The USA and Multilateral Banks Bail Out Correa to Insure Chavez's Criminal Take-Over for Ecuador is Completed
September 8, 2007 In what is surely one of the most perverse applications of U.S. tax dollars in recent history, the leading multilateral banks are bailing out Ecuador with no performance analysis, no indication that Ecuador deserves anything, and no honest effort to even pretend that accountability is anywhere at all. Indeed, in the most immoral fashion, the USA has teamed with the illicit Correa communist party goers to sustain one of the worst communist-style governments of utter debauchery and illegal intentions in recent memory. It seems that Ecuador's utterly incompetent president Correa cannot find- nor has he ever tried- to determine where his own team has misplaced, sometimes called lost or taken- about 1/5 of Ecuador's GDP. This leaves a shortfall of almost $3 billion which is hastily being infused in a series of "loans," sometimes called direct gifts, to grant cash infusions to keep a very badly educated, unanimously corrupt government moving forward.
We have heard the excuses: Ecuador is poor. Ecuador is a friend to the Western Hemisphere and Ecuador is an ally in the war against narcoterrorism.
The biggest whopper is that Ecuador is engaging in democratic reform and has a legitimate democracy under the incompetent but overly controlling and obsessively manic Correa. In fact, nothing could be further from the truth: Correa is no friend to legitimate governance.
What Ecuador does have is...the big lie. The proudly unstable Rafael Correa is morally and mentally incompetent while utterly incapable of providing functional government for the good of Ecuadoreans, however much his lies claim that his acts alone rectify Ecuador. What the U.S. tax payer should be questioning is the moral hazard of wasting U.S. monies- like throwing greenbacks down a rat hole of no accountability and no justifiable semblance of legitimacy in a draconian effort to insure that the big lie continue. The big lie being that Correa's intermarriage with Castro and Chavez and Ahmadinejad is not so bad at all. And the big lie remains that Correa has completed his self coup and now controls all arms of Ecuadorean government and is so debased and depraved as to preen before the media while systematically shutting off every freedom left.
In July, 2007, Correa's private lobbyist, sometimes called the U.S. lady ambassador to Ecuador, informed U.S. business groups that Correa is not so bad at all and warrants the full support of the USA. This followed hard on the heels of Ecuador's public lobbying led by Paul Reichler who himself enjoys a wide berth of mobility ranging from his support of Muslim terrorists, also called enemy combatants currently housed at Guantanamo Bay, to his deep friendship with the completely debauched Daniel Ortega and Haiti's father to far too many illegitimacies, Aristide. Ambassador Jewell no doubt encouraged one of the worst applications of so called Research by the Soros-backed money makers called the Crisis Group, itself an employment home for out of work Clintonites waiting for that special moment when they can return to their positions of glory.
We can only ask again why this mouth organ of the Soros anti Plan Colombia, the educational propaganda plan that Noam Chomsky is a great leader of the social movement elements, and the Joseph Stigletz as uber-economist persuasion that he knows all we need to know about fiscal responsibility under the aegis of U.S. Senator Chris Dodd? Why is this misaligned endeavor of fake assistance to a fake law enforcement ploy not enjoying a thorough fact check for its blatant mismanagement of U.S. funds, by her hands, to propel a massive string of anti-U.S. lies and propaganda which speeds Ecuador on its soon to be completed path to totalitarian suicide? Or more important, where is the one way ticket back to Hillary's Little Rock? The entire mess is one that is so badly mismanaged and so incompetently delivered that one can only conclude that the entire scheme has been hatched inside a steamy bath house or cheap hotel so preferred by the Correa intimates. Or worse: that the United States of America has decided that it is a functional application of U.S. monies and prestige to jump in to bed with Chavez, Castro, Correa and the untoward Ahmadinejad. To be sure, this is the only conclusion any analyst of Ecuador today can reach. A quick glance of precisely where the USA spends its time and resources in Ecuador between 2004-2008 shows a yawning chasm of legitimate expenditures outside the so called military, intelligence and counterdrugs efforts which while legitimate on paper, are badly in need of adult supervision while deliverables and actual job performance functions have no demonstrable oversight or valid, effective returns. This is perhaps no longer due to the excuse that Bush is concerned about Iraq and therefore no one cares. Indeed, human nature seeks to avoid performance deliverables as long as management and oversight continues to encourage the big lie that theirs is justifiable expenditure to enable the Castro-Chavez monetary and military build up and take over of Ecuador. Do any seriously deny that Chavez will soon park his new fleet of Russian submarines at Manta? We remind that Chavez is installing a full military blockade around South America for his personal reversal of the Monroe Doctrine.
We are long past being vexed that paid diplomats from the USA have teamed up with some of the globe's worst liars, often called NGOs, to inform us that Plan Colombia is a disaster, that Uribe must be penalized and ousted, that alternative democracy is the only political recourse, that law and order must be truncated, that lying to the U.S. government and the people of Ecuador is a good idea and that the end of all functional commerce between Ecuador and the free world is a beneficial plan in the Noam Chomsky world of aberrant thinking. We are well past pondering what Harry Reid claimed as a spiritual awakening in the Andes even as his crony Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) has just told us that he really is smoking something in his unending efforts to legalize today's marijuana which is not marijuana at all for the "sick and infirmed" but is not much more that a weedy-based narcotics infused psychotropic agent of addiction. But Dick Durbin, who also decreed that the out of control liars at DAILY Kos are the mouth organs of the Democratic Party of the USA, a distinction that surely pleased their Soros-style backers and furthered their journalism gone wilding ways, is left unchecked to deify Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro.
What is an amazing situation remains this: Rafael Correa has pledged a Cuban style alignment for Ecuador. The American embassy wants to tell you that this is not a bad idea and that U.S. monies must be spent to install gay marriages, transgender rights, and fund homo erotic administrations rejoicing their good fortunes to shutter all known common sense even as it funds ridiculous support efforts for the ridiculously incompetent so called Plan Ecuador, itself reflective of the loonies operating the U.S.-Ecuadorean intelligentsia today like 15 year old adolescents with a fat wallet. But Cuba itself is a disaster and why anyone reveres that hell on earth for dead and debauched criminals is most peculiar. In fact, Putin's Russia recently saw their parliament insist that Cuba has stiffed them, running up a debt tab of over $25 billion in what others claim is closer to $50 billion. Add to this the phenomenal sums that Castro stiffed Mexicans, Argentineans, Europeans and every ridiculously incompetent who ever believed that Castro would honor any deal and you have at last reached the concept of why the USA demands a pay first plan for Castro's bed mates of Hugo Chavez. This is a policy which any sane government should insist upon and the lack thereof by the Venezuelans shows a full slide in to the abyss.
Recently Osama Bin Laden cheerfully informed the USA that it is acting more like Moscow before 1985. He was wrong. Venezuela is acting like Moscow, or in partnership with Russian monies, to prop up the failed Cuban regime. In fact, we do not know why Osama has not decamped to Bolivia like CHE! Surely there are some drone-proof caves he can find to join the ghosts of his criminal friends in Chavez land? Of course Hugo Chavez would make all efforts to help his Iranian bed mates and would assist his friend Osama, wouldn't he?
It comes to this: Rafael Correa is installing a Castro-Chavez-Iranian string of disasters in Ecuador, dooming his own people to a manipulated hell on earth.
The OAS calls this a glorious moment and the Jimmy Carter Center takes out an expensive leasehold for co-managing the installation of the Castro-Chavez plan for Ecuador. And their little pea-sized brains shall lead them....off a cliff. We are told time after time that John Maisto is right. We are told that we must look not to what Correa says [ for it is awful] but look to his acts. We are told he is redeemable and can be converted to perform acts of legitimacy.
We remind that this enabling and manipulative string of lies is guaranteed to appeal to the morally debauched whose own morals replicate the bath house boys from whom their moral rectitude stemmed. Indeed, Correa has maximized this ethos of the manipulative and debauched to a replacement of the once proud national anthem. No one with any integrity goes anywhere near Quito or Guayaquil these days. International finance has flown, investors have fled, education is sapped, and development is a joke. Not one- not one of these tragic situations can be blamed on anything except the bad governmental practices of Rafael Correa who continues to insist that he can game the system and game the truth. Maybe he can but a quick fact check tells us that U.S. ambassador Jewell is completely wrong to prop up Ecuador's failed and fake government called Rafael Correa. The fact is this: Correa is a liar, has ruined Ecuador and there is nothing left to do but report the facts honestly about this ruinous situation,. This would be novel and most welcome from the U.S. State Department which has refused to be honest about Ecuador since 2004. Like ripples on a widening pool of water, the circles of dishonesty widen, reminding us that lies once told are best rectified.
Take a look again at the Correa constitutional plan, Part I, for Ecuador. Ask yourself: why any sane or morally legitimate person on earth would pledge one penny to installing the Castro-Chavez plan for Ecuador just so that communism, transgender rights [ never a real issue], drugs and gay marriages are legalized? [Since marriage itself in Ecuador is meaningless except as a false front for arranged financial marriages, gay performances never suffer in Ecuador and this has never a problem from any in Ecuador as the Catholic church itself becomes little more than a corrupt Chavez propaganda tool with all the fake feathers imported from China as seen in the aberrant, phony shaman infused cult like ceremonies so preferred by Correa, Morales and Chavez]. Is this what all the noise is all about? The ruination of a once vibrant country on the rise to insure that it marches to the Soros drug beat of hedge fund style government of no transparency, no functional democracy and a place where drugs, sex and crime are legitimized? Could it be that simple?
Of course it is that simple and it is what is happening if one ceases listening to the enabling lies that all is fabulous in Ecuador and actually look at what is happening.
Open media and free speech is gone. Functional democracy is gone. Kangaroo courts and congresses flutter around like headless chickens. Correa has taken all controls of government and is set upon one more round of self legitimizing what is illegitimate: his pre rigged, unpopular dizzying array of doomsday behaviors in Montecristi, which now the USA and the multilateral banks will bless on the dishonest theory that as long as the USA pours money in to a dysfunctional and deprived zone that somehow good ness and mercy will follow.
In one of the most bizarre stories of good money down a rat hole, here is a short tale of US AID's newest opaque treaty with Ecuador pledging to almost double USA monies to prop up the Chavez-Castro regime inside Ecuador while anyone with a brain has taken their money and left. But US AID's contractors have been building momentum for this moment. Always ones to cleverly seize the cut away deals and prey on the carcasses of the dead and dying. US AID today enjoys the benefits of not once ever being honest about what it spends money on across Ecuador to aid and abet ambassador Jewell's vision that Correa has not once performed anything that is objectionable and thus must be rewarded.
Ask not what he says but watch what he does. She tells us what he does is not bad at all and is redeemable. Problem is- no fact based data reflects this and only hedge fund vultures and pro Chavez politicos buy her flawed effrontery which is used to keep her on post. This is no longer crude enabling but is reflective of the big lie that to install gay marriages and legalized drugs in a lawless Castro-Chavez narco zone state run by adolescent NGO mavens is preferable to legitimate governments. And is preferable to the functional reforms underway in Colombia which Ecuador is determined to destroy by its cheesy support for Chavez's plan to remove all law and order inside Colombia. Worse yet is the status of this illegal new US AID "treaty" with Ecuador which has yet to see the light of day and possibly over rides all past treaties with the USA for performance and function and accountability in order to hasten monies- lots of monies- for the Chavez take over plan for Ecuador's new narcostate before anyone actually looks at it. We all are looking at it: Ecuador steals U.S. companies, refuses to abide by World Bank arbitral rulings, lies to the U.S. government, lies to Ecuadoreans and performs grand theft of over 1/4 of its own monies that it is forced to bail itself out while taking more and more monies from Hugo Chavez. It is a brilliant hat trick by US AID and a handful of U.S. State Department operatives to perforce the USG to enjoin the perverse Chavez and Castro efforts inside Ecuador, as is the case today. It is, however, a dishonest intermarriage that is best avoided.
Without so much as a by your leave, US AID wants to buy sophisticated security equipment for the Ecuadorean regime supposedly for anti human trafficking.
All this sounds well and good, especially if one is Ricky Martin, unless and until one reviews the fact- long ignored by all involved, that Ecuador traffics in human beings, drugs and crime because Ecuador prefers, like US AID, to outfit the very regime that has enabled Ecuador to be as it is today: the murder capital of the world. Instead of throwing good money after bad, US AID should cancel their profligacy and instead of the fools errand that anyone at any time under Correa will stand for law and order, while marching out judges and congress and the media at gunpoint, forget about this Public Relations phoniness and actually follow the money trail across Ecuador in to the Pacific Basin. Even as Correa's own military, police and Chavez goon squads bear down on the local citizens- with massive electronic monitoring equipment- there is not a cat's chance in Hades that the PR campaign to help those trafficked will succeed. In fact, disaster is guaranteed in this fake ploy to make a faux government appear legitimate. We do however support legitimate efforts to stem human trafficking but does anyone seriously believe that the traffickers of narcotics, contraband and humans, sailing under the same Bolivarian flagship fleets will be curtailed by Correa who actually seeks a narcostate? Again- this is a fool's errand guaranteed to fail due to the lack of accountability, lack of seasoned management and all subsumed by the lawlessness that is Correa's Ecuador, no matter how good this fake and highly publicized U.S. democrat-backed propaganda campaign remains. The U.S. contractors in this scheme to pass off high end surveillance equipment to Chavez should withdraw before some IG type investigator takes a real look at this mess and lets the non political chips fall where they may. There is no excuse for handing millions of high end technology over to the Chavez-led Correa land once called Ecuador just so a small few make money and an even smaller few can pretend that rule of law exists in a place in this time where it does not.
At best this is a band aid thrown on an open vein- purposefully cut to insure suicide for Ecuador. At worst it is one more mismanaged ploy to make a false appearance of some legitimacy while badly trained NGOs run amuck, claiming capacity or.....employment development. Tragically it looks more like the public relations ploys of the 1930s as praise was heaped on Adolph Hitler as a man who was kind to children by running his summer youth camps...youth camps to force state controls, state school curricula, and genetic selection. Oddly, Rafael Correa has tacitly pledged this as well, following Chavez's Cuban school curricula programs to remove one of the last vestiges of Ecuadorean freedoms.
There is no rule of law in Ecuador: not any more. Ecuadoreans decided themselves that manipulating law and order would reap their own wallets financial benefits. This addiction to manipulative behavior remains one of the more glaring benefits of a coast to coast national disgrace. But instead of insisting on anything remotely resembling functional democracy, the U.S. government enabled the spread of corruption in Ecuador under its murky agency to aid and abet anti US activists called US AID which decided that rule of law is not needed any more in Ecuador and moved to seize and remove anything remotely resembling law and order over the last decade. Of this there can be no question. In order to form a more perfect union for the advancement of the narco state, Ecuador has not had one functional or definable activity underway outside what scant intelligence or military performances bring, which of course are irrelevant because no one is allowed or permitted outside Ecuador to say anything close to the facts for fear of frightening investors or revealing how depraved Ecuador has become. In fact, no one is allowed inside Ecuador to say the facts either for fear they will be carted off to jail with no due process and not a whisper of reprimand from the phony lovers of phony democracy no doubt renting expensive business suites like the Carter Group.
Ecuadoreans are fleeing Ecuador because the nation is dying of its own corruption. Twenty per cent have flown to parts unknown and most are not heard of again. We are supposed to applaud their remittances. We are supposed to believe that human trafficking is going to be tackled even as narcotrafficking, illegal shipping of anything and truly unbound and unhinged narcostate governance is being installed. Ricky Martin has no idea that his good name and his shaking back side will not prop up his falling career. Like Harry Belafonte taking Chavez's monies, these careers do not thrive under totalitarian regimes where Chavez's TELESUR decides who and what is heard on his Iranian News Agency partnered media. You see, Ahmadinejad does not permit Harry Belafonte or Ricky Martin music on his militant Muslim propaganda. The mullahs may encourage bigamy, polygamy and perversity for their ruling so called elites but frown on Western style music and messages that they cannot control, no matter how much Chavez and Correa try to use their celebrity status to sell his unique brand of criminality, sometimes called 21st Century Socialism.
Americans are told that Ecuador is desperately in need of their money- their hard earned tax dollars and that charity- over $30 million now from US AID- must follow. Americans believe that their government spends their monies to help build democracies and follows the mandates set forth by U.S. law regarding expenditures, accountability and transparency. Nothing could be further from the truth. Ecuadoreans, like global investors, run from Ecuador and are subjected to illicit trafficking because Ecuador is a disaster. Like Cubans fleeing from Castro's prison, Ecuadoreans are fleeing because Correa runs Ecuador in to the ground.
With no law and order, some are trafficked just as some are snatched as children and inserted inside the FARC camps to help in their new poppy businesses.
But US AID bizarrely will outfit the FARC entwined Ecuadoreans with high tech electronics and surveillance equipment. What should have happened is that US AID first insure that this equipment, not unlike the US AWACS misused in the last Border War with Peru, are not used against Ecuadoreans who already suffer full police state monitoring of their persons, their businesses and their every movements. Instead, carte blanche to the Chavez-Castro-Correa goon squads for full surveillance of the innocent is now going to be vastly enhanced through deceptive ploys that Ecuador will at last engage in something legitimate while nothing that Correa's Ecuador does is legitimate. Throwing good money after bad never helps. Had the National Police ever once performed serious citizen protections, one might assume that the Police deserved U.S. charity, sometimes called a US AID grant with no real accountability ahead, or that children of past leaders of the Ecuadorean national police would actually represent factually to anyone inside the USA or inside Ecuador the workings of the police which today are nothing better than corrupt goon squads already in bed with traffickers of all sorts and fully under the control of Correa-Chavez. This latest round of unaccountable monies to Correa and Chavez in Ecuador is akin to giving Adolph Hitler kindergarten playground equipment for his summer youth camps to ostensibly help the Nazis suspend human debasing/ human trafficking acts. If this be the sole reason for U.S. charity- to help prop up the criminally aberrant narco state called Rafael Correa's Ecuador, we want none of it and look for the day when Ecuadoreans stand to reject the false front which promises no good.
This is not some Peter Romero-style moment of moral equivalency where moral sell outs are useful as diplomatic tools in the war against corruption in Latin America. This is the Ecuadorean military and its police, already so perverted as to be feared by all for their craven and illicit acts daily. To pretend, as is the case today, that the National Police, however much a small cadre may remain affixed to some past glories of legitimate performances, is a functional legitimate police force is an idiot's errand of unending proportions. US AID has just handed massive- and very expensive- surveillance tools to the very STAASI like jack booted thugs who currently act only to protect and defend Correa and Chavez while storm trooping on all else. Before handing over one penny, we insist that a full review of just who gets this equipment and to what ends. As required by U.S. law, unless carved out in dirty side bar deals and cut away treaties, is supposed be justification, transparency and accountability. None of this is present in the US AID's rush to aid and abet the narco state of Correa and Chavez in Ecuador, supposedly to help reduce human trafficking by giving the thugs high end equipment to monitor innocents. Human trafficking is a horrific crime. Human trafficking is condemned by U.N. conventions and stands at the heart of all that humanity stands against. Rafael Correa's goons, sometimes called the National Police of Ecuador, will misapply this hugely sophisticated gift, supposedly to protect the innocent, but will follow course- full steam ahead- to shut down Ecuador as is currently the case in to a narco state where no liberties exist and all are under surveillance. All that is except Chavez and Correa. Instead of a cut away treaty that ignores accountability, far better to suspend these funds unless and until all facts are on the table and all accountability is insured.
We applaud and commend charitable acts and the suspension of human trafficking, as is required anyway of Ecuador's police. To be sure, Ecuador's police have suffered, as have all Ecuadoreans, with the grand theft of about 1/4 of their federal monies by Correa's wildly incompetent and dishonest team of bungling burglars. And this they have done all by their own acts- acts that enable these crimes and perversions. Even so, it is time to call in the adults and end this Romper Room for Criminally Aberrant Corrupt Actors, also called 21st Century communists. Call them what you will, but there are no Angels in this contracted morass. Ecuador pledged anyway-years and years ago- to fight against human trafficking, never mind that Correa has "lost" huge chunks of their monies needed to run all parts of the government while his own crews seem to get richer. Ecuador has more than enough oil reserves and funds to self fund if Correa and his happy band of dirty dancers would stop spending monies on illicit adventures. In fact Ecuador could look more like Switzerland or Chile than the Chileans. Then again, this is a nation that has a foreign affairs ministra who tries to convince you that it is not hard porn....but poetry. Or as Correa says....it is not a crime to traffic in drugs if one needs the money. Or it is great to lie to your citizens and to the world if one is imbued with so much bitterness and hate that one's self fulfilling prophecy is lived out on the grander stage.
Rafael Correa's popularity polls are finally showing that he is a failure. This is no easy feat in Ecuador where opinion polls rely on the most shallow polling pools and the lowest level questions that never prove much of anything even as quality of life is a disaster. Ecuadoreans should be disgusted with Correa. This nation is headed up by aberrant creatures of adventurism and dishonesty. There is nothing positive happening under these liars. And if any doubt the veracity of this report.....know this: many factors converge in a nation to cause its downfall and deterioration which ultimately is shown by real data. And that data today tells us what we have seen coming for the last 4 years: Ecuador is now the murder capitol of the world. We are sure that none of this has been previously reported by those who demand our silence. Our silence is to insure that U.S. give aways to prop up this failed nation flow.
We say: not one penny more for Ecuador unless and until functional democracy is back on the table, honest reporting is insured, and rule of law- not the phony, Chavez-style kangaroo rule of law as is currently paid for- is reinstated. All the fake reports and fake/counterfeited documents- reams of them- cannot undo the fact that Ecuador has no rule of law and that US AID's corrupted operatives drove the get away car. And that car- driven by thugs who never should have had the keys- is going off the cliff.
The Chavez movement in Ecuador is captured exquisitely on the "Ecuador Rising" updates, see their new pro Chavez communist blog site here extolling the glorious return of the Alfaristas who are of course our own local brand of the Shining Path and the FARC, sometimes called supporters of Chavez's Bolivarianism. These are not pro democracy folks unless of course you actually believe that Castro and Chavez host free and fair elections. And to rejoice in the advances made by the Alfaristas- aka Shining Path or Chavez activists, we post a photo from the U.S. Embassy in Quito which scheduled a U.S. Navy band to perform in Montecristi, not under the American or even Ecuadorean flag but under the banners extolling the return of the communist Alfarista rebellion.
Pictures of the excellent musicians were posted here of an August, 2007 friendship building mission in the region. The musicians did not perform in Quito, Guayaquil or Loja. No indeed. As if to christen the new shrine to the ruination of Ecuadorean freedoms, sometimes called Correa's constituent assembly locale, these representatives of the American military inexplicably were positioned to perform under massive pictures of Sr. Eloy Alfaro, the communist founder of today's terror/communist/Chavez funded group, the Alfaristas in his birth place, the tiny Montecristi. The U.S. embassy site chirpily tells us that this was organized out of the consul’s office in Guayaquil and that 400 souls braved the hot sun for the "friendship" event. This is akin to Ambassador Brownfield, while on duty as U.S. ambassador to Caracas, positioning the U.S. Army band to perform in Caracas under huge pictures of Fidel Castro and Che! Of course, Brownfield did not do this but you get the point. This was no clever slip of scheduling: to get to Montecristi is not an easy venue nor is the local population much larger than a one horse town, so to speak. With Alfarista-backed property confiscation, illicit activities and the destruction of functional democracy on their minds, we are asking what was on the minds of those arranging this "one hour event"?
The Alfaristas tell us plainly that Ecuador must never again enjoy private property, functional banking and financial as well as petroleum operations and that the current rule of law is illicit and must go and be replaced by their communism which would also mandate forced servitude in to what they call " obligatory social and civil service."
Today, Rafael Correa has remarkably and dishonestly, like some oddly added codicil to the US AID deal, pledged that his regime will have rule of law. Correa has dusted off the reform work from 2001-04 that indicated weak regulations and antiquated laws, locally called "legal trash." using a proven method that included full transparency, open debate, infusions of pan Ecuadorean analysts from all walks of life as well as experts, hundred of laws and regulations were scheduled for reform. Although Correa has no interest in this or in anything, to exhibit transparency or legitimacy, this current flourish for grandstanding on rule of law reforms is either a theft of the previous efforts or is another ploy by Correa to claim correct acts when his version of rule of law is.....rule of the criminal Chavez team. Or maybe both.
Unless and until there is rule of law in Ecuador, there is no rule of law. Contrary to what Insulza lies about, it is a fact that without rule of law, democracy, commerce, development, and governance are meaningless and usually quality of life falls away. There is no question that in a land where murder reigns supreme, rule of law does not exist, no matter how many lies Insulza or Correa or Chavez want to spew to tell us that all is well. All is not well. All is a criminal regime under the false guise of respectability cited by those who would not know respectability if it hit them on the head. Not one penny should be given by unwittingly generous Americans to help fund the criminal acts by Correa, supposedly to prevent human trafficking but will enhance his extant surveillance of innocent people even as Correa clamps down on all known liberties, shredding them to nothingness. Freedom of speech, like judicial security and governance is a joke in Ecuador today. This is so because Correa has accomplished what Lucio Gutierrez started: a full suspension of rule of law.
Always the badly misinformed parochial politician, Gutierrez today still aids dismemberment of progress and prevents Ecuador's resumption of integrity by pretending that the 57 ousted members of Congress will find domestic judicial relief- under Correa's fake judges. Gutierrez, not the brightest bulb to begin with, is addicted to the art of manipulative thinking. Swimming with river sirens inside the gutters and cess pools of manipulative thinking is not heading toward the river of truth for Ecuador. For this, shamefully Gutierrez once again bungles truth telling so as to never share the facts about Ecuador's demise on the even stupider fake promise that if one never state the facts, one can pretend that crime and disaster do not occur. Crime and disaster have occurred and it is called the facts: the facts that Ecuador is the crime capitol of the world where human life is taken away faster than any place on earth. How long do you think it will take to see this so called anti trafficking surveillance equipment either handed over to help the FARC or to "survey" the fools stupid enough to walk in to the new six month warehousing event at Montecristi, not unlike walking in to a six month camp visit to the camp at Buchenwald? Some camping adventures, like bad contracts to hand over high end equipment to criminals, are best avoided.
Meanwhile, Venezuela was finally kicked out of serving in the Global Community of Democracies, as a member nation at their next confab in Mali, as deemed correctly by what is left of Freedom House after it was internally riven/split and then merged with the Soros groups.
This group, seen here, is staffed up by Soros's own operatives or alliances.
Nonetheless, these folks cannot quite bring themselves to state the obvious: Hugo Chavez has removed functional democracy and is replacing it with criminal operatives.
We remind that when Uribe began heading up Colombia, direct foreign investment was about $500 million. This year, it will surpass over $8 billion even though Colombia does not sit on top of one of the world's largest oil reserves as does Chavez. Uribe has rebuilt Colombia the old fashioned way. No one doubts his integrity. As for Ecuador, jumping in to bed with Chavez, Castro and the FARC is not good for economies of scale and is not good for our children.
