will not go quietly now. The principled leadership of RC TV, in the face of grave peril, has shown the globe that Hugo Chavez's denouncements of their efforts, by calling the group a variety of false names and claiming numerous crimes by RC TV which do not exist, are now openly seen for what they are: a well planned criminal effort to manipulate mankind's sensibilities and justify criminal endeavors to manipulate media markets.

This is neither helping the poor nor is this political activism but is, in and of itself, a criminal enterprise that runs the lands previously known as Venezuela and seeks to spread across Latin America. It appears that RC TV has been sacrificed on the altar of Hugo Chavez's personal media conglomerate and self enrichment schemes. It also appears that the leadership of RC TV has the entire globe fully supporting its priincipled positions. Everyone that is, except Iran's mullahs, Russia's Vladimir Putin and his satellites, Africa's Mugabe, Fidel Castro, the North Korean regime, Rafael Correa, Evo Morales and el presidente Insulza of the OAS. Mankind is known by the company it keeps. With whom do you stand?
