Hugo Chavez is Perfectly Willing to Kill Many to Stay in Power, Following Castro's Complete Control
May 30, 2007 The Editors of ECrisis commend Fox News for remaining on the ground, reporting from Venezuela this week.
Ambassador Otto Reich last evening suggested that the USA must today urge all Latin nations to condemn Hugo Chavez's actions. He also correctly noted that the USA was not involved in the 2002 coup in Venezuela. But he noted that Chavez might order his troops to act under his orders again and shoot to kill. This would be an overt act of aggression against his own victimized citizens even as Chavez ordered and planted snipers to terrorize the protesters in 2002, thus prompting his town temporary ouster in that year.
Today, Hugo Chavez wants a total end to freedoms in Venezuela. It is notable that the only "president" that foolishly and shamefully stands in solidarity with Chavez's naked theft of RC TV remains....Ecuador's own Rafael Correa. To this, we are sure that the Cuban communist dynasty, sometimes called the Castro regime, also adds their KGB-style huzzahs to this naked theft, if anyone cared to note the typical/standard Castro applause for criminal acts.

Watch the Fox interview with Reich here. Reich speaks plain truths and reminds us that Chavez is never against killing his own citizens if it serves his own purposes to retain full power. Chavez himself has exhibited this capability on numerous occasions, most notably in 2002. We can only hope that Hugo Chavez not only returns the seized assets of RC TV to its owners but that he calls off his violent government backed goon squads. To declare martial law in Venezuela, as some predict Chavez will do, will only congeal world opinion against Chavez's dictatorial abuses and will prompt more reviews about Chavez's activities such as unconfirmed reports that he is busily hastening a Caracas to Havana fiber optic cable and a global satellite installation. The re opening of free speech in Venezuela is more important than ever.
