Brazil Turned Away by U.S. Investors over Chavez-Mahmoud; Correa is Chavez on a Moped

November 10, 2007  Florida's Governor Crist, not to be confused with the Shining Path sister group the Alfaristas, sometimes called Correa's political movement ALLIANZA PAIS, currently enshrining themselves in Montecristi, recently took the right stand and turned away another sister to Rafael Correa and Hugo Chavez: PetroBras by correctly noting their ties to Iranian government actors. Crist, you see, intends to uphold the laws of the USA and Florida and turn away investments with all sponsors of state terror. Crist informed PetroBras that his government would not invest with Brazil because Brazil does not break with Iran. Correa and Chavez are growing their full ties to Iran and the FARC. Today sponsors of state terror are comprised of a short list- well under 40 groups and nations- deemed worthy of blackballing because these countries are disgusting and illicitly conspire with global criminal undertakings.

We say: bravo to Crist and condemn the foolishness in Montecristi and all who conspire with global criminals, sometimes called the FARC or Iran.

We are sure that PetroBras was surprised that anyone would for once question their unaccountability and refusal, as with all matters, by Lula, to disclose. Read it here. To be sure, jumping in to bed with terror groups such as Iran, Hezbollah, the FARC carries consequences which apparently are not known to those who prefer to refuse to grasp the concept of law and order. Florida officials reported that,"...Petrobras could not offer any guarantee that their business dealings with Iran would end next year." And what you may ask will Rafael Correa state honestly when asked such a question regarding intent to cease financial and political dealings with his new partner Iran? In fact he has already answered and continues to expand Ecuadorean-Venezuelan-Iranean-FARC ties in far too many vehicles of conceit and deceit. We urge you to ask and know what consequences lie when one lies down with dogs, miscreants, thugs and global criminals. Know your customer and know your government.

Appeasement they tell us is the best course. But as we all know, the only difference between appeasement and surrender is just a matter of time. To all those who tell us that some magical moment will occur when appeasement succeeds and common sense wills out, we remind that surrender has never once gained success, only loss. Today, Correa has gassed up the Chavez-Castro take over plan of Latin America and is moving faster than the deeply unprincipled Hugo Chavez, zipping along at an amazing speed while Chavez looks more and more like Star Wars' Jabba the Hut.

When Venezuelan-born Alek Boyd focuses on the genuine trends from Caracas, few explain Chavez better. And to understand the crude Chavez is to understand his full time partner Rafael Correa who is nothing more than Chavez on a moped, a slick and shiny Moped but a Chavista in crime nonetheless. Today Boyd correctly writes here that, "The deterioration of Chavez's image is of his own making, his deep pockets can't buy talented enough PR people to spin his authoritarian actions. Everyone knows that he led a coup d'etat after conspiring for decades. Equally the fact that he's fixated on reforming the constitution in order to remain in power for life is not lost, neither it is that he is the only official in Venezuela that can aspire to it. His thoughts in this respect are telling `I won't allow the emergence of caudillos...' Chavez concluded. Ergo there can be only one caudillo in Venezuela....Sugarcoating the reform by throwing some populist measures, such as reducing working hours in a country with so much poverty, only reflects the sheer disrespect he has for the less fortunate. Ignoring rulings from the Supreme Court contrarian to indefinite re-election demonstrates how little regard Chavez has for rule of law.
Still I have no doubts that when voting comes the reform will 'pass.' No international observers have been invited to the event. The media is almost in its entirety under the president's thumb and so are all branches of power, including the electoral council. Scarcity of eggs, milk, sugar and other basic food products will be solved a fortnight before the vote and Chavez will appear on TV saying that he had to, personally, counter hoarders and see that the country's shelves are stocked. The traditional opposition has been relegated, eclipsed by the student movement, alas the students seem to be as ill equipped to successfully confront the caudillo as their predecessors. Their main proposal, which is to delay the referendum on the reform and summon a constituent assembly, only plays in the establishment's favour, for it shows a disposition to continue playing by the regime's rules in a game already fixed. Statements from former savior and ally General Raul Baduel against the reform, calling people out to vote NO, are nothing but a red herring as is the pretended lively dissent that exists within chavismo. And yet Venezuelans still believe in fake prophets.

Common wisdom outside Venezuela is that Hugo Chavez is not only a danger to his country but to the region." And yes- Chavez is still in full power and growing in girth daily. Unless and until valid steps are taken, no valid steps have been taken about Chavez and Correa with surrender on the horizon.

Are we clear yet on what Chavez and Correa are doing? Are you still dazed and confused by your own hesitancy to dig for the facts, stay informed and act upon your conscience? Be confused no more....it is just an excuse anyway for a life without purpose, which we all know is the highest goal one can achieve in the Andean nations: a purposeless life chock full of excuses instead of principles and addictions to these excuses for purposelessness. It is the new plague.

Today, with full lies blaring and glaring, Rafael Correa announces he will steal some more from Mexico's MOVIL and the USA's City Oriente.

What is required is a full and formal statement from the OAS, from Ecuadoreans and from the USA that caducidad by any Latin nation, especially Correa's, will not stand. Instead, Linda Jewell of the USA diplomatic corps, as backed by Senator Chris Dodd and her Soros buddies at US AID and the OAS and points unaccountable, tells us that all will be well in Ecuador because these matters can be magically adjudicated under the World Bank arbitral courts while she can duck any pretense at making one single stand on principles and escape standing for basic law and order, preferring to pass the issue to some far off/far in the future as yet undefined arbitration. We remind Ms. Jewell, as plenipotentiary of President Bush's government that theft and asset seizure of American companies- which she has yet to even once condemn- is despicable and remains a crime. We also remind her to check the facts and stop cheerily skipping over the crimes underway by the Correa regime, particularly that this very same World Bank arbitral court, which she seems to think has the authority to perform law and order, has already informed her embraceable Rafael Correa that he is not to steal from City Oriente which Correa promptly did do. By his acts, Correa has said he can and does ignore all arbitral courts and considers himself outside the law. Rafael Correa is not embraceable and for his very acts, Ms. Jewell needs to check her performance, stop embracing this criminal, and complete what she is tasked to do or get out of the way and let a truth teller perform that function as is appropriate. Further, Correa has broken a previous World Bank arbitral ruling to refund OCCIDENTAL back taxes.

Correa's response to any who enter in to arbitral court is to try to jail them and levy additional fines with no due process. Linda Jewell continues to embrace Rafael Correa even as his adventurism in destroying Ecuador as well as his theft and lies campaign widens. We do not know what her copious embrace is doing to support not only Americans but any semblance of global justice, that is real justice...not the Soros and Correa fake justice.

If Ecuador is to succeed, it can no longer pretend, as Ms. Jewell does, that someone else can "fix" Correa. That is like pretending that the badly infiltrated opposition in Ecuador can fix Correa without garnering any support from liberty lovers and informing of same while harming functional acts to build liberty, installing instead incompetence and political allies, called contractors, of Chavez-Correa. Correa has already refused the World Bank mandates and its rulings. Read about throwing in the towel, often called surrender, with no efforts to defend law and order here in EL UNIVERSO.

And you may wonder why Latins do not trust far far too too many US officials upon hearing their actual words Instead of foisting these low level bungling burglars called the Correa team on the World Bank courts at great expense to one and all, far better to prevent crimes and install core legalities instead of enabling bungling burglars because, you see, burglars who steal from Americans do this to help the poor. And if you believe this line, you are, as with so many, a useful idiot and worse: you are aiding and abetting crime. To pretend that Correa gives even a modicum of support to actual even handed justice is a disservice to truth telling while these craven acts of appeasement are but a small step from surrender. We are quite aware that there is no rule of law in Ecuador and has not been for about three years. This simple fact has itself driven away global support for Ecuador. For three years nothing has been done to build law and order or rule of law in Ecuador.  But today there is no rule of law at all- only lies and cover ups as Correa controls all courts, laws and law makers and rejects even normative global standards. Correa has repeatedly stated publicly that he just does not care and while spending millions to explain that he does intend to be responsible, he himself continues along to tell us that he has every intention of remaining irresponsibly criminal. There is no fix for Correa and nothing to embrace and any who tell us differently are themselves complicit. Complicity with criminals is not diplomacy, no matter what they may tell you nor does it achieve their afrorestated goals of "helping the poor." We all know what helps the poor and it is an overdue problem to stop lying about how best to help the poor, stop blaming others for this problem, stop pretending that the state can fix it, stop irresponsibly failing to act one on one to help the poor, and making excuses that Chavez and Correa's crime alone can help the poor. Criminals never sustain the poor nor help them long. Criminal regimes such as Correa's do make life unendurable for millions- not just that about 30% of Ecuador has made a mass exodus but that crime and murder is at an all time high while Ecuador's global reputation as a liar and failed state has never been worse. This is not embraceable but condemnable.

While we do not know why the embarrassing Ms. Jewell and her team are still at their Quiteño outpost for misinformation and failed diplomacy [we hope this oversight is corrected very soon], we do know this: the excuse that Chavez and Correa must destroy Mexican, European, Canadian and American businesses- which they lump in with whatever they want to call the oligarchy- in order to help the poor is a pathetic lie. We will denounce this every time paid governmental operatives in their unauthorized and discredited outposts repeat this lie, as is the case far too often and will now be held accountable for what it is. Adult supervision is long overdue as these highly paid persons go wilding. You can also keep you own list of paid liars and suggest that they get on with truth telling, which can only help.

Today, Chavez and Correa are doing all they can to stop honesty from reaching their shores or departing their shores. This includes pretending that doing business and bed hopping with state sponsors of terror is their god given right and must be protected even as the global community condemns these craven acts. Ms. Jewell might serve her own country- and encourage truth tellers in Ecuador - to so say instead of continuously embracing the unembraceable as if answering to the Chavez propaganda teams instead of the laws of her own land.

Do you know who stands to tell the truth? Keep asking. Do not be afraid of the facts. Just ask PetroBras. They were shocked that any would catch their deceptions. And we all know that the overpaid Correa-Chavez web of deceit is massive and unembraceable, however copious.
