August 18, 2007  With so many paid propagandists and so called NGO groups on the take, that is on Hugo Chavez's payroll, not only across Latin America's self-imposed gulags of perfect idiots but inside Washington, D.C., sometimes called members of the Democratic Party and other times called consultants or lobbyists, it is not every day that we read in a major media outlet kernels of the facts. The Washington Post on August 17, 2007 commendably analyzes the run away graft and mafia- style bribery attendant to all that Hugo Chavez and his politburo touch. Read it here.
 
The piece correctly states that the bags of cash- almost one million dollars- flown in to Argentina is indeed a perfect metaphor for " the way Mr. Chávez has been using petrodollars to build an anti-American network that includes the leaders of Cuba, Bolivia and perhaps Nicaragua. Our complaint with the POST piece, which we are confident will be attacked very soon by Chavez's mouth organs in Washington and elsewhere, is that it is slightly out of date already.
 
Indeed, Nicaragua is already aligned with Hugo Chavez under Daniel Ortega. Of course Ecuador is completely aligned with Hugo Chavez. Just start counting the Chavez minders populating Carondelet Palace and how many paid goons are in and out of Quito. Just read the administration's ghastly Plan Ecuador, a fools' errand to undermine Alvaro Uribe's plan for Colombia which is a normative law and order effort to stem narcoterrorism. In fact, this is no metaphor at all....using huge sums of cash bribes is exactly what Hugo Chavez calls business as usual and is no metaphor.
 
We also disagree with the POST's analysis that the so called opposition in Venezuela unwisely boycotted the last election in Caracas. It is not exactly factual to call this a boycott inasmuch as Chavez has installed prerigged electronic voting machinations, full scale employment bribery, threats of unemployment and bodily harm for not voting for his positions as well as denial of human rights. What, we ask, can be derived from playing a fake game of electioneering when nothing- nothing at all- is free or fair in Venezuela, if anyone reports the facts, which today cannot be reported at all.
 
Venezuela is creating a blockade around the Andes and soon will expand toward the Panama Canal, Cuba and the Southern Cone. This not only enables more manipulations by Chavez's criminal cartels but also aids and abets his corporatist alliances for monopolistic profiteering. Targeted to date and subsumed by Chavez are private media companies, private agro-business, private banks and private mining companies, among many many others.
 
In to this charmed circle strides the ever adolescent and badly educated Rafael Correa, himself a master at manipulating the world around him even as he is even now manipulated by the minders and KGB-style actors imbuing the Chavez regime. Ecuador has already agreed with Hugo Chavez that Chavez's monopoly, TELESUR and its investment partner, the Iranian News Service, is a must-do media installation for Ecuador. The POST reports that Chavez has plastered Venezuela with huge pictures....of himself. Again, what the POST needs to report is that all too often in Venezuela are posters of Hugo Chavez and Iran's Ahmadinejad, together in photos as they are in life, schilling for criminal mafia-like cartels backed by Russian actors. In other words, Venezuela and Iran are in bed with the Russian mob and Rafael Correa has also jumped in to bed with this unholy manage, as entranced by the cadaverous Fidel Castro.
 
 It is an appalling lack of fact based reporting that the WASHINGTON POST has failed to include Ecuador in the Chavez satellite of unhappy mafia-style, arranged marriages for financial advantage [as all arranged marriages are]...bags of illegal cash for financial advantage that is. Even more appalling is the lack of local media attention to the remarkably generous and first rate medical gifts from the United States to the people of Ecuador, free of charge underway on the medical ship Comfort. Hundreds of first rate medical professionals are tackling some of the most difficult medical cases ever known to medical doctors in Manta. It is doubtful that Correa even once signifies this sublime act of human decency even though he has repeatedly claimed Castro's version of charitable works as his own.
 
While no  sane person would ever freely waltz in to one of Rafael Correa's propaganda-enhancing medical clinics warehousing Fidel Castro's 4th rate, badly educated medical teams- sometimes called doctors but always called incompetent in general due to their lack of modern medical training- we are shocked at the lack of gratitude from the government of Ecuador for the profound generosity of the USA to help repair the most wretchedly disabled Ecuadoreans who have never and will never be helped by the Correa-Castro band aid squads. While Ecuador has and holds free socialized medical care  guaranteed for all Ecuadoreans, that is if PetroEcuador would stop taking much needed budget dollars for its own, what we do not understand is why this story is also not reported, as if the facts about Ecuador must be excluded in the global media. It is long past time to report on the buying of a nation by criminal cartels. Indeed: it is the story of the decade. Just because far too many foolishly and criminally seek to lie a lot about the termination of sustainable governance and living conditions in general in Bolivia, Ecuador and Venezuela, it does not make it honest to fail to report accurately on the suicide taking place inside Ecuador while Rafael Correa and his bag men for Hugo Chavez rent yet another cheesy hotel room north of Quito to celebrate their good fortunes at the expense of the whole.
