Ilegal Operations in Existence by and From Colombia's "Neighbors"
July 23, 2008 Here are two Defense Secretaries today telling the world in today's NEW YORK TIMES that Venezuela and Ecuador have been complicit with the FARC operatives. Gates and Santos have this to say: “Over the years, FARC elements have operated illegally from across Colombia’s borders."
Other articles follow today about Chavez's weapons build up of weapons of offense- which are very different than defensive weaponry.
Many Chavez sympathizers in the USA and abroad want to tell us all that this is because of the Missile Shield System promoted by the USA in Poland, etc.
about Iran. Some others, reportedly like Norman Bailey representing clients in Venezuela- we have been told repeatedly by Venezuelans that this includes commercial and government linked banking clients-, last week told the US Foreign Relations Committee under oath, that Chavez should never be designated a state sponsor of terror because....it is "not necessary" to state the facts about Venezuela is more to the point. Or so we are told. We do suggest that any interested in the US House panel read the entire statements at www.house.gov
Just this last week, the US ambassador to Ecuador stated publicly, as repeated in major international media "that Washington "in no way" believes that the government of President Rafael Correa has any links to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (known by its Spanish initials, FARC). "
It is hoped that the US Department of State will either issue data verifications indicating facts for why this "ambassador" said this, citing the full faith and warranty of the US government so as to justify these false claims or else we hope that we will see a formal retraction and apology for this unfounded, factless claim, also called canard and sometimes called lies. DOD Secretary Gates is of course correct that the FARC operate illegally for years just across the borders of Colombia and still do today. We think our readers all know just which nations border Colombia.
We urge that any interested consider the confluence of Iranian-FARC support of and by the governments of Ecuador and Venezuela with the current claims that these two nations are not expansionist and are as clean is any nation can be/not involved with narcoterror and add in the factor of weapons build up and authoritarian governance with absolutely no transparency and no free speech and no possible way to genuinely address these matters domestically in these 2 nations.
The backed by Soros-funding Carnegie in Moscow says, "Russia’s foreign policy is not about anti-Americanism"...and yet the NYTimes says, "Russia is reaching out diplomatically to other countries seeking to limit American influence.” Some estimates of Chavez weapons build up over the last 6 years run to well over $40 billion in purchases.
While Moscow is selling high grade/new class weapons of offense to Chavez and Cuba...and Iran, it is impossible to ignore the narcoterror connectivity as any honest analyst must conclude that Chavez and Correa are state sponsors of terror.
