Chavez and Correa Need to Go - We do Not Care How but they need to go NOW
May 18, 2008 We at ECrisis hope you are paying attention here. Mention the word "appeasers" to the Soros political juggernaut in the USA, and their attack machine to defend their political war of attrition comes out swinging hard and fast with a ferocious unity to bar any from looking directly in to their machine of enabling bad behaviors. Mention the words Criminal State Sponsors of Terror, for they are, about Hugo Chavez and Rafael Correa, and the same machine comes out swinging to bar any from looking directly at the facts. Of course Ecuadoreans and Venezuelans are so lazy that they refuse to even look at their own national disgrace- their twins of evil- as they support rape, kidnapping murder, money laundering, drug running and extortion rackets.
Indeed, even the U.S. Senate's Carl Meacham de facto enables the FARC written Plan Ecuador to help legalize in Ecuador a new FARC zone to aid and abet legitimizing that which should never be legitimized.
And so we ask again: What do we do Now as the Facts are on the Table that Detail the Criminal Regimes of the Correa-Chavez-FARC-Iranian Axis of crime?
And what do we do now as this machine rolls out an unprecedented military aggression machinery while abruptly cutting off American business, open media and free speech and the end of law and order? What we know is that Ecuadoreans and Venezuelans in general are not only lazy but in their selfishness have refused to coalesce and work in unity with cross purposes to unite freedom lovers, pretending as they do that their issues alone are the sole issues of the day when nothing could be further form the truth. The issue to day remains as it has been since 1999: the replacement of productive socio-political affairs with a sweeping installation of criminal cartels under a semi-Marxism that today protects and defends utter totalities in two nations while we watch Argentina and Brazil wobble, teeter and complicity proclaim, as Lula just did out of his drunken haze, that Chavez is the leading political headlight in Latin America. No doubt he thinks that Correa is a swell guy too. In this Lula- no one of any sobriety- is wrong.
We link the current Oppenheimer piece. He is correct that Chavez and Correa are truly state sponsors of terror- evil so deep that it is the new Andean growth industry and must be stopped. Oppenheimer stupidly cannot bring himself to review U.S. laws and norms and proclaim that the USA must not ever designate Chavez as a state sponsor of terror for this will make him angry. We have heard this series of lies before from spot oil traders and Venezuelan offshore derivatives traders, who of course are the only ones- along with assorted criminals and drug runners plus US AID contractors from NED and the Soros family of anti-Colombia actors to defend Chavez and Correa, such as listed as interviewed by the Insulza and Meacham ridiculously vapid and factless/forensic-missing so called Reports on the Andes. The Soros-backed US AID actors in the Andes are liars and do act to remove law and order while declaring their efforts as helping human rights and helping the poor, following the Chavez and Correa foolishness because neither Chavez nor Correa help human rights nor law and order which have been barred in all essential ways in these two nations. But Oppenheimer says that Chavez and Correa have been Put on the Spot- that is under the spotlight and will find a way to wiggle out of being known for what they are- by more lying, more crime and more disgrace. That is how these two men have been trained from birth and how they act still yet today.
It is utterly depraved and illicit to decide that facts cannot be known as facts because once revealed, the facts will make one angry. No one wants to set about making people angry. However, the world of criminal mindsets, cartels and aggressive weapons build up as is underway in the Andes does truly need no more of the soft hand of appeasement but the cold hard light of day with facts, data and correct analysis, all missing from the ridiculously aberrant Insulza of the OAS and Carl Meacham of the "U.S. Senate"- aka the U.S. Democratic Party of enablers.
The FARC is a terror group and anyone who says differently is a liar.
Ecuador and Venezuela sponsor and conspire to grow the FARC both in their own lands and extraterritorially.
The USA's Tom Shannon says that the USA is confused about all this and is considering if the facts show that the acts by Correa and Chavez are not simply self enrichment or political bluster and if Chavez and Correa re not merely stupid or just plain evil. This decision making has been made all the more difficult because no Ecuadoreans and no Venezuelans have deemed their liberties sufficiently in need of acting like adults to coalesce on a larger scale and stand united against this scourge of our age. Each does hang alone and the group also is hung out to dry, selfishly believing that it is every man for himself. This is not helpful and has caused great schisms and infighting to destabilize truth tellers. The USA for its part has not helped at all and has spent huge sums of money to further the fatless pretext as scribbled by the errant and feckless scribe of the Soros and pro FARC actors named Carl Meacham, among hundreds of liars, ninnyhammers, dimwits and dunces all on the US AID-NED payroll today in the Andes. No truth tellers are welcome. This needs to be abruptly changed from the top down.
However, even this more needs to be accomplished for this is not the sole "fault" of the dazed, disreputable and girlie-girl policies of the USA centering on appeasing the FARC and the advocates of making money aplenty off of other's instability, crime and legitimizing that which should never be legitimized and worse yet- building up aggressive weaponry to defend and expand their evil cartels. There is in fact nothing- nothing at all- that anyone can honestly say to defend the acts of Hugo Chavez and Rafael Correa. They need to be known for what they are and they need to depart the scene now because of their own decision making, aberrant and criminal as it is.
Anyone who protects and defends Correa and Chavez today is not only a liar but is probably on the take/on the make with their dirty money and even worse geopolitical scrum.
But Oppenheimer, himself a pro USA Democrat does the disingenuous: he attacks truth tellers who state that the USA cannot any longer avoid being honest about who and what the Correa and Chavez crime cartel is all about while at the same time saying that the USA cannot any longer avoid being dishonest about who and what the Correa and Chavez crime cartel is all about.
Oppenheimer not only reveals his naiveté but his refusal to report the facts accurately as a sloppy journalist, preferring instead to pretend that the U.S. Democrats are not in league with the FARC when they are and have been. Oppenheimer could have reported on how many visits to the U.S. Congress of the Soros-controlled Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid that FARC mill Piedad Cordoba has made, but he did not. he could have reported on how much money the U.S. government and Hugo Chavez have spent in partnership to actually welcome Cordoba to the USA to promote the Chavez-Correa-FARC cartel not only at the Inter American Dialogue but also every Soros-enhanced USA actor group that tours with WOLA and the Pelosi leadership to meet with the FARC on fake grounds to enhance their political unity. We have called for a U.S. Congressional review of their money spent and acts made to promote the FARC and hope that this will take place.
Oppenheimer cannot honestly denounce the USA "Republicans" for doing what is right just because they are "Republicans" who did what is right, while his own article calls for all of us to do what is right. Oppenheimer needs to give credit where it is due to the US Republicans who stood their ground and asked for the truth. If Andres Oppenheimer finds this to be too heavy a political burden, he does not understand the gravity of this moment and no doubt is considering his own self promoting book tours with the U.S. Department of State's commercial backing and the OAS and World Bank backers. He can also go back and enjoy the deteriorated, crime legalizing Kirtchners in Argentina and his Peronist pals. He should be considering that no one should back him unless and until he consistently reports the facts- not pro Democrat screed.
Here Add LINK is Oppenheimer laying out the irrefutable crime sheet of Correa and Chavez while he does an about face and denounces the very souls who originally laid out the irrefutable crime sheet of Correa and Chavez:
Oppenheimer says that Correa and Chavez are caught red handed as criminals. Indeed this is a fact.
Oppenheimer dishonestly tells us that to declare Chavez and Correa as a state sponsor of terror is to make Chavez angry.
Not unlike appeasement, enabling of manipulators and criminals is not a good idea. Should we care that Chavez and Correa are stamping their little feet and waving their little angry fists in the air- making themselves known as the angry adolescents that they are- the sociopathic liars that they are? All teen agers on a drunken binge react angrily when caught. Oppenheimer says that Correa and Chavez have been caught red handed committing huge crimes. But he falls in to the trap of the new Andean Family Values which refuses to be honest or act honorably when its own are "Caught Red Handed" committing crimes- huge crimes- and mandates that we all ignore this unpleasantness, we all enable this unpleasantness and we all pretend that if we just throw more money and cover up these CAUGHT RED HANDED IN CRIMES, that it will all go away.
The elephant in this living room is today that Correa and Chavez are growing their crime capitols in the Western Hemisphere while systematically removing, stripping and barring the very tenants of Western Civilization to make the world a more perfect place for their childish, adolescent crime sprees. We hear the USA say that its diplomats are "worried." Worried? Worried was 4 years ago when the USA's diplomats decided it best to "throw in the towel" and let Chavez's influence spread and grow while pretending illicitly that Chavez and Correa's regimes are democratic and legitimate when they are not and have not been- ever. Being "worried" about hardened criminals is an irresponsible and unprofessional response. Like any scourge or cancer the first step is to be honest, not worried for one is past the o time to be worried. Define this thing for what it is. Oppenheimer, to his credit, calls this for what it is- criminal behavior.
But he ridiculously and dishonestly refuses to credit the USA's Republicans who also state that Correa and Chavez act with criminal behaviors. This is disingenuous and dishonest on Oppenheimer's part as if he just cannot bring himself to credit anyone outside his preferred US Democratic-Soros backed political machine. This makes Oppenheimer look stupid. This is not about politics but about the facts. And the facts are that Chavez and Correa are criminal sponsors of terror, among many other crimes against humanity.
The OAS wants to adjudicate the FARC crime spree politically. This will dishonestly pretend that their own special politics of hatred can restore integrity to Latin America. Reread Carl Meacham's inane and dishonest abuse of U.S. taxpayer monies also- he supports handing over criminal adjudication of the FARC to the OAS's tender mercies too, which is of course why he wrote his ridiculous and dishonest pro FARC Report anyway.
It is impossibly naive to pretend that the FARC criminal matter can be adjudicated in the media or by the OAS. Insulza does not even pretend to call the FARC a terror group and dishonors the USA and the EU by deriding their correct determination that the FARC are terrorists. Insulza needs to be fired and removed and take all his FARC enablers with him. The only ones keeping him on the job today- indeed the only pro Insulza supporters at the OAS today- are his own gaggle of pro FARC paid contractors from the Soros hall of shame and dishonesty. Insulza is a disgrace and a dishonest buffoon who hates the USA, makes nasty jokes about George Bush behind his back and laughs about US Republicans saying that they do not understand the Latin's need to manipulate law and order and lie to promote the special politics of hatred. This is what the USA feeds and gives shelter to, along with a cushy car and driver? One more lying useless limousine liberal to spread the politics of hatred, as he does, is no way to build credibility. Insulza thinks this largesse is due him. We say: NO MAS. Insulza is a pro Chavez/pro Correa, pro FARC liar and a useless provocateur of dishonesty and the politics of hatred. Just re read his data-free, forensics-free support for Correa and Chavez, parroted by the Soros-backed Meacham and know that this pro FARC cabal is lethally debased.

Arrest This Man
By BROOK H. BESHAH and MARIAN L. TUPY
FROM TODAY'S WALL STREET JOURNAL EUROPE
May 16, 2008
Hiwet Teklu's son Samson was 22 years old in 1978 when he was arrested by agents of the Ethiopian government. He was tortured for 15 days and then shot. His mother found his lifeless body on her front doorstep the next morning. At least she was spared the indignity of the "wasted bullet" tax, which relatives of the victims of the Ethiopian "Red Terror" usually had to pay to the government in order to have the bodies released for burial.
Corbis
Ethiopia's most wanted: Mengistu Haile Mariam speaks in Addis Ababa, May 1977.
Samson was a member of an opposition student movement -- a crime in Ethiopia under the rule of a Marxist military dictator named Mengistu Haile Mariam. Samson was only one of many thousands of his countrymen who lost their lives during the Red Terror, which lasted from 1974 to 1991. Yet most people have forgotten that Mengistu is still living in exile in Zimbabwe. As the situation in Zimbabwe deteriorates, we should remember that Robert Mugabe is not the only dictator whose future hangs in the balance. If Mugabe falls, Mengistu should also face justice.
* * *
Mengistu Haile Mariam was born in 1937. He joined the army at an early age and by 1974, when the military overthrew Emperor Haile Selassie, was a major. He thus became a member of the military junta known as the Derg. Mengistu soon distinguished himself by both his radicalism and ruthlessness. Having executed Gen. Teferi Benti, the Derg's chairman, Mengistu succeeded him in 1977.
The next 14 years in Ethiopia were marked by the typical Marxist trifecta: murder, economic collapse and famine. First, Mengistu turned on his opponents from the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Party and All-Ethiopia Socialist Movement. In the violence that followed, tens of thousands of people lost their lives. Some of them were mere children. According to a report issued by the Swedish Save the Children Fund in May 1977, for example, "1,000 children have been killed, and their bodies are left in the streets and are being eaten by wild hyenas...You can see the heaped-up bodies of murdered children, most of them aged 11 to 13, lying in the gutter, as you drive out of Addis Ababa."
Second, Mengistu embraced the disastrous economics of central planning. All private businesses, such as banks and factories, were nationalized and put under the control of Soviet-style bureaucracies. The Derg shut down Ethiopia's schools and universities for two years, forcing the students to move to the countryside to implement land nationalization. Land nationalization exacerbated the effects of the drought, severely reducing the output of Ethiopian farmers. By 1984, Ethiopia was suffering a full-blown famine.
Mengistu initially denied that the famine existed. Instead, he devoted much of the state's resources to celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Derg's rise to power. Soon, however, Mengistu realized that he could use the world's sympathy to his advantage. As images of Ethiopian babies with kwashiorkor bellies beamed into Western living rooms, foreign aid and food poured into the country. Private charities raised money, too, as did the first Live Aid concert organized by Bob Geldof.
Unbeknownst to many people, the Derg channeled some of the aid to feed the military machine in its war against two rebel movements: the Ethiopian Peoples' Revolutionary Democratic Front and Eritrean People's Liberation Front. By 1991, however, the rebels were able to drive Mengistu into exile.
The trial of Mengistu and other Derg members that took place in Ethiopia ended in 2006. After 12 years, Mengistu was found guilty of genocide. In early 2007, he was sentenced, in absentia, to life in prison. The trial provided an opportunity for some of the victims of the Derg to tell their story. Ms. Teklu was one of them. "These people are luckier than our sons and daughters," she noted about the convicted members of the Derg. "They are getting a fair trial."
Should much-needed political change come to Zimbabwe, Mengistu will be, once again, stateless. Already the Ethiopian diaspora is filled with rumors of his possible future flight to North Korea. The victims of the Derg deserve that Mengistu Haile Mariam never makes it there.

We refuse to acknowledge any further dishonest and lazy excuses from Ecuadoreans that "gee- we just did not know that Marxism always ruins lives."
This is the height of lazy, irresponsible and manipulative family values. It is truly the Elephant in our own Living Rooms- addicting entire nations to the drug of ignorance and its kissing cousin of vice, mayhem, instability and ultimately repulsion on a global scale. These behaviors always create their own extortion rackets, whether to defend the dysfunctional domestic lifestyle or to defend the dysfunctional national non-function. Today however, the Chavez and Correa extortion rackets are quite active and are defended by large chunks of human beings who are on their criminal payrolls and need to do something honest instead.
But when nations refuse to self correct and remain addicted to their own dysfunction, eventually some adult somewhere has to stand up for responsible behaviors and speak for all the USA companies who have been stolen from in the Andes, all the dead, raped and kidnapped and all the vanished children now in forced FARC labor camps- a feature that the Soros actors do not want you to know about. These are the disappeared- society's lost children- thousands of them dead and slightly alive inside their forced FARC terror camps.
We can all be adults and put an end to this dysfunctional game of hiding from ourselves things that do not work and are dysfunctional. We know what works.
Things in life that work are known and can be returned for the good of all. This takes work.
We know what the Plan is to restore legitimacy in the Andes. You do too and it is not inclusive of this current crop of dishonest enablers of mayhem.
Today we read in EL UNIVERSO and here and here that US AID has a new major contractor to restore business, repair democracy and deliver free trade and competitiveness in Ecuador named CARANA, read more here. Carana tells us also that their new massive contract will end crime, restore legitimacy to the illegitimate Correa regime which has no Congress, has no courts and has no law and order as it has married with the FARC, Chavez and Iran. It will "create a new policy dialogue" and while they are taking millions of U.S. dollars, Ecuador is a dead nation and as such, Rafael Correa is a criminal. Carana tells us that they have been deeply involved in advising directly and assisting with the "populist" agenda of the government of Rafael Correa of Ecuador. That is of course the governments of Venezuela and Iran for all intents and purposes which have crafted a narcostate where the Republic of Ecuador used to be. For our part, we can only hope that US AID shuts down this criminal sedition that aids and assists the criminal regime of Rafael Correa and lies comprehensively not only to the people of Ecuador but also to the people of the USA. US AID does both the USA and Ecuador a huge disservice by refusing to be honest about what is happening in Ecuador and the Andes, pretending that a broccoli farm here, "leather" promotionals out of Cuenca [I think we all know why this is passed through out of Cuenca and for whose favor they seem to curry] and a few flower farms will save Ecuador from Marxism. We will not forget what they do here now.
Read here that one year ago they are officially inking the deal. Initially this was a $12 million deal through Banco de Pichincha among two others, currently known for what it is: a money laundering center for the FARC which no one outside of the USA's FIN CEN seems to care about while US AID and the IDB rewards its criminal customers without any valid due diligence, thanks to politically debauched IDB in-country management now, under his family's Chavez team mates. This year for their efforts to help the leather needy, another $7 plus plus million is inexplicably conferred to these ninnyhammers for no known reason. A big hand for the leather goods retailer in Indiana, whose own site shows no profit-loss or public statements in this storefront, pass through account supposedly the cornerstone of showing US-Ecuador trade growth. While we have no argument with the rights of those interested in "leather” promotion [err] we note that Brazil and Argentina are an almost monopoly on leather products while Ecuador can and could develop any and all useful manufacturing. But this is not worth fifty dollars to create a false show of productivity when Ecuador has done all that it can to slap the USA, the EU and truth tellers in the face. No leather front group in Indiana is going to undo the rampant crime that Correa is undertaking. About $40 million from US AID in Ecuador buys the equivalent of about $100 million in normal countries: it is a lot of propaganda in a country that needs law and order and needs guidance: not more excuses and cover ups for the criminal cabal running the land today. These people are not serious, they are not honest: they are just another string of perps to pimp for the illegitimate legalization in the Andes of that which should never be legitimized:

CARANA News
CARANA supports first leather sector agreement with Global Development Alliance in Ecuador
Arlington, Virginia, September 20, 2007 — Under USAID's Productive Network (Red Productiva), CARANA will support the leather "cluster" or value chain in Cuenca, the third largest city in Ecuador, a UNESCO World Heritage Trust site, and home of the "Panama hat." CARANA's approach focuses on linking firms, industries, and the financial sector to improve the leather sector’s and region’s competitiveness – including leather hide producers and leather tanneries, designers and accessories manufacturers.

Photo: From left to right, Paul Bonicelli, USAID Deputy Administrator for Latin America and Caribbean, Alexi Panehal, USAID/Ecuador Mission Director, Juan Malo, President/Cuerotex and Santiago Secada, Project Director/CARANA, Red Productiva, at GDA signing ceremony.
Key partners of this program are Cuerotex Confecciones, founded by Juan Malo in 1992, and Michael Trent Inc., based in Evansville, Indiana. Cuerotex, which provides outerwear to mainstream U.S. department stores, specialty houses, catalog companies, NASCAR racing teams and the U.S. National Rodeo Finals, will be the lead firm driving the process of cluster development among the 14 participating firms of the leather cluster– now known as CURTESA. MTI will provide market intelligence and additional distribution channels. It will also provide an initial rotating fund to finance working capital needs of micro and small producers.
"This GDA activity will be used as model for nine other clusters that USAID/Ecuador will support," said Bernai Velarde, USAID Senior Private Sector Officer. Through Red Productiva and this first GDA activity for the firm, CARANA will provide technical assistance and training to improve the leather sector's productivity, quality and designs for international and domestic markets. CARANA will also provide technical assistance on environmental issues affecting the leather industry.
Concurrently, we read in the local media here that a formerly accepted corruption fighter is currently paid almost 1/2 million dollars are year by the Correa team to cover their corruption crimes in the banking industry and defend Correa's money laundering for Chavez, the FARC and Iran.
Stopping the scourge of Marxism, crime and destruction in the Andes starts with each of us telling the truth about the evil promoted by Chavez, Correa, Castro, Iran and the FARC. It starts with each of us and we are called upon to stop ignoring these crimes of hatred:
"There are good and decent people who cannot fathom the darkness in these men and try to explain away their words. It’s natural, but it is deadly wrong. As witnesses to evil in the past, we carry a solemn responsibility to take these words seriously. Jews and Americans have seen the consequences of disregarding the words of leaders who espouse hatred. And that is a mistake the world must not repeat in the 21st century.
Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: ‘Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided.’ We have an obligation to call this what it is — the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history.”
These words were honestly spoken by George Bush this last week in Israel: these words belong to us all.
Yes- there is hope for the Andes. But it is time to help grow that hope and opportunity by stopping the lies and the very cute efforts to commence broccoli farms and "leather" needs and look at what is really killing Ecuador and Venezuela. It is the criminal Marxist state take over of freedom as they marry with the FARC in every sense.
We totally agree with the USA's John Walters here for truly Hugo Chavez does have a lot to answer for. We hope that George Bush gets those answers from Chavez and all his incarnations from all his criminal cartels. And we hope that Walters knows, as we all know, that sometimes the USA's own actors are the very enablers about whom Bush spoke in Israel the other day, in particular the ever deceitful George Soros and all his minions.
Indeed, the very ones who jumped to defend themselves from being cast as enablers of crime are the very ones whose lives are directly controlled today by Soros's foreign policy plans to legitimize that which should never be legitimized. These politicians need to give Soros back his money and never involve themselves with his self enriching plans. Further, they should not cover for Soros either as they did the other day in the US media.
Covering for supporters of the FARC and global terrorists- called enabling and or abetting- is always a disaster.
-Pedro Camargo for ECrisis
Indeed, even the U.S. Senate's Carl Meacham de facto enables the FARC written Plan Ecuador to help legalize in Ecuador a new FARC zone to aid and abet legitimizing that which should never be legitimized.

* * *
