Chavez Formed New Bloc of Virulent Castro-Style Dictatorships: Ecuador Happily Surrenders
November 16, 2007 We commend the WASHINGTON POST for belatedly coming around to the fact that Hugo Chavez fully intends to destroy freedom everywhere he goes. Read the POST piece here.
"...Chavez's rewrite would complete his transformation into an autocrat. It would lengthen his presidential term from six to seven years and remove the current limit of two terms, allowing him to serve indefinitely. He would have broad powers to seize property, to dispose of Venezuela's foreign exchange reserves, to impose central government rule on local jurisdictions and to declare indefinite states of emergency under which due process and freedom of information would be suspended. As a populist sop, one provision would reduce the workday from eight to six hours; that benefit, the state's control over national television and the voting process, and the apparent intention of many Venezuelans to stay away from the polls are expected to deliver the necessary ratification. Venezuela is on the verge of succumbing to a dictatorship that will isolate and retard the country, maybe for decades. It's encouraging that so many of its people aren't prepared to give up their freedom without a fight."
While we commend their wordsmithing, this horrible tale has already come to fruition in Ecuador which has succumbed to a dictatorship that has already isolated and retarded the country and these repulsive and irresponsible acts will malign Ecuador for decades. It is not encouraging at all that most Ecuadoreans are rapidly looking like wastrels, wimps and fools for so readily and dishonorably surrendering their freedoms without a fight.
While Ecuadoreans want to pretend that Hugo Chavez and Rafael Correa are not like cockroaches and termites destroying all liberties in their path...and turning back the hands of progress delivered by the hard work over centuries of some of mankind's highest reaches, sometimes called western civilization, the world has begun to detail- far too slowly in fact- what Ecuadoreans refuse to be honest about. That is...a horrible plague is upon your house. The plague is the life ending epidemic of dishonesty, unaccountability, greed and fake governments. It is the end of freedoms. Pretending, like glossy eyed cult members in destructive groups that there is no harm in pretending that the cult will save you is irresponsible and self destructing, as are all cults.
Here then, at http://cagle.com/working/071113/bish.jpg is what the world sees and what Ecuadoreans refuse to see by choice:

You can pretend that this infestation is only worrisome. You can hire, as Correa does, those who help spread the word that the death of liberty is not a problem- only worrisome. You can join with Chavez and Correa in some of the most expensive disinformation and lobbying campaigns ever foisted upon a corrupt and willing sub set of governmental functionaries and the badly compromised accomplices in the media who should know better. You can pretend that you can manipulate this infestation and make money off these disease carrying scourges. You can make believe that your life has meaning and will hold value under totalitarianism.
You can blame the United States wrongly for your own failure to act on principles. You can also remain unattractive, unwanted and hopelessly addicted to a ruinous manipulative life. All of these things you can do- irresponsibly and with great self inflicted psychoses. Or....you can grow up and stand against the scourge of this age, which has already ripped Latin America in half. Ecuador's role in this tearing asunder of a united for progress South America is huge. Without Correa's dizzying activities, performing as he does like Chavez on a shiny new Moped, Chavez would appear as if he has no allies in his new bloc to destroy all the good that ever stumblingly came forward in Latin America. Ecuador today is guilty in the eyes of the world for helping this assault on progress and as yet, not one has stood meaningfully to upend this pestilence.
Do you know how to stop infestations?
-Pedro Camargo for ECrisis

Ecuador happily surrenders..!!
YES the did,the honneymoon with the socialism of the century XXI is not over yet, just wait untill the November the 29,when the constituent assembly is
installed in Montecristi, ciudad Alfaro, there, the official dictatorship in Ecuador is about to begin...!!!
The ecuadoreans still dreaming, they still believing that the constituent assembly will solve all the problems of the ecuadoreans, they were told that by their president,Rafael Correa, the lier of the century XXI,the unconditional servant of Hugo Chavez.
Is terrible to see the ecuadoreans with out of any reaction to all the constitutional violations by Correa and his goverment.
They allready announces the disolution and closing of the congress, they allready announces the new constitution must give to Correa all the power to control de country and not allow to return what he call anarqui, the righ wing who goes with the capitalism and is allied with the USA,is sad to see,18 years after the end of the socialism in east europe, and the eventual fall of the Berlin Wall,in southamerica the socialism returning with their all tricks and lies, wearing a mascarade called socialoism of the century XXI,nothing new,the old retoric, the dictators against The United States..!!!
Yes,that region is infested with the epidemic cancer called socialism, and Hugo Chavez along with Rafael Correa have convinced to the people their are there to safe those countries and take out from the american dominium, called the imperialismo and la noche neo-liberal.
Is sad to see the ecuadoreans waiting for the constituent assembly, waiting foe the miracle, waiting for a better life conditions, better education, better healthcare,to sad to see the ecuadoreans claiming that Rafael Correa made the change possible, and supporting him,the polls shows that the 72% of the population are happy with this regimen..and as Mr Camargo said..they happily surrender without of suspecting that they were fooled by Correa, lied by Correa..and ignoring all the corrupted acts by the members of Rafael Correa's goverment and himslef.
Three and a half millions of ecuadoreans were invited to return to Ecuador, because la patria ya es de todos..to bad..that patria is not mine..and i think most of those three and a half millions will think the same way..we love freedom...opportunities..good life..good education..good healthcare..for us and our families..!!
Once again,Thanks Mr Camargo for the exelent comment about Las cucarachas socialistas en Ecuador y Venezuela..la epidemia del siglo XXI...!!!nothing else but that..!!
Greetings from Chicago.

Good article Mr Camargo, and thumbs-up to Mr Gonzalo’ comments. He has said what the totality of conscientious people thinks aloud, now silenced by the prevailing fear that the “correistas” have successfully imposed, thanks to the old tactics, and lies implanted with the ambiguous and nefarious advise of an expert in power longevity and dictatorships, Fidel Castro, and his dazzled follower, and nouveau riche, Chavez, and its opportunist partisans.
