November 10, 2007 The King of Spain has cajones and makes the rest of the sorry lot of Latin American diplomats and elected officials look as if they desperately need testosterone patches, which the entire feckless, meaningless lot surely do. For once someone told Hugo Chavez to shut up. For once.
 
In all these years of his bellowing and abusing the Spanish language, his crude behavior in public finally got the put down he has long needed. We can only ponder which drugs Chavez was high on this week and who forgot his lithium as many say is the case. In fact, we ponder....why subject the world to this tyrant and why would any listen to his bizarre and rude disembowelments as he utters daily and then bizarrely turns around to croon Latin love songs in his paradise of love called Bolivarianism.
 
We know what love is and what Chavez is....is not love. We remind the old saying that love is not arrogant or boastful. Love is neither unkind nor full of hatred and obsessions which lead to addictions to manipulative behaviors. Chavez is no one to be trifled with for he will set his goons and worse on his enemies. But he is not kind, he is not polite, he is not honest, he is not sane, he is not a leader of men but does lead by avarice and greed and entrapment. Chavez is no one to take home to your mother....that is unless your mother is like far too many in the Andes who think that simply being "rich" is all that credits a man. Chavez is now rich and we urge all the manipulative and morally dumb Mamas in Latin America to please- feast upon your progeny Hugo and....take him with you, for he is yours.
 
We have heard it all and most tell us that they abhor Chavez and would never have him at table in their homes. To this we note a stunning disingenuousness. Chavez is at your table every day if you live in the Andes. And every day that none stand up against his take over, is another day of enabling and the worst sort of laziness ever seen in Latin America. It is cravenly open now and is for Venezuelans their daily fare. And still none exhibit the good grace and manners of King Juan Carlos to insist that Chavez behave. Not one Andean soul has ever noticeably acted on principle or honor with regard to Chavez because they are trained to enable and assist this evil. It is time to stand proudly with King Juan Carlos of Spain and turn away from Chavez. Noticeably missing in this entire melee is Insulza who would never ever say one word against Chavez. He joins his Andean brethren in this shameful lack of morals and....cajones.
 
Recently, an American blog posted a decent analysis of why so many say nothing and shamefully do nothing about these criminals running their land, focusing on the refusal to exert self discipline and self control while claiming victimhood as an excuse to do nothing/say nothing....be nothing meaningful. (Read the entire post here.)  
 
"Our cultural focus on enhancing "self-esteem" has resulted in the near-worship of emotions and feelings at the expense of reason and thought; on emphasizing "root causes" and victimhood, instead of demanding that behavior be civilized and that individuals exert self-discipline and self-control--no matter what they are "feeling".

In discussing the elevation of victimhood to an exalted status -- both for individuals and groups; another post of mine pointed out:

[...] those searching for an expedited pathway into the exalted status of Victimhood. Becoming a victim --as we all have learned from famous TV stars, prominent politicians; religions, races, and even nations--is an advantageous state of being in many ways, several of which are:

-You are not responsible for what happened to you
-You are always morally right
-You are not accountable to anyone for anything
-You are forever entitled to sympathy
-You are always justified in feeling moral indignation for being wronged
-You never have to be responsible again for anything.

As you can see, these are some heavy-duty privileges; and they are not given to just anyone. This list is not exclusive."

As with all Chavistas and Correa types, they are responsible for nothing that happens in their lives, they are not accountable to anyone and forever co ordinate sympathy while demanding moral indignation for the  alleged wrongs in their lives, while never lifting a finger. This national anthem and societal tendency is pervasive now in schools, churches and worse- in most homes in the Andes. Such a Correa-Chavez profile helps no one and aids and abets the worst human deteriorations. To this irresponsible failure of human beings, we say: snap out of it! Grow up! Stand and act, for once.

You will find that elusive self respect at last when you stand for ethics and responsible behaviors.

The entire dust up in Chile started with Chavez demanding respect. We remind that good men and true never need to demand respect- respect moves in their entire being. But Chavez behaved so badly that the King had to walk out, which is of course what bullies and thugs are trained to do in the Andes by their Mamas: bully and threaten others. We also call this racketeering and criminal behavior. All of Latin America needs to walk out on Chavez- every one. Chavez tells us that Aznar of Spain is a fascist. While Aznar is not a top prize, he does stand for his convictions and this is admirable. Aznar is no fascist and does not deserve Chavez's accusations when, as we all know, Chavez enjoys his own special fascism.

    "a... loathsome slug of a gangster, Jabba the Hutt was the preeminent kingpin of crime in the Outer Rim Territories. Basing his operations out of Tatooine, the Hutt had his pudgy fingers in a number of lucrative and unsavory rackets -- slavery, gunrunning, spice-smuggling, extortion and more. Jabba's physical appearance was as repulsive as his decadence. A hefty Hutt, Jabba resembled a worm-like slug, with a legless, tapered body coated in slime. A wide, drooling toothless grin split his flat face, and two yellow-red reptilian eyes stared covetously from his immense head. Jabba surrounded himself with the shiftless dregs of society, ensuring his protection with a screen of henchmen and hired guns. He lived in an opulent if sand-scarred palace out in the Tatooine deserts. 

    Jabba's depravity was legendary. He kept himself entertained by torturing and humiliating his subjects. He kept scantily-clad slave girls chained to his throne for     his amusement. When fickle, Jabba would send his prize possessions to a ghastly end. For example, the beautiful Twi'lek slave Oola was fed to the terrible rancor monster living beneath Jabba's throne room when she failed to amuse him. To spread his influence and business across the Outer Rim, Jabba employed a number of smugglers to traffic his illicit goods." 
 
Here we have the two separated at birth...Chavez and Jabba the Hutt whose shared attributes are much more than physical:

To understand Chavez is to understand Jabba the Hutt in all his criminal depravity. To understand Rafael Correa is to understand that he and Chavez are a unique duo. We are known by the company we keep and by what feeds us...be it legal or illegal, healthy or unhealthy. Indeed, Chavez's rampant Jabba the Hutt hunger looks like he is illegally gobbling up all that he can, as fast as he can. With the hammer of communism, he has seized and stolen  telecoms, industry, oil, media, private industry, agribusiness and  with the syckle of totalitarianism he has carved up all hopes for the citizens, leaving liberty gasping for help while the world....goes shopping and irresponsibly turns a blind eye with uneloquent silence of the ruinous.
