Ecuador is at the Mercy of International Criminal Cartels

August 14, 2008   While Ecuador pretends foolishly that nothing outside Ecuador matters and that Ecuadoreans alone have and hold the lock on all global truths and morality, their own irresponsibly vain  self delusions, founded on a bedrock of deceptive addictions to manipulative living, has failed their geo political and moral aspirations. The rest of the world is studying the Russian-Iranian movements in Eastern Europe and the Middle East while Lebanon dies. Ecuadoreans pretend this does not matter. One day they will wake up and grasp the concept that the Ecuadorean family values system is in fact killing the soul and the heart of Ecuador by irresponsibility, vapidity, laziness, inertia, cynicism and all matters dishonorable. Ecuadoreans today believe that it is better to manipulate truths than to stand for anything. This of course has handed Ecuadoreans what they want- a nation with no meaningful laws, no meaningful morals which cannot even arise from its self manipulating morass and defend the church as Correa  goes on the attack to tell the Church a whole new string of lies.

The TIMES of London noted yesterday, "No one wants war with Russia. But that doesn't mean that the gods of totalitarianism deserve to have the aspirations of free nations sacrificed to them on an altar of appeasement. “Ecuadoreans preach instead the false piety of the for-show religious and will sacrifice everything on the altar of appeasement as long as there is some money somewhere in there for their wallet.

A British writer called "Cicero" beautifully states of Russia's attack on Georgia last week,  "Make no mistake -this was a war of Russia's choosing...As the government of Georgia make a stand in the compound in Tbilisi, Russian troops have roamed at will across the country. The defeat is complete, but Russia continues to pretend that Georgia fights on. The latest nonsense is "Georgian agents are creating terrorist incidents in Russia". Only someone educated with the tin ear of the Stalinist could think that anyone beyond themselves could believe such a complete lie. In my opinion, Russia can no longer be treated as anything but what she has become: a treacherous aggressor, contemptuous of human life."

As the days go down in the West, what we do know about this massive war of attrition to kill off all that we stand for, especially Western Civilization's highest aspirations and governance, is a knowledge that cynicism is functionally bleeding whole peoples to death while irresponsible and lazy sods go on shopping sprees in Hawaii or Brickell Avenue and play golf badly while breezing through town with a view from their Rear car Window as if looking out from an old Russian politburo Zil. It is not a clean nor honest window.

Meanwhile, no one in Venezuela has ever seen the final, actual count figures from the December constitutional referenda vote. To be sure, Chavez's constitution was defeated but only because a small band of brave souls dared to reveal that the entire so called election system of Venezuela is rigged for faked, fraudulent results...as has been the case since 2002 at least. There are no courts in Venezuela that are not controlled by Chavez and as such, there is simply no justice in Venezuela, no need for lawyers for there is no law and there is no need for any petitions to their courts because Chavez's thugs are unresponsive to the cries for transparent government. But Chavez is responsive to global pressure and as such, he fears bad news in the tabloids just like the USA's trailer trash John Edwards fears trashy news. Chavez can be defeated only through the very thing he and his growing circle of extortionists and mafiosos, sometimes called the people of Venezuela who refuse to stand up for integrity,  do not own: honesty and truth telling. But in an identical series of illicit steps, Correa, like Castro's Cuba and Chavez have killed law and order in the Andes:

Neither Chavez nor Correa are honest men nor do they have any intention of being honorable. Having driven out most of the Jews from Venezuela and Argentina by overt anti Semitism, comes now Chavez to say that his Iranian partnered Hezbollah infused government will support religious freedoms for the few remaining Jewish citizens. And if you believe this, you are as stupid as Mr. Weisbrot who continues to spew platitudes about the great Hugo Chavez who is not great but remains essentially a slimy, dirty, debauched whacko who seriously is a true believer that Castro's Cuba is a paradise and that Simon Bolivar is still alive.

The Vatican has recently hosted church conferences in Ecuador, as is their right. Rafael Correa yesterday denounced the Catholic Church stating that "his" proposed constitution does not legislate abortions by the state and that the Church writ large is lying. We remain convinced that soon enough the U.S. Embassy will stand, as it has done with forty million dollars and climbing, squarely with Rafael Correa and his total lies, backing up Correa's fraud, deceits and shams just as the U.S. government backed up the utterly dishonest Gustavo Larrea who told the people of the USA that Correa fights against narcotics when he does not.

Read here the HOY review of the church's position about which Correa lies:

Again- just by defending the church's right to exist does not mean that Correa is correct to attack the church.

Correa's FARC-DISIP cabinet ranked coordinator Gustavo Larrea's surrogate- his brother, recently denounced Alvaro Uribe of Colombia again claiming that Colombia has no "proof" that Correa's cartel, in particular Larrea, is on the take and supportive of the FARC. Read EL COMERCIO here. To which Uribe's team replied that yes indeed all data and all proof revealed a blood line snaking through and across the Rafael Correa regime which has assiduously aided and abetted the FARC and all known narcoterrorists it can gleefully jump in to bed with, such as dirty Lebanese bankers for Hamas and Hezbollah's front soldiers and now the coup de grace- Iran. And yet we still pretend that Rafael Correa and his minions are right and honest to lie to the Pope's envoys and to the United States which to date has yet to do what it should do and kick out all the Soros liars and ninnyhammers it is paying for in Ecuador to prop up and cover up the ridiculously aberrant so called Cuban government of Rafael Correa. If there was ever a time for Ecuador's lazy and arrogant Catholics to rise up and defend the Vatican's truth tellers, it is today. But as usual, Ecuadoreans are pretending to be afraid and "worried" so that they feel justified that they do not need to do anything except go shopping and watch TV. Oddly, the Venezuelans to date have a better track record in supporting the Vatican than Ecuadoreans but all in all it is a pretty abysmal record.

For its part, the Papal Nuncio and the church reported that Correa's threats and lies are of no use and that the Church stands on the facts.

We urge you to study a moving and honestly reported piece here on the surrender of all international norms and law and order in Ecuador as symbolized by the conversion of the counterdrugs base at Manta to the narcotransport base at Manta currently being planned for transition in January 2009, with the avowed deception perpetrated by the pro drugs activists from the US government for reasons that still escape common bonds. The author correctly notes that Rafael Correa is hanging up a Welcome sign to all narcoterrorists to enjoy his free for all in Ecuador where there are no courts, no laws and drug runners are free to run anything they want with Iran and Chavez and the FARC.

Ecuador is dying by its own hand. The disease is called indifference and cynicism which for all its highly faulted fake piety exhibits the true facts that even the piety of Ecuadoreans is a fraud- a chimera and is at the end of the day self destructing. Piety for show is as fraudulent as Correa telling the Vatican that "his" new constitution does not stand for abortion, euthanasia, transgender or same sex marital expansion and that Correa is the true defender of all morality. If there is a time to denounce Correa's lies and his massive propaganda machine, it is today. But still none speak nor lift one lazy, pious finger. That same finger that changes the TV channel will soon have nothing but Iranian-TELESUR-AL JAZEERA propaganda to select from....because fake piety and fake values and fake integrity brings falsehoods so dire that death is on the line and no one cares.

Unless and until the Church in Ecuador returns to its core values to remind its parishioners that truth telling begins at home and that part of one's own faith is not the currently prescribed non virtue of irresponsible lazy living but is instead the end of living off someone else's money and living a meaningful, honest life full of many facets, we have no anticipation that this manipulative ethos will even stand to defend the Church proper in Ecuador which is under heavy assault because its own defenders, following far too many homilies advising appeasement and abandonment, are today appeasing and abandoning truth telling.

The president of Georgia wrote today that, "If the international community allows Russia to crush our democratic, independent state, it will be giving carte blanche to authoritarian governments everywhere."  He is right. Why, we wonder, do no Ecuadoreans even care that Ecuador is crushed as an independent state and is happily enshrining an even more ominous authoritarian regime under Correa-Iran-Chavez and Cuba? While no one- no one at all in Ecuador- is allowed by their families to even open their mouths except for tepid whining sessions and partial excuse-making about the debacle that is Correa's regime, we retain a tiny hope that Ecuadoreans will finally come to their senses and act. There is always hope...and to turn ones back on this very gift from God is a sin. Hopelessness and despair, with its kissing cousin of inertia and selfishness, is an effrontery to all that Western Civilization stands for and the very morals which over 90% of Ecuadoreans piously claim to uphold. It is a sin to lie that there is no hope.

We hope that Ecuadoreans stand with the Papal Nuncio and also review the Vatican conference positions today. The Nuncio is a good man and true and has the grace to hold himself while in the face to face confrontation of a liar named the president of Ecuador who menacingly tried to perforce the Nuncio to denounce what he knows and pretend that lying is all that matters.  Unlike Rafael Correa, the Nuncio defends freedom and the right to truth telling. It is the highest calling of governments, the church and the people to do so. Continuing to sacrifice liberty on the altar of appeasement to Correa's criminal cartels remains unacceptable.

(Author’s note: I apologize the history lecture. But, I feel that rather than compare the present regieme in Ecuador to Chavez, Moreales and others whose stories are not yet ended and therefore more easily dismissed; it might be better to view him through the magnifying lens of history to illuminate how badly the present story might end, if it is allowed to continue in its writing.)

Historically, true political power of the most dangerous sort, has been wielded by the court magician. This is the person or persons (not necessarily the monarch or head of state), that has the ability to make things that are not, appear as if they are; and those things that are, appear as if they are not.
 In biblical history, he sat beside the pharaoh turning sticks into snakes to subjugate the Jews.
 During the Crusades, he made nations believe in the existence of Holy Grail in order to raise a multi national army against a religious people who had coexisted with Christianity in peace and mutual respect for hundreds of years. (The real function of the “Grail” was to wrest power back from growing fiefdoms!)
 In the WWII, he sat both Axis and Allied tables:
o As the author of the Endlösung (Final Solution) which blamed all Germany’s ills on a caricature representation of the Jews.
o As the author of Executive Order 9066, which interred over 100,000 Nisei in American built concentration camps. (Its postscript was not written until February 19, 1976; when it was rescinded by Gerald Ford, after it came back into the public spotlight in Gordon Liddy’s comments on the Watergate Tapes… I believe major components are now incorporated into the Homeland Security Act.)
o The Russian zampolit who enjoyed the dichotomy of being simultaneously, both tactical inferior and political superior to the commissar.

In present times, he has made weapons of mass destruction appear and disappear at will.

And in Ecuador, his name is Rafael Correa Delgado.

What qualifies El Presidente over his peers, to assume the title of Court Magician? Quite simply, it is his accomplished ability to make things that are not, appear as if they are; and those things that are, appear as if they are not.

    Starting with himself.

His press releases give the following story:

Rafael Correa would have people believe he was raised in poverty by his mother. His father, a poor cocoa farmer was arrested when he was 5 years old, for smuggling drugs into the United States. Reportedly, he was forced into this in order to feed his young children and starving family. His father was released from prison and subsequently deported. He subsequently died in 1978. Correa junior would apply himself to his studies and clamber up the scholastic ladder through grit and determination to achieve a Masters from Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium in 1991 and a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Illinois – Urbana in 2001.

    Rafael Correa: The true history

Rafael Correa Icaza, father to Rafael Correa Delgado, was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador March 23, 1934. That he came from poor beginnings and struggled initially cannot be argued. However, he was a road inspector in the central portion of Guayaquil, (and not a cocoa farmer) He maintained his position as head of household until 1987. This was when he was arrested at JFK International in New York for transporting 2 kilograms of cocaine with intent to distribute. At this time, his son, Rafael Correa Delgado was 24 years old, (not an infant), and had just completed his Baccalaureate in Economics at the Universidad Católica de Santiago de Guayaquil. As this is a rather prestigious and pricey university, and there are no reports of scholarships; the level of poverty and destitution suffered by the Correa family, comes into question.

For his crimes, Rafael Correa (senior), appeared before U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida (presumably due to his status as a foreign national from Latin America) in Orlando, Florida; Judge Patricia C. Fawsett presiding. He was sentenced and imprisoned in January of 1988, at the Federal Correction Institution Oakdale, located 35 miles south of Alexandria, Louisiana. There, he remained for 5 years 6 months (not 3 years). He was released and deported to Ecuador on July 6, 1993.

Link to Federal Bureau of Prisons: http://www.bop.gov/iloc2/InmateFinderServlet?Transaction=NameSearch&needingMoreList=false&FirstName=Rafael&Middle=&LastName=Correa&Race=U&Sex=M&Age=&x=77&y=12

It should be noted that during this time, Correa’s mother, Norma Delgado Rendon, moved her family to California, lock stock and barrel. Up until the death of her father, Correa’s maternal grandfather, earlier this month, the lived in the trendy Orange County area abutting a golf course (Lake Forest Country Club), tennis courts and a swimming pool. Rafael Correa, in the meantime, had obtained a USAID scholarship to Belgium, and was capable of providing for his room and board in a rather expensive locale.

Again, all of this begs the question of destitution.

The father, Rafael Correa Icaza died by his own hand on June 10, 1995, (not in 1978, as reported), in Guayaquil, Ecuador. His son, Rafael Correa Delgado, was 32 years old (not 5, as reported). At the time, he was in Quito, Ecuador; serving as Minister of Education. It is not reported whether Correa the son, made the trip to be at the funeral.

As stated in a previous posting, the Court Magician is the most dangerous of political animals. Using the art of creating illusion, and techniques known to magicians of the benevolent sort, they have throughout history, influenced the course of human events with disastrous results: (See previous posting.) Rafael Vincente Correa Delgado is such a person, and if allowed to ply his art, will drag Equador down, as Hitler did Germany.

One of most easily employed, yet subtle magic techniques is known as the “The Count”. It is easy, because it often does not employ any sleight. In fact, in a lot of counts the cards, coins, or other objects; are seemingly in control of the audience member(s). The underlying techniques behind the count are the magician’s use of language, voice inflection, physical expression and charisma, to manipulate the “marks’” perception of reality. The end result is the “marks” believe they have chosen or are in possession of something, when in fact it is revealed to be something else entirely. While a magician often employs cards, coins and colored balls, the court magician can use the same fundamentals of the count with legislatures, courts, national resources, and treasuries.

Rafael Correa, court magician has successfully employed principles of the count to sell the unsuspecting on his oil program:

On July 15, 2008, to the accompaniment of great fanfare and media presence, Correa along his stage assistant, Hugo Chavez revealed the plan for a joint venture between Petroecuador and Venezuela’s PDVSA presumably to increase production efficiency and improve Ecuador’s economic independence stance in the oil market. At a stock split of 49% for Venezuela against 51% for Ecuador, it seems that the latter is getting the capital necessary to improve their oil production, while maintaining control over their natural resources.

The audience applauds enthusiastically. Smiles all around.

However, when financial experts peer behind the Green Door and it seems neither of the players has the sufficient projected capital to perform the effect. (http://www.isn.ethz.ch/news/sw/details.cfm?ID=19249)
As any good entertainer, Correa the Magnificent awaits for the applause to subside, before proceeding to the next step. Chavez leaves the stage, for the moment, and heads back to Venezuela. Enter two more assistants, stage left. Iran and China apparently have arrived in the nick of time, to provide not only capital, but also market potential and technical expertise.

    Audience: “Oooooh! AAaahhh!”

There! Did you see it? Can you recognize “the count”?

Here is what lies behind the Green Door:

With 51% share in the joint venture, Ecuador maintains marginal control of its natural resources. However, enter Iran and China as investors. Both the Levantine and the Oriental are culturally hard business people. Not the sort given to altruism or charity.

So, where do the shares to be sold to these two actors come from?

Even at a less than generous 5% per country, the final distribution is Venezuela: 49%, China: 5%, Iran: 5%, Ecuador: 41%. In reality, Ecuador probably will leave the table with closer to one third of the total ownership (and minority control of their natural resources.

However, the experienced magician (Correa) never allows the audience to ponder this and moves quickly to the next effects: The “french drop” and the “Midas Touch”.

Stay tuned. The shows not over, and The Great Correa is just warming up!
