February 10, 2008        There he goes again: telling more lies. Rafael Correa, as president of Ecuador is simply a menace and is actively lying to Ecuadoreans who should have the usefulness to insist that their own president be factual but to date, they are so thrilled that all of Ecuador can play the game of manipulation- its national addiction- that none stand up to the foolishness of this singular menace. Indeed, the Ecuadorean addiction to living manipulatively has landed them inside a new game...called MONOPOLY. And that monopoly is held at the point of a gun by one man named Correa, a man who inherited a criminal mindset anyway and has remained an apologist for narcoterrorists, who has applied every tactic known to criminals throughout the ages to secure his statist monopolizations, sometimes called communism, which includes heavy propaganda programs, deception, state theft also called illicit caducidad, rejection of free media, open speech, independent courts, legislation and government. What you have in Ecuador is one man running the show his way through his Venezuelan and Cuban minders and it is past objectionable: it is the new, disgusting communism in the Andes.
 
Correa is not a functioning economist. He is a man who has made a career out of trying to justify his very narrow Marxist-Cuban political views by applying political activities which he claims are based in sound economics and are not. Just yesterday, Correa told us all that consumer price controls, i.e. communism, will control inflation. This is simply not true. Correa calls this "antitrust" laws to control pricing of goods by the state and for the state which he claims will stop inflation.
 
Correa, who despises the use of the U.S. dollar in his dollarized economy, has failed once again to be honest about the benefits of dollarization which not only saves Ecuadoreans the cost of printing lots of funny money but also curbs inflation, which if Ecuador were not dollarized would be well in to the double if not triple digits. Ecuador's policies under Correa are inflationary and ruinous- far more so than Chavez's stubborn inflation rates in Venezuela. Thus Ecuador synthetically masks its run away inflation by deception. Remove dollarization and Ecuador will be more readily seen for what it is: a badly mismanaged nation under one incompetent and badly educated authoritarian named Rafael Correa who has not got a clue how to lead Ecuador and has abandoned his post to the tender mercies of his in-house Cuban and Venezuelan boy guides from the intelligence world of evil-doers, running Ecuador today.
 
Today BLOOMBERG's -read it here- reports that, the Correa”administration will submit an antitrust bill soon, which will give the government the means to fight price gouging, Correa said. The government also has reacted to rising inflation by capping milk prices and has pledged to extend cost controls to other basic foods."
 
This is standard socialism-communism which never works. Correa, like Chavez, has installed what is better known as economic fascism which permits only the slightest veneer of commercial freedom while the state itself actually overlords all facets of commercial enterprise and functionally restricts growth and opportunity.
 
Functionally, Correa is no economist and he is not Ecuador's president any longer. He is however cynical, deceptive and dishonest. In fact, he has not got a clue what to do to boost Ecuador and really could care less. But he does co opt the entire nation and is the mouth organ in full for a well planned effrontery to convert Ecuador in to a sub set of Cuban-Marxist unfree and morally debauched actors in sync with Chavez's depravities and commercial monopolism.
 
While Venezuelans have the moral obligation to cease their own profiteering from loony leaders like Correa, the sweeping state controls over everything benefits some from the inner circle called the politburo. State kleptocracy is active in Ecuador as is state theft and total state controls. Inflation is not Ecuador's primary problem at all. Its totalitarian regime is the problem and the market reacts- slowly at first- to the removal of economic freedoms and the insertion of the Cuban style Marxist statehood underway.
 
Some of the road map guideposts are already apparent: Correa's Ecuador is the murder capitol of the globe. This of course means that law and order is not functioning in his lawless nation. Another blaring fact- not to be missed- is found in the BLOOMBERG's piece: "His administration will submit an antitrust bill soon, which will give the government the means to fight price gouging, Correa said."
 
Correa says he will submit an "antitrust bill" soon. We ask correctly:  to whom? The Congress of Ecuador? They do not exist any longer. Only Correa exists to install new laws and legislate in this land run by a dictator. Does this mean new laws sent over to the rabble at Montecristi which has no legal authority to consider or pass new laws and where, by hand picked pre selection tactics- sometimes called vibrant democracy by Insulza of the OAS- has a collective IQ of 14 and the legislative skills of a dead dog and utterly no competence or legal authority to pass whole cloth anything? Most barely read or write and few even know how to perform fact based research which is of course missing in the hallowed halls of Ciudad de Alfaro, once called Montecristi. No real media is allowed inside these halls of communism except TELESUR and Castro's GRANMA. Regular media is kept out and only gets prepared snippets which the state propaganda machine wants the public to have and hold.
 
Following the question: how does a Bill become a Law in Ecuador shows the real story of the dictatorship. Determinedly avoiding transparent separation of powers and public debate, with free speech and open media banned now in Ecuador, Correa simply hands over his language- sort of- to the Assembly in Montecristi. It is a foregone conclusion that these patsies/stoolies/overpaid idiots will rubber stamp anything and everything even though they have no legal capacity to perform such tasks. Ecuadoreans permit these kangaroos to jump when Correa tells them to jump.
 
And right of redress is gone too- along with free speech, open media and elected representation. The people of Ecuador elected a Congress to pass laws. Correa removed their legal legislators- at the point of a gun- and inserted his own kangaroos in Montecristi- far from the stated capitol and where Correa could warehouse his sweeping fools of ruin.
 
Were any Ecuadorean to seek redress through their courts or legal protections through their courts, they would simply be either rebuffed or denied because all courts now are no longer separate or independent from Correa. All justice reports to Correa's whims and mandates. No Ecuadorean has any legal protection under any law from the overarching state controls and no place to go.
 
Most Ecuadoreans agree with the Quito Chamber of Commerce that if one simply pays Correa his protection fees, called political acquiescence in public, that Correa's goon squads will protect them and leave them alone. Extortion rackets of and by a government are not only disgusting and illegal but essentially denies freedom for all and establishes, as is the case in Venezuela and Ecuador, a systematic series of fearful statist co option of essential freedom. None are ever free and all fear the Black Hand of the state.
 
The so called group of business leaders who met with Correa the other day simply sold out their nation in exchange for Correa's tender protections of his utterly corrupted Chavez- backed state. For this, the business leaders promised to lie a lot to the United State Congress, vowing to report that all is a paradise in Ecuador when the fact is that Ecuador is a paradise all right... a Castro-Cuban-Chavez paradise where nothing works, crime runs the show and dishonesty is rewarded by the state to cover up the rampant criminality in this place where democracy died last year- at the point of a gun.
 
Correa has crafted his own state kleptocracy with a subset of extortion rackets to guide once active commercial sectors into submission.

Because no one from Ecuador stands to tell the truth, thus far it is working as a plan to subdue and pervert this nation as a new communist state where dishonesty is rewarded and integrity is banished. There is nothing to be proud of in Ecuador today as the global community rejects their profoundly shocking panoply of lies and phony efforts to justify Correa's liberty-killing communism in Ecuador.
 
Today, the LONDON TIMES -read it here- finally gets around to reporting what we all knew: the Chavez and Correa elections were always about the false face of fake democracy and the phony mismanagement by so called NGOs, mostly commandeered by the pro Left Soros groups, and even overlords of the European Union (EU) missions which have not been independent for many years due to the overmanagement of the NGOs who oversee and co opt the Observer Missions to guarantee a particularly neo communist outcome. Outing leftist NGOs who commandeer the supposedly independent vacationers called election observers from around the globe appears to be a financially rewarding cottage industry for the contractors at the UK's UN-backed ERIS and "Peaceworkers".

In Greek mythology, the goddess Eris brought dishonesty and instability. The daughter of ERIS brought lawlessness and anarchy. A more fitting description of these election observer frauds may not be known. The ERIS democracy and election web site references the NEEDS Network as "The Network of Europeans for Electoral and Democracy Support (NEEDS) brings together some of the leading European organizations and individuals involved in the field of democratization and election observation. The aim of NEEDS is to increase the capacity of both the European Union and civil society organizations to conduct credible and effective election observation missions." Obviously they have failed.
 
No one but the most obviously entangled cover up artist today actually believes that any election in Venezuela since 2002 has been free and fair.

The same can be said about Ecuador which only narrowly dodged an obvious bullet and barely rejected a massive purchase of the SMARTMATIC voting machines, sold more recently under "new" names and as offered under Brazilian salesmen, full financial loans under some bizarre OAS scheme to help sell Chavez's own Smartmatics, advertised as they were- alongside the Soros NGOs- on official OAS pages. We remind that these Smartmatics, instruments of deception and election rigging, started out as backed financially by British hedge funds using a garage in an older man's home in Florida as a fake storefront. As the USA knows, a quiet cease and desist order was agreed to in the USA by Smartmatic which is no longer permitted to sell in the USA for its rampant product faults. But Venezuelans can and must deny their presence or forever be known as a nation with fake elections. Free and fair democracy does not exist today in Venezuela or Ecuador and any one who says differently is a liar, a ninnyhammer, a dimwit and a dunce. It is past time to cease covering up these criminal adventures.
 
We recall too well that the 12-2- 07 elections in Venezuela were not observed by the OAS and the EU or anyone else for that matter except the subcontracted Soros-aligned groups, running the NGO world across Latin America- which means running most monies for anything having to do with their failed law and order and failed democracy efforts- and as such, no real observation transpired at all in these two Andean nations for years.
 
On the 2007 Ecuadorean elections for the Assembly members, the intrepid EU observer finally turns states' evidence in the LONDON TIMES and states the facts about Correa's elections: "The elections have been a farce, with voters having to choose between 624 candidates from 26 parties on a ballot paper the size of an Ordnance Survey map. It’s something the EU mission statement comments on but fails to properly condemn, for it looks to have been a strategy on the part of President Rafael Correa, Ecuador’s Chavez-lite, to bamboozle the population." What is it about the word FRAUD that you do not understand? And what is it about the lack of condemnation for election fraud that you do not protest?
 
Gosh- do ya' think there was fraud? Any but the most brain dead communist sympathizer could see that Correa's electioneering and vote rigging approach was neither free nor fair. But the USA and the EU, taking their cue from their utterly dishonest pro Chavez Soros-laced contractors failed their mission, failed Ecuador and failed themselves to be honest about the whole thing. Ecuadoreans, like slimy lemmings, crawled off the cliff. And have remained in a state of national suicide ever since. As to the $2.5 million wasted on the fraudulent and mostly dishonest EU Observer team at Correa's  2007 election, the EU chief of observers is objectionably stupid and tragically biased with no apparent taste in men:  "...our head of mission, had summed up her meeting with Chavez: “He’s super-sexy.”
 
In Ecuador, for too long honest analysis has been on a serious vacation. With active agents such as Valeria Merino, who has for too long lied about her non work for Transparency International, lied about her work to remove the last vestige of rule of law in Ecuador [under a US GAO mobis contract to cover up US AID's contract fraud and theft of monies in Ecuador] and lied about the Correa elections for these various US AID and Soros groups. We simply do not understand their inbred sway over the OAS and the U.S. Democratic Party, sometimes called USD AID.
 
Hugo Chavez is not "super sexy." And even if he were- which he is not- this remains no reason to pretend that fake elections are legitimate. Like Correa, Chavez is a disgusting megalomaniac with long lists of psychoses and is quite dysfunctional. Chavez is unfit to lead the sanitation workers union and needs to remove himself to the confines of Zimbabwe, where he might be welcome. Rafael Correa, for his part, remains a true believer- more so that Chavez- that Castro's Cuba is the paradise on earth for him. We hope he takes his fake democracy and his fake economics theories, called Marxism, and enjoys a long life in Castro's hell hole called Cuba. Correa is not legitimate and he is not an effective president for the good of anything except Chavez's Cuba and his own wallet, also called FARC money laundering and drugs trans shipments, previously known as the Ecuadorean military and Chavez's preferred transport monopoly called Trafigura.
 
What, we wonder, will it take to remove the "DO NOT DISTURB" sign off the doors at the U.S. Embassy in Quito, the U.S. Department of State, the EU team of clubby sycophants in Belgium, and the global community who continually bless this neo communist corruption in the Andes because "Chavez is super sexy" which is of course itself a lie. Neatly coalescing with the multi-billion political campaign to gin up hatred for rule of law, sometimes called the "evil empire," has noticeably afflicted whole stratus of limousine liberals and lazy, undereducated voters, easily preyed upon by the propaganda and tactics of fearfulness, sometimes called "herd mentality."  As we have noted before, governments such as Ecuador and Venezuela which run like murky unaccountable offshore derivatives traders- where nothing is real, nothing is transparent or accountable- may be beneficial for the murky Russian-mob linked money movers called neo communist hedge funds under economic fascists to impose criminal rackets but they are not good for honesty, are not good for democracy, are not good for security, and are certainly not good for women and children. And they are not sexy. They are actively engaged in the politics of hatred to craft failed states based on foundations where honor does not exist. When so called reformist NGOs for democracy, development and governments are run in partnership with the same offshore derivatives traders to tell us that all is well/that Chavez is sexy, everyone should smell the fix. The fix has been rigged in the Andes for some time now and its ruinous effects are with us.
 
 
And in a well timed and coordinated effort, Ecuadorean ambassador to the USA Gallegos played his hand before the U.S. government to fulfill the propaganda/lobbying entreaties of the Correa regime under Paul Reichler and the U.S. Democrats' own Fenton Communications, itself a veritable agent to assist in Soros's multi billion dollar hate USA campaign, working also with pro Castro and pro Chavez actors and officials. It is no surprise then that the "secret" meeting between U.S. Senate Majority Leader Reid and Blasco Peñaherrera was occurring just as Iran was opening its take-over offices across Ecuador to further "help" the Bolivarian "poor" in their fascist state gone wilding.  Reid and Blasco essentially agreed to sell out democracy some more and reward the criminal governments of Ecuador and Venezuela, formally partnered now with the illegal regime called Iran, because the do drugs Soros cabals seek to squeeze and create destabilizing harm against law and order advocates such as Uribe of Colombia and the generic population of Peru. Ignoring these facts and willfully lying about the "secret agreement" to assist Correa and Chavez complete with the vow that Reid would deliver the entire, necessary votes for the Correa team's ATPDEA extension as long as no one says a word about the facts demands a full investigation by Senate Ethics and the people of Ecuador, especially the Chambers of Commerce who just saw their love for economic freedom sold out again.

    "...While the Middle East incident was a serious encounter that is likely to repeat itself, just last week in the Western Hemisphere Iranian adventurism generated little if any headlines with mainstream U.S. or international media outlets.   The week before last, Iranian officials began to arrive in yet another regional capital city to open another so-called trade mission.  The opening of the Quito, Ecuador Iran trade office was formally announced by President Rafael Correa last month but its presence was well known for weeks ahead of time by business and government officials since it appears that the opening of the office was negotiated during the Iranian leader’s last visit to the region in 2007.

    In various discussions that I’ve had with leading Ecuadorian business leaders and former government officials, concern is growing about the presence of the Iranians in Ecuador.   It is not as if there is any cultural or even religious affinity with Iran.  Ecuador is overwhelmingly Roman-Catholic.  Even the business links makes little if any sense as a more logical trading partner one just need look north to the U.S. or to partners in the region.  “Nothing good can come of this arrangement,” advised a former minister.  “Just look at Monkey Point and Managua in Nicaragua and you’ll understand what it is that the Iranians want, a position to make trouble for the U.S. and its allies,”  he added...."

We at ECrisis say: good question: what are we going to do about all this? And who will push for the facts? Do not look for the pro Soros Harry Reid, pro Chavez Chris Dodd, and the Obama cult as funded by Soros to question any Soros effort even as the capacity for democracy's tools are blind sided by Harry Reid and his Democrats.
