Chavez Running Ecuador's Oil Policies and About 1/2 GDP of GOE
October 17, 2007 Note the lead sentence in this week's piece from Latin Business Chronicle: "Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa, inspired by policies in Venezuela, is aggressively attacking foreign oil companies in a gamble that likely will lead to further falls in oil output from Latin America's fifth-largest oil producing country.
Foreign oil companies account for half of Ecuador's oil production, while state oil company Petroecuador continues to be plagued by mismanagement and a heavy debt burden." Petroecuador, like Correa's national budgets, are not accountable/are never honest and all fiscal data- along with Correa's foreign and domestic policies- remain fraudulent. The government of Ecuador, like its woefully dishonest and incompetent PetroEcuador, badly needs a full forensic audit. Nothing honest is going on there. No confidence in Ecuador- and 1/2 its GDP from its state controlled oil sector- will be restored unless and until a full forensic audit is completed and reforms to the current Ecuadorean management plan of theft, collusion and racketeering are underway.
Simply put: Rafael Correa is a disaster and is working very hard to keep Ecuador at the very bottom of global lists of disastrous failed nations. Today Ecuador is not only the murder capitol of the world but it cannot find- and has no interest in finding- about 1/5 of its state revenues already this year. Correa cannot even manage Ecuador's oil production. Ecuador should be swimming in oil money today because the price of oil has doubled over the last few years. Incompetence and theft have seen oil revenues, like direct foreign investment in Ecuador, run out the door. Instead of doubling Ecuador's income- as would be appropriate- Ecuador suffers 1/3 loss of revenues already from theft and incompetence. The new piece on Ecuador, read it here, even cites Wall Street analysts as telling us that Ecuadoreans should be upset even as its own government sends out propagandists like Mauricio Davalos, who knows better than to do what he has been doing, to lie to international investors. Indeed they should. So too should be the U.S. Department of State which should bar these Ecuadorean thugs, liars and agents of pornography from entering the USA with the sole purpose to deceive and defraud. To this, the report should have included the base line fact that Davalos, as with every single Ecuadorean representative today, coordinates with Correa's team to consistently lie and mislead the U.S. government and global media.
Ecuadoreans should be bitterly ashamed at this team of governmental fraudsters, who are no longer welcome at legitimate seats of power.
Like the dirty dancing and manipulative porn stars that they are, Correa's team are notably incompetent propagandists for Hugo Chavez's one fascism bloc of nations. In fact, this gaggle gives porn stars a bad name as noted in this report for their insistence that criminal theft of an American company, bounding on around $5 billion in theft, is the real reason why Correa's regime has decided that burglary and theft is a lot more fun that actually growing Ecuador through sensible trade and legitimate development. basically this article says, if one really reads it, that Correa's rule in Ecuador has delivered lying propagandists as governmental agents and its governmental caducidad has ruined Ecuador's OTHER 1/2 of its GDP- foreign trade- due to criminal acts by its government. The primary half of Ecuador's GDP- oil- is stolen from, unaccountable and incompetently mismanaged. The people of Ecuador are lied to by their own government, which continues to pretend that all their own crime is the "fault" of others- some mysterious, unproven "other" whose acts have harmed Ecuadoreans. That "other" is in fact Hugo Chavez's siren song of racketeering and financial fraud. What the U.S. ambassador to Ecuador was doing over the last year to aid and abet the Correa regime in this tale of crime and self destruction is a topic for another day and belongs in the hands of any who care about economies of scale under the Chris Dodd foreign policy management grid.
"Venezuela's government will advise Ecuador on the negotiations for new contracts, Correa said Saturday." To the uninitiated and undereducated, this is not some benign investment planning gift from Chavez, who....like George Soros...does not ever engage in philanthropy but only acts to leverage or expand self enrichments through political gambits and hard line buy outs and buy ins. To their credit, both Chavez and Soros, while paying their own propagandists, sometimes called PR firms and most often called paid NGOs, to state that each act as philanthropists, but as men they claim that no- no, they are not really philanthropists but expanding their business and political spheres of influence, which obviously are on identical pro Chavez paths at times in South America. We agree: neither Chavez nor Soros are philanthropists. This is a distinction between Soros activities in Eastern Europe and Russia. For Chavez to "advise" on Ecuador's oil contracts is a surrender of Ecuador's ownership of its own mineral resources and an abandonment of its capacity to be a dependable partner and grow its own economy.
The government of Ecuador has surrendered its primary position and primary revenues to Chavez. None should be fooled by this even as one should respectfully inquire of U.S. ambassador Jewell just how many hundreds of Soros types are crawling in and out of her embassy and are on her "team" of advisors, errr...paid contractors. Rafael Correa clearly finds this a common usefulness to his ridiculous assault on common sense called Plan Ecuador. Notably absent in all this is Correa's also avowed plan to install Predator style drones out of the Manta Base. We remind that Correa is the same man begging for a financial bail out, even as this irresponsible and fraudulent loan package should be cancelled for its non accountability, from the Interamerican Development Bank [ IDB] because he cannot find about 1/5 of this year's monies. Correa also pleads poverty before the U.S. government when Ecuador could be, if Correa was not ruinously at the helm, a self sustaining and vibrant economy. When will the USA and global lenders stop lying to themselves and denying that Wall Street has summed up Correa for what he is: a liar and a fraudster? Correa has driven foreign investment away because he is incompetently dishonest and is stealing not only from American businesses but from his own people. Accessing capital to grow- also called development money- is not available to Ecuador because Ecuador is entirely too dishonest. There is no development in Ecuador today: only criminal rackets and theft. No legitimate development, outside a few hectares here and there of broccoli growers and private money making toll road builders, are seen. No one should do business with Ecuador unless and until it returns to a baseline system of accountable and responsible government. Then again, the record shows that no legitimate business is doing business with Correa and Chavez: not really. Some products are sold in both nations but the politburo carefully monitors and regulates this now.
Why would anyone- any foreign nation- insist that its own oil contracts be renegotiated under another foreign hand... a hand well known as dishonest, manipulative and completely non factual/unaccountable? Why would anyone trust.....this manipulative sell out, seen here and worse....why would any nation freely want this miscreant to run their country, as is the case in Ecuador today? Note the hammer and sickle.

Correa's own addiction to Cuban style Marxism and his manipulative marriage to the financial rackets called Russian money movers; Iran's cult leader Ahmadinejad and Hugo Chavez is a disaster of historic proportions. Chavez and Correa in fact are fascists who engage some private enterprise to exist while completely under state manipulations. Why Ecuadoreans are so ill advised that this is tenable reaches the outer limits of patience and responsible assessment.
Meanwhile, the FARC declares that Fidel Castro is a "warrior of love." You cannot make this stuff up. Read it here from EFE media. Warrior of love? And the FARC sincerely calls themselves worthy of diplomatic standing before the UN and seriously want to run 1/2 of Colombia, even as its own agents spend more time with Congresswoman- and Speaker, we remind, Nancy Pelosi than actual truth tellers? Warrior of love? Fidel Castro never loved one thing except himself as terror chief in general and as head of a KGB styled terror training island state whose dead beat ways are unbelievable still. Many are concerned whether Fidel Castro is dead or alive. We are more concerned with honoring the innocent victims of his terror regime which is today being run by Hugo Chavez to perpetuate...more terror and misery. Warriors of love. Maybe the above cartoon, however repulsive, is not so far fetched after all. Take a long hard look at this cartoon: it is the destiny of all Ecuadoreans under the Correa plan as proxy state to global crime.
The MIAMI HERALD reports here that Mexico has seen the future and does not want Chavez and the FARC running Mexico....yet. Steve Johnson says that in Mexico alone, last year saw over 2,000 drug executions. He says, "Mexico is under siege." Mexico may be under siege but Mexico barely dodged a bullet by not electing Chavez's own Manual Lopez Obrador last year. But like most corrupteds, Lopez Obrador has not gone quietly in to the night. Like the FARC, which deserves the final solution: surrender or imprisonment- Mexico's
Chavez-backed spree of violence is a hands-on affair and has not surrendered. Unlike the blathering goons of misinformation via paid propaganda from Chavez....Mexico warrants global attention not a ridiculous HANDS OFF! propaganda campaign, as Chavez pays for.
The MIAMI paper also reports here that free speech is under siege in South America, thanks to Chavez and the generally feckless media owners who fail repeatedly to take a principled position to defend free speech as long as the money is rolling in. The ethos of simply being "rich" as being value added is distanced by the call for positions of principle to defend and expand the very thing from which these titans writ small do self enrich: freedom of expression which they barely defend at all today. Hardly avatars of patriotism, no Latin media owner should act as a girlie girl today, enabling additional corruption across Latin America. Rather, swift, clear positions to advance open and free speech are called for. No democracy exists without free speech and anytime Insulza tells you that this is not so, he is lying. Venezuela is not a functional democracy. Neither is Ecuador or Bolivia: They are not even governments or nations any more: they are state cults in fascist economic zones run under one hand. Just ask Chavez. He has just announced that he is reuniting all Latin nations, following Ho Chi Minh's reuniting of the two Viet Nams under one communist dictatorship. Problem is: Chavez is serious and he has trillions more in oil money than Ho Chi Minh/Viet Nam ever held. Chavez is not satisfied with merely managing Cuba and running Ecuador in to the ground. His geo physical aspirations are far larger as any naked review of his weapons of aggression build up will show.
Do you know why Correa is buying PREDATOR drones and where this money comes from? Correa is broke, or so he tells us. He cannot find Ecuador's money. But drones are not cheap. Ask.
