NEWS: The FARC is a Criminal Cartel That Lies About Humanitarian Relief While Promoted by Chavez and Correa
June 2, 2008 ECrisis is thrilled- just delighted- to bring readers a bona fide assessment of the role of the FARC not only down the street but globally. We have been repulsed by numerous politicians and writers and yes- even friends- who tell us that the FARC is not so bad and that their state sponsors of terror are not so bad and that all criminality is really OK because....they just need the money and they are helping the poor. The FARC and its allies do not help the poor and their criminality is not OK and they need to stop doing what they are doing. The FARC is horrifying and very very evil. Anyone who works with and supports the FARC is terribly dirty and evil and enables more evil. Hugo Chavez and Rafael Correa are two such men and both need to resign now.
Instead of telling us ridiculously that the FARC can be controlled in Ecuador as long as Correa enables the FARC to raise unnatural hybrid heroin poppies and process cocaine paste in Ecuador and launder dirty monies in Ecuadorean banks and pretend that the FARC and the Shinning Path are normal citizens, we welcome and commend all truth tellers and factual analysis of this scourge. No one tells it better than the writer of this piece:

Some 11,000 text documents have been retrieved from the computers seized by the Colombian government after a bombing raid on a guerrilla camp in March. That raid killed rebel leader Raúl Reyes.
Yet combing through only a portion of the material, which I did recently, is enough to see that the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia – the FARC – is held together by two common threads.
First is the globalization of the armed struggle. The FARC's allies and suppliers come from places as far flung as Australia, China, Russia, the Middle East and all parts of Latin America. Some are ideological comrades – both inside governments and operating as illegal cells; others are members of organized crime networks. All are crucial actors in the FARC's bloodthirsty search for power.
The second common thread is the propaganda war. FARC rebels not only assume that they can manipulate international opinion by claiming a "humanitarian" agenda. They count on it.
All this is facilitated by Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez. The Colombian military has been running up the score against the FARC of late and rebel operations are close to falling apart, as Journal reporter José de Cordoba wrote last week1. But the documents show that aid from Mr. Chávez is prolonging the war by keeping FARC hopes alive.
The Venezuelan president has been creative in thinking about how he can help the rebels. The documents show that he has offered $250 million to $300 million but that's not all. In a February memo to the FARC high command, two rebel leaders who had recently met with Mr. Chávez describe proposed money-making schemes. "He offered us the possibility of a business in which we would receive a quota of oil to sell outside the country, which would leave us with a juicy profit." There was also an offer of Venezuelan state contracts.
In January 2007, the rebels penned a memo explaining that a Venezuelan general told them that arms shipments from abroad could be brought in through the Venezuelan port of Maracaibo. By September, the shipments were being lined up.
"Yesterday I received two Australian arms suppliers," one rebel wrote to the high command, "thanks to a contact made through Ramiro [a Salvadoran.]" The Aussies "offer very good prices on all we need." The list includes 50-caliber machine guns, sniper rifles, rocket-propelled grenades and missiles. "All of these materials are made in Russia and China," he wrote, and the shipment would take a month or so "to arrive in Venezuela."
Just in case all this military hardware doesn't maim and murder enough civilians to produce a surrender by the Colombian government, Mr. Chávez and the FARC also have been collaborating on Plan B: an effort to acquire legitimacy in the eyes of the international community by branding Colombian President Álvaro Uribe as heartless and unreasonable.
That was supposed to be a slam dunk after Mr. Chávez last year won the role of "mediator" in the effort to free some FARC hostages, including the French-Colombian Ingrid Betancourt. But a series of PR faux-pas, culminating in a fruitless trip to see French President Nicolas Sarkozy, destroyed any credibility he may briefly have enjoyed as a peacemaker.
Shortly thereafter, rebel leaders wrote a memo outlining how they planned to position themselves as humanitarians ready to swap hostages for rebel prisoners "in contrast to the stubborn intransigence of Mr. Uribe." Among their demands would be exclusion from the international terrorist list and access to diplomatic missions. "If [Mr. Uribe] rejects it, as he surely will," they wrote, "we lose nothing and instead he will remain isolated and under international pressure."
That plan, too, went nowhere. On Feb. 8 of this year, the rebels wrote that Mr. Chávez had a new idea: to create an international group – consisting of Cuba, Argentina, Ecuador, Brazil, Mexico and Nicaragua – similar to the Contadora Group. Contadora, which was formed in the 1980s allegedly to find a peaceful solution to the Central American wars, in fact provided political cover to the region's Marxists. According to the rebels, Mr. Chávez said that if Mr. Uribe wants to improve bilateral relations, he would have to accept it and "asks that we bring Ingrid to the inaugural."
In preparation for the swap, the group would set up a "humanitarian camp" with "the presence of the press, international delegates and the FARC."
In other words, there is no peace agenda. Only plans for a circus designed to undermine Colombia's democracy. The rest of the region's governments ought to worry about who is next."
---------
No truer words have been spoken: "there is no peace agenda" for the FARC with Chavez and Correa blocking any reasonable and lawful solution while enabling increased violence and murder to further this criminal cartel of which they are rightfully deemed as members thereto. Indeed, had it not been for Chavez and Correa, like Cuba, the FARC would be on its way to Uribe's Rehab Centers or prisons where they belong for their crimes or simply out of service, to put it politely. Had it not been for Correa and Chavez, over 1200 hostages might be freed or alive today because their direct acts as heads of state barred the hostage release efforts by professionals seeking to help secure their freedoms. But Chavez and Correa extort law enforcement efforts by pretending/lying that there can be no law enforcement in the Andes because the very innocent victims kidnapped/stolen with their help, also called hostages, are seen only as tools to shield their criminal acts and to debase fact finding and the hostages release. Instead of helping humanitarian relief acts, both Chavez and Correa knowingly and willfully abuse the hostages to prolong their agony and grow fake global support for their false acts which is doubly evil.
The JOURNAL article correctly notes that
"On Feb.
We suggest that the JOURNAL independently review the complicit activities by paid strategists and paid propagandists from the USA and numerous service groups, sometimes called NGOs, with the accent on the word "NON" because these are acts and actors unlawfully aiding and abetting, enabling and conspiring to grow the Chavez-Correa narcostate bloc following an identical road map set forward by the Contadora Group of Marxist murderers in the 1980s, notably barring progress in Nicaragua and El Salvador. This is a war of attrition and it is being waged against the good of mankind. We have urged on these pages that the U.S. government stop funding these groups and stop praising those who do and cease its double talk that law and order comes from enabling crime when it does not. In other words, the USA must end its time in support of those who support anti USA hate groups and the evil they own and spread.
The identical strategists that assisted the criminal Sandinistas and Cuban terror trainers called "Contadoras" are alive and well and paid handsomely with Rafael Correa's dirty and off the books funds to the same team that dishonestly crafted and led the pro Sandinista terror groups and the same drug running Aristide groups from Haiti and numerous new actors who lie a lot to soothe that this is all wonderfully blissful when murder, rape and state theft and the removal of liberty is not blissful and it is not anything that any nation should support: not at all.
Rafael Correa's lobbyist in chief and general strategist in the USA and Quito has retained the coordinating machine of Fenton Communications to lie a lot to the public about their crimes of terror and undermine what little is left of integrity inside the U.S. Congress. Rafael Correa's lobbyist in chief also plans with the Embassy of Ecuador in Washington to stage happy little yacht cruises down the Potomac River while urging guests to support the Chavez-Correa Plan to legalize narcotics in the Andes, also called support for the FARC and the new regional constitutions, claiming that President Bush and President Uribe are loathsome leaders of democracy and law and order and growth plans for the Andes which they instinctively reject in preference for what Rafael Correa calls the gift of Marxism and what Hugo Chavez calls Marxism of the 21 Century. We call it criminal. For its part, Bush has no clue what his own employees do to aid and abet the criminal enablers in the Andes and needs to have the facts first- not the browned out useless nonintelligence handed to him on a platter. We suspect that Uribe knows a bit more, having seen his own ambassador in Washington pour millions in to so called lobbyists who actually worked against Colombia on the illicit advice that Colombia needed to hire the anti-Colombia lobbyists to make headway. This is also called extortion and is not only lazy advice but criminally negligent. This is a book end to the awful acts underway today in the Andes by the U.S. government to lure stupid investors to Ecuador and Venezuela so that they can suffer the identical fate of other U.S. companies along with Canadian and European companies: more theft of their companies and more non support from the U.S. embassies who are supposed to help them but have not once done so. Criminally negligent acts debase the USA and assist these criminals who are now further enabled by the U.S. Democratic Party under the Soros-FARC legalizing plan for the Andes, also called a happy moment under the next US president named Barack Hussein Obama- or so they tell us all while protected by U.S. Embassy staffers from Quito and the Soros-backed actors also called hostage negotiators from US AID-Soros teams crawling across Ecuador plus perps also called members of the U.S. Congress, Democratic Party operatives all who also jigger the U.S. Congress to create even more harm to Colombia. For our part, we insist that all media and all citizens are due the facts about Chavez, Correa, Iran and the FARC and we will have this. It is time to subpoena Paul Reichler and Soros's own planned attrition agents called Fenton Communications for their direct role in subverting law and order and their complicity in the deaths and horrors sustained by the hostages held by Chavez and Correa's FARC. It is a repeat performance of the Aristide and Sandinista-Cuban Marxist Plan which made them lots of money then and makes them lots of money today while maintaining the Tokyo Rose food chain of liars and propagandists for the FARC and more importantly for the military build up in the Andes for this neo Marxist cartel called the new Andean bloc of aggressively criminal nations.
We read that the FARC- and Chavez- poured money and material support- and strategists and criminals in to helping Correa get elected and do now live and breathe and have the work ruining Ecuador. And still Ecuadoreans tell us that they do not care. As Correa tells us: he just needed the money. Or as the ethically vacated U.S. Embassy in Quito staffers tell anyone who is stupid enough to listen to them without reporting them to Tom Shannon of the U.S. Department of State, they say: ` Correa is wonderful because he destroys the oligarchs and he helps the poor.' These complicit in crime dunderheads need to go....preferably to jail but noticeably to the Inspector General's office of the USA for their supporting role in these crimes against humanity, also called the false face of assisting the poor while building criminal cartels under the fake picture of humanitarians. This is evil and is not bearable. But our neighbors tell us that this is just all right because...like Correa and the US AID idiots seeking contracts, they just need the money. Complicity with criminals in any format is aiding and abetting crime.
It is pure evil to support Rafael Correa who was elected illegally with dirty money and is sustained with dirty money and dirty officials to craft even more harm to the hemisphere.
We are also delighted that Jose Miguel Insulza, titular head of the disgustingly vapid and morally vacated OAS currently meeting in Bogota, paused a bit from his partying to celebrate its past glories such as rejoicing over its great heads such as Cesar Gaviria, whose own team of barely out of puberty staffers was knowingly called his "Kindergarten" and Luigi Einaudi who is an unrepentant Jimmy Carter man with a CIA track record in support of Peru's Montesinos and Peter Romero's Andean gold mines that is the stuff of novels while urging one and all to spare us just a few more lies. Both Luigi and Gaviria pushed the pathetic Soros plan on to Colombia under Clinton to give away one half of that nation for the FARC, for peace. They now want the entire nation of Colombia. Colombia should never be under the Soros drug plan for the FARC again and we hope that John Negroponte today in Bogota will not commend these past crimes nor ever again enjoin the USA in willful abandon of US principles. But yesterday Insulza sounded as if he were reading right off of U.S. Congressional texts [Republican that is because the U.S. Democrats are too busy aiding and abetting Chavez, Correa and the FARC in every meaningful legislative and propaganda effort they can muster] to detail the very OAS agreements which each OAS member has penned. This is a good thing. Insulza still needs to apologize for his lies under oath to the U.S. Congress that the FARC is not a terror group. If he cannot do this, he must resign...and take his FARC loving pals with him.
Although Insulza needs to be fired for not only incompetence and his willful deceit to prolong the humanitarian suffering of the over 1, 200 hostages and untold murdered from the hands of the FARC as sustained and hidden by Chavez, Correa, the OAS and the intellectually dishonest and embarrassing Carl Meacham and his Insulza/FARC/Correa-Chavez assisting dishonest Report from the U.S. Senate, we are pleased that Insulza finally grasps the concept that the OAS is bound under United Nations agreements and its own counter narcotics and counter terrorism agreements. Insulza you see is backed in to a corner and must defend the warp and woof of Western Civilization or be known as the perpetrator of its demise. Never mind that no one- no one at all- denounced the fraudulent and willful complicity with Chavez and Correa by Insulza who also called U.S. Republicans - Soto vocce of course- in Spanish language interviews only- as `not understanding law and order in South America.' Well understand this Insulza: you have an oath of office and you have failed to uphold it or tell the truth while busily enabling the propagandists who tell us that Chavez and Correa are humanitarians helping the FARC hostages when they are not. This bilious mass of quivering self importance named Insulza is a Soros man and is a fraud.
Another crucial part of the article as above is the growing awareness that the FARC may be dead and buried or decimated, but the pathetic and tawdry commitment to what the FARC stands for and how it behaves criminally is enshrined in the very acts of Hugo Chavez and Rafael Correa not just because we enable them to continue- for we do- but because both Chavez and Correa are sociopathic liars who conspire for the deterioration of integrity and functional government to promote their criminal cartels, called the Bolivarian Bloc. This is not to be born.
Who will pull the plug? Who will shut down these cartel actors?
Luis Eladio Perez of Colombia has been making the rounds across Washington, D.C. to tell the world that President Bush must order the release of two notoriously brutal FARC masterminds currently inside U.S. prisons. Perez, a former senator from Colombia follows the lath of Nancy Pelosi's favorite FARC moll, Piedad Cordoba, herself feted more times that human nature should allow by the funds from Hugo Chavez and US AID funded groups in the USA. We can only guess who paid for Sr. Perez's very expensive trip to the USA to sell the notion that negotiating with the FARC, that is Chavez and Correa's FARC, will yield anything more than even more manipulations. Manipulative actors only sustain more manipulations in their unending addiction to manipulative living where nothing else matters and all is subverted to their craven efforts to control. Sr. Perez needs to enter Uribe's FARC rehab centers for an end to his manipulative thinking. As with all Venezuelans and Ecuadoreans, he is just one more manipulative being whose essential dishonesty helps nothing.
We have yet to see one- just one- decent effort from Ecuadorean or Venezuelan truth tellers who remain locked up in their foolish self imprisoning cells, also called their homes, while refusing to stand on principles or truth telling. There is precedence for this: all truth tellers from the Andean nations previously called Venezuela and Ecuador have had the door slammed in their faces by the USA and suffered indignities far below what the USA is supposed to stand for. It is an unnatural game of deceit played by these front line warriors in the Soros War of Attrition to Gainsay his Preferred Andean NarcoBloc of nations for fun and profit.
Far too many failed, dead zone Ecuadoreans look and act today like failed/ dead zone Lebanese... telling us that a dead state is OK and that lawlessness is someone else's problem as long as we can hide behind our walls and pretend that we are holier than anyone else while living off of someone else's money. These morally vacated slobs continue to live off someone else's money and call this "religion" while holding no clue that the world finds them repulsively lazy and irresponsible. What ruined Lebanon is what ruins Ecuador today and it is a bizarre demand that all of life be manipulated while true freedoms are never enshrined and essentially meaningless, denying even that these are inalienable rights. We do not negotiate moral commitments nor jigger Western Civilization as adolescents just to make ourselves feel better. But the Lebanese do and today they have a failed state run by Hezbollah. In Ecuador, this is called "Family Values" and they see nothing whatsoever wrong about aiding and abetting Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and the smaller FARC. In fact, all these criminal banking endeavors are welcome in Ecuador: they are called criminal terror cartels. FRONT PAGE today reports, "Moreover, U.S. intelligence reports say that Hezbollah has set up working cells in Europe, Africa, South America, and North America. According to the U.S. State Department, Hezbollah receives "substantial amounts of financial, training, weapons, explosives, political, diplomatic, and organizational aid from Iran and Syria." The organization's annual operational budget is believed to be between $200 million and $500 million, including some $100 million from Iran...Since 2003 Hezbollah has worked more closely with other Palestinian terrorist organizations such as Islamic Jihad, Hamas, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, and, especially, Tanzim. Hezbollah has also been a major supplier of weapons to Hamas... In May 2007 Kassem stated that all of his organization’s policies and activities are coordinated with, and ultimately controlled by, Iranian leadership. "Even when it comes to firing rockets on Israeli civilians, when they [Israel] bombed the civilians on our side, even that decision requires an in-principle permission from [the ruling jurisprudent]," Kassem said in reference to Supreme Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. "Hezbollah relied and relies still in its Islamic religious position, which has to do with its activity in general and its jihadist activity in particular, on the decision of [Khamenei]. The ruling jurisprudent is the one who allows and the one who prohibits."
Also in May 2007, it was reported that Hezbollah had set up a training facility in a relatively secluded area on the Paraguay-Argentina-Brazil border, in preparation for attacks against the United States. In July 2007, Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah said -- in an interview aired by Al-Jazeera and Al-Manar television -- that his group possessed an arsenal of rockets capable of reaching "any corner and any point in occupied Palestine" (i.e., Israel), including Tel Aviv."
If you grasp the fact that the FARC is no good, wait to you see who Chavez and Correa have brought in next: Hezbollah, currently enjoined in the Andean take over for criminal Marxists. If you call yourself a victim today, wait until you enjoy Hezbollah. You will look like the Lebanese who actually legalized Hezbollah in the largest state act of enabling crime in this new Century.
And still yet we know well that Ecuadoreans and Venezuelans are irresponsibly lazy, preferring to join the war of lies, called the war of attrition because their paid advisors insist that one and all manipulate the truths and one and all engage in the very war of attrition that robs the total population of freedom and liberty. Addictions to manipulative living always and everywhere ends liberty which apparently is too much for Andean souls to consider while busily considering their next manipulation until....there is no one left to manipulate. We are not willing to wait until the last person is standing and urge preventative and direct acts to reinstate integrity. Integrity requires forward looking acts and cannot proceed as long as we remain locked up inside our self prisons of false fears, fake nerves and vapid efforts to blame all else.
We are not afraid and we are unwilling to sell out to these cartels now called governments and hide, as is constantly suggested to us.
We hope you will join us in calling for the resignations of Hugo Chavez and Rafael Correa for their criminal
complicity with cartels, large and small.
-Pedro Camargo for ECrisis
