Pay Pals of Soros's Barack Obama Take Center Court in Ecuador's Specious Claims: Undermine Foreign Policy and Rule of Law

April 10, 2008    ECrisis has recently reported our growing concern of massive behind the scenes tampering with justice for political gains by Ecuador's Rafael Correa and his Hugo Chavez allied legal team. We have also noted with alarm the current enjoinder by Rafael Correa of the state of Ecuador in a specious plaintiffs case before a sole Muslim judge in a one room shack in the Ecuadorean  jungle to adjudicate a $12 to 60 billion claim, based on no independent science, medical verification or forensic audits that the money that PetroEcuador stole from the people of Ecuador, also called the tens of millions paid as a gift by Texaco in 1995, is just another day at robbing the bank and that Ecuador will continue to lie, steal and cheat its way to self serving enrichment...for Correa's politburo while blaming everyone else. The government of Ecuador is today nothing more than an extortion racket for thugs, bolstered as it is by numerous political alliances that are urgently helping Ecuador stay on as a narcostate.

Today's CHRISTIAN SCIENCE MONITOR, read it here, breaks the story that this fake case of fake plaintiffs against Chevron has applied its new legal team to "lobby" the U.S. Democrats, namely law school chum and basketball court pal Barack Hussein Obama and ready and willing to commandeer all US AID funds Pat Leahy to insist that the ATPDEA extension must never address the facts of life about Ecuador in order to give political preference by these friends of false legal claims a real boost. The article reveals, "In February, Sens. Barack Obama (D) of Illinois and Patrick Leahy (D) of Vermont sent a letter to US Trade Representative Rob Portman urging him to ignore an apparent campaign by Chevron to exclude Ecuador from trade negotiations until the Ecuadorean government shuts down the lawsuit. `While we are not prejudging the outcome of the case, we do believe the 30,000 indigenous residents of Ecuador deserve their day in court,' the senators wrote." In this, as in life, one can clearly notate the illegal political pressure from these know nothing U.S. Senators to remove the facts about Ecuador in order to give political interference to a massive judicial matter. Of course Chevron today is overwhelmed by its own love fest for all things Obama and all things dishonest about Hugo Chavez so we cannot be sure that their own tactics are not ironically backfiring on them and has not yet caused some dyspepsia. Perhaps $12 to $60 billion in losses will wake up their shareholders that Chevron has been playing dirty for too long with the very souls who seek to cause them harm. Of course Chevron's political tactics to save itself have created a barrier wall against many many other lesser known companies who needed truth telling but, thanks to the U.S. Democratic leadership and their cozy legal teams, justice is jiggered to aid and abet the Chavez-Correa communist corridor by denying the facts.

Regarding Obama and Leahy's Public Letter to the USTR in the USA [not previously released but should have been], Obama and Leahy note that they do not want to interfere with judicial proceedings in Ecuador by insisting that Correa's government be handed a no-review ATPDEA trade extension, with no cost benefit analysis and no forensic audit of the rampant criminality involved in the wild eyed claims by Ecuador in this and many other specious legal claims sent out like bad faith bombs, littering the global courts. With a certainty Leahy and Obama did truly interfere with justice on behalf of the specious plaintiffs not just in the Chevron clean up case but for all other plaintiffs and truth seekers who keep looking for the facts about Ecuador only to face the brownout of information by the U.S. government to aid and enable particular friends of the Correa-Chavez communist bloc such as Paul Reichler, the Soros-backed CIP, Crisis Group and WOLA NGO groups and the jungle clean up lawyer pal Steven Donziger of Obama's. This is tampering with justice and is indeed political interference with an independent legal matter, no matter what Leahy and Obama say to the contrary. And this must stop. Indeed, they should either be silenced by the U.S. Senate on ethics violations or be removed from their seats.

Recently, BLOOMBERG's reported, “Meanwhile, Ecuador's defense budget is up 190 percent since 2000, according to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, known as SIPRI. President Rafael Correa backed this year's 19 percent increase in Ecuador's defense budget, to $920 million, to help boost salaries while shifting forces to the country's northern border with Colombia. “And Rafael Correa wants you to know how much he believes the military of Ecuador is only useful insofar as he can use them for propaganda to boost his criminal cartel governing plan: he recently fired many of his top brass and installed as Minister of Defense one Sr. Javier Ponce, Correa's own personal propagandist, also called his personal journalist. It is like placing Heinrich Himmler or Tokyo Rose as head of Defense. The U.S. Embassy in Quito claims they are SHOCKED! Surprised! that Correa would accuse the USA of infiltrating the armed forces of Ecuador because, they claim, Correa gave them no advance notice of his claims nor informed them of his anger. We remind that Correa has no respect for that Embassy team, and has played them for fools for too long. This is proof positive that Correa has no respect for anything but his ramped up drive to deceive and swindle not just the Americans [whom he has essentially eradicated except the useful idiots also called US AID backed pro Chavez and pro drugs contractors running all over Quito now] but also anyone decent at all in Ecuador's military or government. Ponce calls this "healthy."

That is to say- Correa claims to boost pay outs to military commands of almost a billion dollars. Problem is: no one- nothing at all- is accountable in this lawless land and not one government of Ecuador statement is plausible or accountable. To be sure, Rafael Correa as president keeps throwing more money at the military to keep them on his side. This has succeeded. He has also handed the military the gift of state owned PetroEcuador as its new face of management. This means that the military owns and operates a vast swath of Ecuador's infrastructure businesses for unaccountable money making which it shares with the Correa regime. Of course no one knows all that the military does to make money but everyone knows that the military is self enriching and oh by the way- not doing a very good job of anything- except taking bribes from Correa, following Correa's explicit orders to say nothing about their cozy extortion racket and to deliver sub level services and products for Ecuador. And let us not forget that Correa is boosting Ecuador's defense spending by almost 200% over recent years for no purpose at all. Ecuador has no need of such defense expenditures- none whatsoever in a region where it is surrounded by friendly allies like Peru and Colombia, never mind their fake war of attrition against their neighbors.

But Rafael Correa, following Hugo Chavez in lock step as he always does, wants us to believe the lie that these pro FARC nations are fighting hard against narcoterrorism, when the data shows that they are anything but serious about crime fighting. While Ecuador remains the murder capitol of the globe, you can bet that it remains a drug promoting zone, as is Venezuela. Nothing could be more obvious.

The WASHINGTON POST's Juan Forero wrote on 4-7-08 of his personal sympathy that Hugo Chavez is trying to fight against drugs and crime but that the USA's military bar for additional weapons is hurting Chavez's war against drugs. This article, which is so tawdry, will not be reprinted here for its ridiculous yellow journalism. But the author did correctly quote the Director of the U.S. Office of National Drug Control Policy's John Walters, " `If you want to see what makes a consequential difference, you look at what's been going on in Colombia -- real arrests, going after traffickers, infrastructure, really seizing,' Walters said by telephone from Washington. `Going after the transnational elements of the trade. I have yet to see that kind of transformation on the part of the Venezuelans.' The United States estimates that up to 250 tons of cocaine -- more than a third of what Colombia produced -- passed through Venezuela last year, more than double the amount trafficked in the 1990s." John Walters is right on target and cuts through the morass of excuses, propaganda, disinformation and bull hooey that is the hallmark of the Chavez-Correa defense of crime campaign.

In other words, Correa and Chavez seem to enjoy lying a lot to the world, in particular Washington, DC about their efforts to fight crime and the drug trade but the reality is seen clearly in both nations' unending welcome mat to criminal cartels of all stripes, most noticeably their protection rackets, visibly seen in their overwhelming state support- also called sponsorship- of the FARC. Neither Ecuador nor Venezuela do much of anything meaningful at all about the FARC while enjoying their dirty money and increasing societal decay. But Ecuador and Venezuela have a plan to stop this messy problem: it is called their bi national propaganda war which both Chavez and Correa have publicly announced to protect and advance both nations in their unending demands that they can lie better, steal better and murder better than anyone else on the planet. Looks like they are proving their point. But they also are spending lots of state money to tell the USA that theirs is a peaceful, stable region where both nations fight hard against drugs. Then you get Correa telling us that it was never his problem to begin with: he inherited from Lucio Gutierrez a preternaturally active FARC inside Ecuador. To be sure, Lucio played footsie with the FARC and Chavez about half his time as president when he was not busy chasing skirts.

Like Fujimori and his real director Vladimir Montesinos, such a bi furcated position regarding crime and punishment never satisfies and always leads to worsening scenarios. History is replete with details as to why enabling and stubborn manipulation of law and order only deteriorates society. It is a self fulfilling prophecy as to why manipulative behaviors never ever work. But Correa and Chavez are such remarkable sociopaths that they will not grasp this concept and plunge ahead to tell us all that the FARC's materials from Raul Reyes's computers are not real and must be dealt with politically by the OAS where they know that Insulza, one of them, will never once bother with pesky problems like accountability, the truth, or forensics. He has held to his refusal to admit forensic facts to date and thus far, Insulza is keeping his vow to help convert the entire Andes to a raging narcozone. Insulza will swear before the U.S. Congress on April 10, 2008 that he is a friend to the USA and is fighting hard for truth and accountability in the Andes when nothing could be further from the truth. Insulza cannot handle the facts and satisfy his own liege lord, George Soros and the pro drugs wing of the U.S. Democrats, whom he represents because he believes this will elect him as Chile's next Chavista president, a title to which he aspires and deserves not. In fact, he deserves to be booted from the OAS for lying far too many times to the USA and all member states.

We understand that Chavez and Correa rely on their mouth organs Insulza, Congressman Engle, Michael Shifter and Julia Sweig to help them pull off a re run of the Bill Clinton defense strategy to save himself from what he was addicted to doing: lying a lot about his sexual afflictions with lots of young women and cigars.

At the heart of the Clinton defense from criminal liability was his remarkably dishonest strategy to apply a "political solution" that he was too popular to fail or fall or be beholden to normative law and order and that to bring him, Bill Clinton, down would cost job loss and instability- to his paid political minions who serve the party faithful like a family mafia. Correa and Chavez are applying the same strategy today about their real time crime as exposed in the 3-1-08 seizure of the Reyes confirmation of crime materials.

Listen some more to Chavez and Correa tell us, "I did not have relations with the FARC"- sounding like Bill telling the world `I did not have relations with that woman' when the obvious signs of their relationships were completely known to one and all. Meanwhile, the wife said she had no idea and was shocked. This Hillary as victim of the facts role was recently played by Chavez's own Congressman Engle who, along with Tom Shannon from US State Department, stated that they had no idea that Correa and Chavez were so actively in bed....with the FARC criminals. Of course Hillary knew who Bill was in bed with and of course Shannon and Engle knew who Chavez and Correa are in bed with or else they are completely incompetent which means of course their staffs are not telling their employers the truth. Make no mistake about it: the US DEA, the US FBI and Treasury's Financial Crimes Unit of the USA have been stating the facts about Correa and Chavez for some time now. Theirs may be inconvenient truths to the Soros-Chavez-Correa propaganda machine, in full tilt these days, but sometimes the facts are unavoidable, especially as murder rates remain the highest in the world in Ecuador where lawlessness and ennui reign.

Bill Clinton's plan to defend his right to have sex with cigars and young girls while lying under oath was a nasty bit of mankind's deteriorated behavior. Rafael Correa and Hugo Chavez have bought in to the same defense team and rampantly deny their own pathetic criminality.

Here is what happens when too many people take money to support items that they know are not beneficial for the common good:

The Wall Street Journal

The New Liberal Taboo
April 8, 2008; Page A20         Wall Street Journal

"What a spectacle. It is now respectable for Democrats to assert, even to welcome, military defeat (see here). But if a Presidential campaign functionary so much as hints at support for free trade, he's banished to policy exile.

That's the meaning of Sunday's sacking of strategist Mark Penn from Hillary Clinton's campaign. In his noncampaign job with a PR firm, Mr. Penn had met with Colombia's ambassador to the U.S. to discuss the free trade agreement that President Bush sent to Congress yesterday. When word of that meeting leaked to a Wall Street Journal reporter last week, big labor went bonkers and Mrs. Clinton gave him the heave-ho despite more than a decade of loyal service. Maybe if Mr. Penn had called General David Petraeus a con man, he'd still have a job.

Mr. Penn's dismissal follows the previous humiliation of Barack Obama's economics adviser, Austan Goolsbee, for telling Canadian diplomats that Mr. Obama's anti-Nafta talk was merely campaign jive. Mr. Goolsbee has since all but entered the witness protection program. The grownups in both campaigns realize that free trade is good for the country, yet they must take a vow of public silence.

As recently as the 1990s, Bill Clinton's support for free trade was seen as a sign of his economic centrism and that he understood global competitive realities. In the 2008 campaign, free trade has become the primary Democratic taboo."

Word today is that Pelosi and her gang of anti Colombia staff personnel will let the Fast Track presented Colombia FTA sit, with no Congressional action, until the wee small hours right before the close of their summer session. That is- just barely under the legal limits of Bush's Fast Track presentation while trying to jigger U.S. House rules to deny the vote in any case. Speaker Pelosi has stated that she will alter U.S. House Rules in a very bad precedent to block the 90 day rule on a vote. This is a bad precedent and a very dirty tactic. Pelosi herself noted that this was kind of/sort of jiggering U.S. House rules... "not really a rule change; it’s sort of in keeping with the rules of the House." Kind of? Sort of? A law- or a rule- is not kind of jiggered or bent or broken: it is either bent or broken. Pelosi is deeply connected to the anti Uribe factions of the Soros team, her own counsel being one of them. The U.S. Democrats must be feeling the pinch of their donor in main to carry forward with gay abandon such reckless and illegal jiggering of the U.S. Congress to create havoc against a highly principled position to stop narcoblocs underway in the Andes. The stakes are high and this increasingly looks like Soros versus Uribe or good, honest governance versus dirty, lying manipulative rackets.

Having done absolutely nothing but a string of visits to Medellin in Colombia, while pretending to support free trade, the State Department of the USA assiduously crafted harm to President Uribe for years by implanting anti USA contractors and activists to stand against the principled positions of Colombia. These same overpaid functionaries pressured Uribe in to paying lots of money for representatives of Colombia who did nothing to help his accusers and actually conspired with those who caused him harm. And then, in an  effort to appear as if they are actually helping, these same knuckleheads are now pressuring the U.S. government to abandon even more financial responsibility and award even more billions to even more chuckleheaded labor union and "human rights" - i.e.- pro FARC activists in the Andes. This then is the Pelosi deal on the Colombian Free Trade: a ham handed string of lies and false efforts to force open even more U.S. socialism. The U.S. embassy team staffers in Bogota and across the region call this a great idea. We call it money for nothing and increased neo socialism.
Nancy Pelosi says she does this out of respect for Colombians. There is no respect for the honest, hard working Colombians in what she is doing. There is only respect for the political "solution" to craft a regional narcozone in the Andes. This is not respect, it is not lawful and it is treason. Pelosi also tells us that this is to respect American families. She does not state how many billions she seeks to buy this respect.

Showing respect to the FARC and its paid doxxies and molls is what Nancy Pelosi has been doing the last two years, preferring to treat Alvaro Uribe as an unwelcome even as she welcomes Piedad Cordoba- doxxy for the FARC. Here she is, with her FARC pals [barely recognizable without her $400 HERMES scarf turbans for that soignée jungle look], no doubt not long before more visits to her friends at the Inter American Dialogue, US AID and Nancy Pelosi's chambers:

Today, Rafael Correa wears the same mark of the marked and the worst part of the lies swirling about Colombia- he is little better than a propagandist for the FARC and Hugo Chavez: certainly his own paid lobbyists are in lock step. He is actively engaged in lying about economic freedom, also called capitalism and selling all Ecuadoreans on the expensive and debilitating job loss program called Correa's neo Marxist plan to make you poorer and his own cartel richer.

Look for Rafael Correa to see Ecuador deemed a State Haven for Terrorists- at best. Correa's brand of governing is not respectable; it helps none but his inner group and is dishonest. It will get Correa in to trouble. He is already fully in port with Chavez, the FARC, Cuba, and Iran.

On April 4, 2008, EL UNIVERSAL of Caracas reported, "Venezuela to buy nine Russian submarines

Venezuela is buying nine submarines from Russia, and President Hugo Chávez is likely to travel to Moscow next May to sign an agreement for delivery of the first three units, said Russian weapons industry sources, as quoted by news agency Interfax. The purchase of the diesel-electric 636-model Varshavyanka-class submarines is viewed as a Venezuelan government's move to avoid US trade sanctions. The contract is valued at USD 1 billion. Russian news media reported on Friday that this transaction could further tense relation between Moscow and Washington. Chávez, an open critic of the US policies, announced last year in Moscow that he was going to extend military cooperation with Russia, reported DPA."

We continue to ask if there is any truth to the rumor that Correa will allow Chavez use of the Manta port for his "move to avoid U.S. trade sanctions" - a specious lie if there was ever one. Looking for Correa's rabid group of propagandists to inform.

And we also ask when Ecuadoreans will wake up and realize that Rafael Correa is too expensive for Ecuador? His goofy and criminal authoritarianism is costing Ecuadoreans a lot of money. It is true that many care nothing about being seen for what they are: silly, undereducated vacuous manipulators running around in circles but the hits to wallets just keep on coming. Here is GOLDMAN SACHS Emerging Market Report of 4-9-08 on Ecuador, "The recurrent changes to the regulatory framework allied with significant legal insecurity continues to impair the prospects for investment in the oil sector." That means....the more manipulative one is, the more it is that trust and confidence and stability is replaced by the hollow emptiness of false arrangements. While Correa and most Ecuadoreans apparently believe that legal insecurity- and many other insecurities- also called 'la nerviosa'- is an addiction worth having, real money and investment are destroyed by such childish and ridiculously incompetent leadership schemes.

More importantly, this from today's BABALU Blog which is about Chavez, but it might as well be about Rafael Correa:

“I hate to say we told you so... but we told you so.

Chavez steel takeover shows socialist ideology king

CARACAS, April 9 (Reuters) - For socialist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, ideology is king.
His decision on Wednesday to nationalize the OPEC nation's largest steelmaker shows even friends are not exempt from his crusade to control the economy because it targets a top company from Argentina despite the leftist ally's pleas.

It appears the monkey who would be king is on quite a nationalizing roll these past few days. But I can't say I am not surprised; like his mentor, Castro, and all despots for that matter, they will steal whatever is not given to them.

I certainly feel remorse for our Venezuelan brothers and sisters. I can only hope they act soon because before they know it, five decades will pass and they will still be wondering just how long can one despotic, murderous, unlawful, oppressive regime last.

Take it from us; a long, long, time."

And take it from us....it will be a long time- a very very long time- before Ecuadoreans realize that descending in to the hole of corruption will get them nowhere at all. But today Ecuadoreans are cheered that their paid propagandists are selling the world fake law suits and fake asset seizures, also called state thefts. And they have some very good thugs on their payroll with the entire Pelosi-Reid-Obama-Leahy-Dodd- Delahunt team from the Soros branch of the U.S. Congress working for them in order to create a more perfect narcozone in the Andes by refusing any forensic analysis of anything relevant about the worst scam in decades: the current Chavez-Correa cartels.

Today's WALL STREET JOURNAL reports on "Pelosi's Bad Faith-

The Democratic Party's protectionist make-over was completed yesterday, when Nancy Pelosi decided to kill the Colombia free trade agreement. Her objections had nothing to do with the evidence and everything to do with politics, but this was an act of particular bad faith. It will damage the economic and security interests of the U.S. while trashing our best ally in Latin America.

The Colombia trade pact was signed in 2006 and renegotiated last year to accommodate Democratic demands for tougher labor and environmental standards. Even after more than 250 consultations with Democrats, and further concessions, including promises to spend more on domestic unemployment insurance, the deal remained stalled in Congress. Apparently the problem was that Democrats kept getting their way."

Ecuadoreans know well the price of irresponsibly enabling false evidence, political foolishness and manipulative agendas to override law and order, government, domestic life and education. It is the way of all badly educated selfish adolescents, none better than Correa. And this always gets them in to trouble sooner or later, most becoming active sociopaths along the way, as has Correa. There is no better metaphor for Ecuadoreans today than the deceptive plan for taking over the Andes. Be afraid - be very afraid. And then look in the mirror. Bad faith and deceptive manipulative living is repulsive and destroys families, schools and nations.

Just this past December, we were all informed by the always brilliant chattering class that Hugo Chavez was defeated in his national vote and that he would moderate. Once again, we remind that Chavez may be crafty and like a snake but he is not reformed and never will unless he seeks true assistance in rehab and that is unlikely given his current cadre of money making pals who keep him in power for their own self enrichment, as is the case in Ecuador. But racketeer in main Chavez instead of lessening his grip has recently upped his caducidad and started once again stealing other people's businesses to self enrich his own cartels and monopolies.

Today in Bolivia, Chavez and Castro beaver onward with Evo Morales. The citizens of Bolivia are forced to carry National ID cards. Members of the Opposition are noted with the Star of David, a special branding by the always hating the Star of David Hugo Chavez and his Iranian business partners now flooding Bolivia and Ecuador. Already Correa has stated that his Hit List- his own private Watch List- will be run by him with the assistance of the Stasi-KGB-DISIP styled intelligence trainers all in the one person named Gustavo Larrea, also called "Juan" by the FARC in code, well trained as he was in Cuba and Venezuela, recently notated in the FARC files of 3-1-08.

This is a special branding- a new tattoo- by the Left to cause harm to normal persons and of course to freedom lovers. Living la vida manipulativa has given on and all la vida negativa.  Last week HOY ran excerpts from the HOY published series of interviews of late, none more telling than pages 52-54 wherein Cabinet member Larrea reveals his special skills for declaring treason charges against key truth tellers of Ecuador. We all know who and what he is talking about. Shockingly, none from any close family members or "friends" have done one thing to step out of their lazy, irresponsible lives to defend their own family members and friends from these false charges by Correa. That would be asking too much it seems to hope that for once in their lazy lives, someone- anyone- spoke truth to power in Quito and demand that these criminal and illegal Correa State Run Hit Lists and Jewish symbols to detail freedom lovers, now called hated and hunted, will end. Living la vida manipulativa is getting Ecuadoreans in to trouble- and worse- death. Human beings blame "the other" and expand their manipulative living traits when they are either lazy or selfish or both. What truths are you afraid of today? It looks as if Ecuadoreans are afraid to tell the truth- the truth that their relationships are false, their lives are hollow and empty and their goals as meaningless as ordering some poorly paid kitchen worker around. These are not life goals. Do you know what your goals are? One fine day you may wake up and find yourself targeted as an enemy of your state. Living la vida manipulativa and running away from the truth of your own empty, hollow life will not get you off that Hate List nor remove the Star of David from your state issued ID card. But you will get colder. The chill you know now will get much colder and there will be nothing to warm you now.

-Pedro Camargo for ECrisis
