Correa Lies to OPEC About U.S. Economy to Prove Cult Credentials with Chavez and Iran
November 20, 2007 Rafael Correa claims to be such a clever economist. He may be clever at his stubborn insistence that lying and jiggered economic data....and hiding Ecuadorean budget figures... is a good "economic" manipulation but he fails repeatedly at any actual accountable economic analysis. His latest global gaffe showed Correa telling the globe that Hugo Chavez and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are right- always right- that the U.S. dollar is a disaster and not worth the paper it is printed on. Correa lied at OPEC on many issues.
Correa, never one to use the facts, blatantly lied about the billions saved by Ecuadoreans in using the U.S. dollar by eliminating run away inflation and currency manipulations and while financially benefiting by the billions from what he called worthless paper, he reprehensibly reported to OPEC that the U.S. dollar is worthless and should be abandoned because the U.S. dollar and its economy is a disaster. This comes as news to the on going Central Banker which controls Ecuador's currency: Ben Bernacke, chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve. In fact, for a president of a nation which depends on the largesse of the U.S. government to permit it to use in all senses of the words the U.S. dollar, Correa slaps the face of the largesse that has protected Ecuador from billions they would gladly lose some more called run away inflation. The U.S. central banker, transparent and accountable [items Correa refuses] has sustained a policy strengthening the U.S. economy which today enjoys low unemployment, soaring stock market values, bond values as enjoyable and investment on the up and up as well as soaring international trade.
Rafael Correa just lied to OPEC and the globe about the U.S. dollar and its economy. He also lied to the people of Ecuador. To date, no one has noticeably demanded that Rafael Correa stop lying. We do not understand this.
What Correa publicly stated ignores many facts. As reported in the AMERICAN THINKER, read it here, the new Chavez axis noted that at OPEC. " `The dollar is in free fall, everyone should be worried about it,' Mr. Chávez told reporters here. `The fall of the dollar is not the fall of the dollar - it's the fall of the American empire.' During a news conference after the meeting, Mr. Ahmadinejad added: `The U.S. dollar has no economic value.' " More to the point: "The recent decline in the value of the dollar seems to have unnerved some Americans and emboldened less economically sophisticated enemies, but it is a boon for American exporters, and underlies our continuing economic strength."
In other words, the economy of the USA is doing better than ever, quality of life is on the rise and the "presidents" of Iran, Ecuador and Venezuela, whose economies are disastrous, unaccountable, and at the bottom of the global list of nations- reflecting their failed nation status- have little to zero quality of life or freedoms. Ecuador, which benefits from U.S. largesse to avoid what Chavez and Iran suffer from- run away inflation which is very expensive- wants to tell us that the U.S. dollar is worthless. Correa is a liar and furthermore is a man who lies to advance his commitments to dishonest regimes, called the Iranian-Venezuelan axis.
After Correa's series of lies in front of OPEC, which should refuse his entree for his utter dishonesty, the media in Ecuador notes a growing restiveness against the public revelations made by Correa which are irrefutable. It is one thing for Ecuadoreans to pretend that Correa can be manipulated locally by the ever willing local manipulative efforts, but it is another thing entirely when Correa reveals his true self internationally which is one arena which the locals refuse to encourage because Correa is so- well, embarrassingly corrupt, uneducated and dishonest. No one in Ecuador wants this to be known outside Quito. No one in Ecuador wants the global community to know exactly how bad things are in Ecuador and how disgustingly aberrant Correa actually is. To be honest about Correa is to be honest about themselves. And that is not acceptable. What is truly not acceptable is that Ecuador is headed by a dictator who is a liar and has fully enjoined Ecuador with Chavez's Venezuela and Iran for all the wrong reasons. Ecuadoreans are about to realize that their investment in manipulating reality by supporting Rafael Correa is very costly- both morally and financially. By their own foolishness, Ecuadoreans are fast grasping the concept that their own adventures in dishonesty and manipulative behaviors have cost them to lose all their investments in the deceptive Correa. Nothing is sadder than a nation which has been duped by itself.
Like spoiled, manipulative and badly educated adolescents, Ecuadoreans seriously believe that they alone can manipulate reality and can actually manipulate Correa, who has been manipulating them, along with Chavez and Ahmadinejad. Ecuadoreans believe /are addicted to their own manipulative approaches to life that they actually refuse to grow up and work as adults with global leaders and freedom lovers from any other nation to develop sustainable democracy and freedoms for Ecuador which have now been forcibly removed by Correa and Chavez...because Ecuadoreans believed that they could manipulate the manipulative Correa and refused to act responsibly. This is now a story on the global stage and none in Ecuador can any longer afford both the lies and ruinous policies of Correa but can no longer hide behind their own personal tendencies to manipulate the very news and facts about their own lives. The cat is out of the bag and it is extremely unattractive.
Ecuador's HOY newspaper, read it here, calls Correa's comments before OPEC as "inconvenient."
Ecuador has no idea, because it self deludes, as to how "inconvenient" Correa's ruinous marriage with the globe's best criminals and liars is. A simple tally of how much Ecuador has lost and will lose before March, 2008 indicates a full disaster. While it may be inconvenient for all Ecuadoreans to cease and desist their addiction to manipulative behaviors, the common truth is that Ecuadoreans cannot manipulate Chavez or Correa and can no longer manipulate the truth and the facts. That is the inconvenient truth and must be learned and corrected soon. We suggest a full intervention with those who have and hold freedom's principles and adhere to core integrity. Our readers can start with their own analysis of this. We suggest you compile your own short list of global allies and truth tellers: you will need them. In fact, you have needed them for the past few years and have irresponsibly ignored the benefit known to all...that good men come together for the better of all and refuse those who insist that there are no truth tellers in the world and thus, surrender and manipulation must follow.
EL COMERCIO today, read it here, tells us that Ecuador, by its full alignment with Chavez and Iran is "alienating" global freedom lovers. This, as with every issue before Ecuador today, should come as no surprise, however it is embarrassing. Ecuadoreans alienate themselves from global freedom lovers and indeed must stop this plan of self destruction and deception.
However, here is what manipulative adolescents really look like to normative adults, whose only correct response is revulsion- not enabling and appeasement- which is currently the active foreign policy and personal response to these whiney, irritating manipulative actors:

We are long past weary with these whiney, manipulative actors who by default and enabling continue apace until adults step in and say: no mas. This requires consistent truth telling and accountability: two areas which Ecuadoreans refuse to require both in their home lives and in their politics. In neither place do lives enjoy quality or serenity as such matters can be better: there are better ways.
As a follow up to Correa's threat to never enter U.S. air space and its territorial lands because he was asked for his credentials for security checks in Miami, on his way to lie a lot about the USA before OPEC in Saudi Arabia, read it here, Correa's fabulous team of operatives filed demands for respect from the U.S. ambassador Jewell. HOY reports that Jewell 'laments" and "apologizes" over the proper use of U.S. anti-terror law in Miami which caused Correa to promise to never re enter the USA again. We can only hold Jewell responsible for her inexplicable refusal to stand on principle to uphold U.S. laws and comply with U.S safety regulations and laws. Jewell appears so threatened- so manipulated- by Correa's threats to expose himself as the manipulative anti USA communist and criminal that he is, that she surrenders to his "charms"- also called adolescent manipulations and threats.
As with all manipulative adolescents, it is far more expedient to support common sense and definable rules, especially for airport safety, a detail that Correa childishly wants to ignore because he is "special." Correa is not special and he is not an adult, however much he may be an expert at manipulative behaviors...which should never be rewarded. Jewell claims that no one from Correa's team even alerted the U.S. embassy in Quito as to his "special" travel status. Her apology and bow to his tirades- called rewarding the manipulator- is all the more irresponsible. Correa knew that he was setting up a staged public accusation against what he calls the "evil empire"- the USA. Why the U.S. ambassador enables this manipulative teen ager to continue successfully to destroy U.S.-Ecuadorean relations, which can only exist on formal policies of mutual respect, is anathema to us. Manipulative people are essentially disrespectful to all and are essentially never honest: they are too busy manipulating the next game. An intervention of adult truth tellers is badly needed in Ecuador.
One such truth teller is Alvaro Uribe who commendably set a limit on Correa and Chavez's manipulative ruse of using the lives of hostages held by their money making pals called the FARC. Uribe informed Chavez that the game is up on December 30, 2007 and that no further gamesmanship- manipulative behavior- will be tolerated. For his part, Chavez promises "proof" that hostages held by the FARC are alive and does not promise any release or corrective behaviors. Far from it: Chavez does a perp walk with the FARC leaders and calls them his brothers in arms. Indeed they are. Nancy Pelosi calls them welcome in her U.S. congressional offices. We call them needing their Miranda rights and arrest. We are positive that Uribe will suffer the hew and cry of the manipulatives for daring to be a principled adult in this Andean kindergarten of the goofy when he deserves immediate approval by the U.S Congress for an appropriate FTA trade agreement. But we are grateful that someone- anyone- steps up with principles as Uribe has just done and sets sound policies for the whiney, screeching bambinos, sometimes called the Andean axis of adolescents who do now cause murder, crime and mayhem at the largest levels ever in the history of the Andes. If more acted on adult principles like Uribe, there would be no Chavez and no Correa: responsible adult governance could flourish and replace government of the manipulative and for the manipulated, also called tyranny under dictatorships.
Do you know why so many admire and support Uribe?
