There is Always Hope but We Must Ask for It
September 6, 2008 We at ECrisis are astonished at how quickly weak willed nations, revealing the weakness of their own moral fibers, succumb with excuses and justifications and manipulations blazing, to the power of deceit and extortion, pretending that the French Vichy government of the 1940s was strategically brilliant to enable the Nazis. We disagree and believe that the heart and soul of a place is known for what it is and how it responds in good times or in bad.
Ecuador is inside a crisis of its own making. To be sure, its government is a criminal extortion racket and its supporters include the narcozone building George Soros- USA Democratic Party, also called US AID assistance in the Andes plus its own depraved human idiots inside Ecuador who daily reveal their commitment to dishonesty and manipulative living. This is not attractive. Add to this covert and overt alliances/marriages with the FARC, with the Russo-Iranian-Venezuelan intelligence operatives currently ruining the backstage across Ecuador, and you have an irresponsible and repressive explosion of criminality set and locked.
Today Ecuadoreans abandon their own morality and run away as Ecuador morphs into the Hezbollah-style proxy state it is becoming. Instead of standing united with global truth tellers, Ecuadoreans allow their churches, their businesses, their schools and the infrastructure of their own lives to be as dishonest as Rafael Correa's polygamous marriages with Iran, the FARC and Venezuela....and now Lula’s PetroBras.
Busily telling the USA how much Correa loves the USA, president Correa today demands that no new international or domestic business or alliances with his regime can use western laws, also called the CIADI arbitral system under the World Bank or even the UN's courts but must only resort to some undefined, opaque arbitral system operated by Chile's leftists for hire, sometimes called the unwashed NGO political chattering system. This is not law and order and is not rule of law. It is a running away from contract law and Rafael Correa's disgusting so called legal advisors know this. Just review their new deal with China: like Cuba, like Venezuela and like Iran, any contract disputes are perforced not to see the light of day nor allowed to enter the CIADI arbitral system but instead to be shunted off like a naughty little boy to the opaque Chilean chattering classes of errant thinking. Ecuador's government is now lawless and sustains no rule of law as it sells out its oil patrimony to off the books scoundrels and calls it good. We do not call it good even as illegal Chinese, fundamentalist Muslims and FARC transportation chiefs pour in to Ecuador where fake passports are cheap and human values are meaningless....because that is what Ecuadoreans want.
Know what you are voting on this September: it is a constitution that melds Ecuador's economy and military with that of Hugo Chavez and forms a new communist union of criminals in the Andes. Leon Roldos was ultimately- and finally- honest today- check HOY, when he at last stated, "El proyecto de Constitución es un fraude." Of course it is a fraud. The whole thing is a fraud, from start to finish and the vote on 9-28-08 must be cancelled.

Here again is the nexus of evil at work preparing to merge a once independent Republic with a criminal cartel out of Caracas, written by remnants of the old Euro REDS, check VANGUARDIA's opening story here.
And know this: Roldos is right: Correa's communist constitution is a fraud. Besides, it is not even a constitution but a manifesto but Ecuador's great legal teams do not even seem to grasp this concept that not one constitutional scholar was invited to help build a decent constitution in Montecristi because Correa does not want any challenge to his prewritten communist manifesto which he fraudulently has now delivered. Why do you suppose the dishonest pro drugs Soros actors were adamantly supportive of crafting a new Andean human chain for drugs transits and cartel runners? And why do you suppose Ecuadoreans have no honor to stand against this? Ecuadoreans are taught from birth to love fraud, love the manipulative and hide from reaching for excellence: it is the Ecuadorean way now and this is....ruinous. Ecuador is committing national suicide and plunging its own in to a failed state. This is what failed states actually look like in Correa's revered Cuba or the debauched Haiti where too many have no defense, no quality of life and today...no food. But Ecuadoreans think that charity, which they never exercise, is to be made fun of and have not once ever helped a single living soul and will not help these subcreatures of the Russo-Iranian nexus viz a viz Chavez-Castro's tender mercies, laid low by nature's elements:![]()

This then is the face of honor in Correa's Ecuador. It is also the face of Soros's honor, a virtue he, like Ecuadoreans, rejects as irrelevant today. We maintain that honor and decency is not out of fashion. And still we wonder what virtues are held so dear that a man would lay down his life to defend? Liberty? Justice? These are not manipulative items.
In a new and particularly poignant piece here, Carlos Alberto Montaner tells us why too many Latin Americans kill their own liberties: they are instructed to do so from the cradle onward. He notes, "the deficient moral and physical infrastructure that turns doing business into such an uphill struggle in almost all of Latin America and Africa. The Third World is an implacable machine intent on exterminating entrepreneurs. It is not that they are not born; they are smothered in the crib." That is right: Montaner tells us that these non-virtues are settled almost at birth by the dishonest fairies of self destruction and manipulation.
Ecuadoreans exhibit a reprehensible refusal to stand up for anything these days...neither feast nor fowl as the foul winds from Caracas and Iran blow over Cotopaxi... because there is nothing to stop los malos aires. Correa calls this fresh air. We say it will kill you soon enough.
The estimable Emilio Cardenas of Argentina writes here that Ecuador's democratic institutions are dying [assisted by the dysfunctional lack of commitment to functional democracy plus the buy out factor from Chavez's monies which makes it all to o easy to seduce unethical businesspersons and so called community actors]...and Insulza of the OAS looks the other way. We commend Emilio but he fails to realize that Insulza is on the job at the OAS precisely because he will always applaud the dark and not support the light of democracy. Insulza of the OAS is a Soros man, bought and paid for, and considers himself an avatar of the new way- the Chilean socialist way. We recommend that he resign.
Meanwhile, it seems that everyone is waiting for the USA to elect Barack Hussein Obama in some bizarre myth that with his take over of power, each and every neo communist and anti-liberty actor, sometimes called governance by NGOs, will breath the free air of their own undoing and run the global socialists in to high budget. Cuba, Venezuela and Ecuador hire more and more Obama friends to do their lying, also called propaganda. Russia waits for Obama.
But we remind that there is something about honor that is catching on. It may not last and certainly the Obama-Soros team is doing its dead level best to snuff this out today, following the playbook at hand scripted by Ecuadoreans who lurk in the shadows and revile anyone with the decency to actually perform charitable acts instead of shopping all day long. Ecuadoreans hate persons of honor and do all that they can to stop them. The Obama team today in the USA is doing a mighty job also to follow this playbook and bring ruin to the new girl on the political scene Sarah Palin of Alaska. While we do indeed admire full disclosure of all public officials, we hold sincere disdain for slander, libel and propaganda- hallmarks of the Ecuadorean morality while actually doing nothing. The dishonest Soros-backed Democratic Party political websites such as DAILY KOS and MOVEON.orgs' blogging mudslingers and liars have got nothing on Ecuadoreans who waste a lot of time backstabbing anyone who tries to do something meaningful even as they run away from their own responsibilities. And if you do not believe us....we ask, Where Will You be on September 14 for Mass? Too busy you say? Too afraid to be honest, you say? Are you so afraid of Rafael Correa that you will not join Bishop Arregi's call for open air masses or will you make more excuses and simply....go shopping to pretend that your life which has no meaning does have meaning while revealing the emptiness of your being by doing nothing and standing for even less? To Ecuadoreans, nothing is more important than the manipulation itself. And that includes actually living a meaningful life which all Ecuadoreans pretend today is meaningful because they can now live off of someone else's money while lying a lot to the world.
There is hope for Ecuadoreans. But their banality and irresponsibility as shallow, hollow shells of humanity today is so revered that we advise again that the entire society re engage as human beings first and drop their self destructive addiction to dishonesty, also called manipulative living and actually stand for something meaningful. There are three ways to do this: self education and recommitment to values or therapeutic work or spiritual reawakening or commitment.
We advise all three steps because the debauchery is so steep today in Ecuador. Besides, Ecuadoreans owe themselves a reawakening or they will soon enough find themselves in a Hezbollah awakening of their own making. Mankind does badly when it seeks to manipulate honor.
Carlos Alberto Montaner reminds us today that what is killing growth and honor in Latin America- this disease of dysfunction- is taught from birth, from the cradle. We suggest that the hand that rocks that cradle be stayed and rather than robbing the cradle of its innocence and its joy to be free, far better to -from the cradle- express function and hope and not what currently passes for cradle/family chat and virtues which are not functional virtues at all.
Instead of serving evil as a card carrying member of the Axis of Evil as presidente Correa does today, why not stand with an Axis of Honor? A different approach to this theme is here.
The AMERICAN THINKER today paints a story of what can happen in a nation whose geophysical replication is itself is seen in Georgia.
Georgia makes a stand with Western Civilization's highest goals while Ecuadoreans are taught to abandon them. The whole piece here tells the tale of what men can do when they must do something...or watch Western Civilization fail. The academies of men and the think tanks, the NGOs and the lobbyists regarding imperialist and dishonest Russo-Iranian acts of evil are not saving the people of Georgia. The European Union's delft handling of its own irresponsible refusal to stand for anything in the face of evil is shown in the brave faces of the Georgians who will not go quietly in to the dustbin of history. Were Ecuadoreans at all competent to stand up to the dishonor they themselves self inflict, they would reform along the same lines as the Georgians, who have not given up hope. Here is what happened last Monday:
Georgia's Human Chain Stronger than Russian Tanks
On Monday, Georgia came to a halt or, rather, it came to life. A massive human chain gripped the avenues of Tbilisi, the streets of Russian-besieged Poti, the squares of every city, the lanes of every village and the country roads that connect them. Maybe Russian Czar Vladimir Putin watched on television the human chain that will defeat his tanks. This is no maudlin deviation from this column's traditional realist analysis. It is a sober argument that Georgia's human chain represents the march of history from which Putin has kept his country.
The sky above Tbilisi threatened rain but loosed only a few sprinkles. People in other regions stood drenched. In the Georgian capital, people stood hand-in-hand from one end to the other of a long and narrow city. In some places, people covered the distance with outstretched arms. In others, the lines were five or six people deep. In some of Tbilisi's wider spaces, the crowd surged across the entire space. Georgia’s stirring national anthem, "Freedom" rang out along the route, punctuated by the horns of cars adorned with Georgia's white and red five-cross flag.
There were mothers with babies. A teenage girl sported tall bright green sneakers, a bright pink top proclaiming her as "princess," and an outsized-at least for her-Georgian flag. Older ladies in clothes fashionable twenty years ago joined the line, clasping hands with the kids. Dogs on leashes stood by their owners. Foreign workers from Africa and Asia joined. Ukrainian and Estonian flags drew big cheers. The people of Elit Electronics turned up with bright red T-shirts. Restaurant waitresses chanted, "victory." Tamta, Tamuna and Keti-from their nametags-defied Putin's fat generals. Police, mostly unarmed, roamed the crowd, but there was no trouble.
Priests joined hands with enthusiastic teenagers. More sedate youngsters prayed in Rustaveli Avenue before the Kashueti Church. Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgia Ilia II blessed the human chain, which wound up the hill to Sameba Cathedral. Inside Sameba, a power greater than any tank was in charge. With the serenity gained inside Sameba, gazing down the marble promenade, across the city, the reason for the hullabaloo was clear: Georgia won; Putin's Russia lost...
The human chain was not a funeral procession; the anthem, "Freedom" is not a funeral dirge. The girl with the green sneakers, the priests, the old ladies did not march like Putin's tin soldiers in a Red Square Mayday parade. They gaggled-proud, defiant and cacophonous. They celebrated Georgia the Georgian way. Under the gaze of Russian invaders-in some places, literally-while effete westerners dithered, they joined hands to say, we are Georgia and we will stop Russia.
The staff and volunteers of Information Center on NATO wore the best T-shirt of the day: "We are from Georgia's future!" Indeed! Georgia's human chain leads to the future; Putin's tanks lead to the past...The European and American response to Russia's war on Georgia was altogether inadequate-slow and feeble. However, in the sweep of history, the West is winning-and Putin knows it. The European Union and NATO are not drawing new lines on the map of Europe; the people of Russia's erstwhile empire are flocking to join these institutions.
In Georgia, people want to join the EU and NATO because they crave the freedom to be a nation, to preserve their cultures, to develop their economy, to live in dignity and peace-and to celebrate their patriotism as they like. Monday's human chain showed that these values are firmly established in Georgia, however, they preceded institutional membership. This is the nature of any profound transition, but it means that the eastward spread of freedom and democracy is a bit ragged around the edges. .. Make no mistake-tanks, bombs and occupation have real consequences. The west must now help Georgia rebuild, recover and join the zone of freedom where war is unacceptable. "
ECrisis asks often: what human chain stands hand in hand across Ecuador to promote and defend "the freedom to be a nation, to preserve their cultures, to develop their economy, to live in dignity and peace-and to celebrate their patriotism as they like"? Will you join the Russo-Iranian pipeline of evil of stand at last, hand in hand, with your brothers and sisters for honor? Freedom is not a funeral dirge and nothing to be manipulated...or run away from. In Georgia, the church leaders and every citizen knew this on Monday. The Georgian church leaders and all its people lived that elusive thing called honor these days. Ecuadoreans do not- they make excuses and run away from honor, losing all bonds of fellowship. By refusing to hold together, Ecuadoreans hold...nothing but false piety, fake humanity and willful negligence in their hands; not even honor do they hold but they do hold much shame.
Where is your human chain?
-Pedro Camargo for ECrisis
