November 9, 2008   ECrisis reminds our readers that these certifiably corrupt Andean con men, whose nations are overpopulated with EURO communists and Soros confidence men called "NGOs" swiftly provided by the U.S. Democrats for sub management,  named Ecuador's Rafael Correa and Venezuela's  Hugo Chavez run mobster-style confidence rings, not legitimate governments. Hiding behind the false veil that somehow their self enriching single Kangaroo party monolithic dictatorships are "democracies," these extortionists, in a racketeering cabal now, want you to believe their paid propaganda and lies that they operate with clean hands...to help the "poor." Peru and Colombia help the poor with sustained jobs and better education and even handed law and order. Ecuador and Venezuela debase integrity, lie, steal and cheat. Manipulation is their game and dishonor is its name.
 
The MIAMI HERALD writes that Venezuela is "an efficient network of corruption operating within nearly every level of Venezuelan government... [revealed by] many details of alleged bribes, commissions and institutionalized corruption through the sworn testimony of those who confessed their involvement." Our analysis confirms the total truth of this claim. No one however needed the over $4 million "Suitcase Scandal" to know this had they been honest with themselves. Chavez and Correa, in partnership now, run protection rackets. They are unregulated, dishonest hedge fund governments, open wallets for the Marxist inner circle long overdue for forensic audits, run as extortion rings like the old Italian communist Black Hand, later called the Sicilian-Chicago mafia or the Cosa Nostra.
 
We know that the level of perversion across the Andean bloc is deep and repulsively wide today because not once- not once- has any condemned this interlocking criminal cartel of nations now while each previously known so called citizen leaders run and hides or worse....sells his soul to the statist system, a la Faust.

Suitcase trial casts light on Venezuelan corruption

The Miami trial of a Venezuelan businessman, which ended last week with his conviction, provided a rare opportunity to examine the inner workings of an efficient network of corruption operating within nearly every level of Venezuelan government.

Franklin Duran was found guilty by a federal jury of having acted as an illegal agent of the Venezuelan government in conspiring to silence his former partner, Guido Alejandro Antonini Wilson, about the origin of $800,000 confiscated by Argentine customs authorities last year.

Few political scandals in the history of Latin America have ever produced so many details of alleged bribes, commissions and institutionalized corruption through the sworn testimony of those who confessed their involvement.

'COMMON' PRACTICE

The man with the key revelations was prosecution witness Carlos Kauffman, 37, a collector of airplanes and luxury cars who explained how he was able to amass a fortune of more than $100 million through illicit negotiations with Venezuelan government entities.

In a business partnership with Duran that invested and distributed earnings through a string of companies named after dairy products -- Leche Inc, Milk, Klim, etc. -- Kauffman and Duran soon became some of the most prosperous businessmen in Venezuela through corruption.

''It is common in my country,'' he declared while testifying that he paid kickbacks to executives of the state-owned oil company, PDVSA, in order to obtain priority in his purchases of raw materials for his motor-oil company, Venoco.

The maneuvers described by Kauffman began before President Hugo Chávez took power. During the mid-1990s, South Florida became a refuge for about 200 Venezuelan bankers who had fled allegations of diverting $7 billion in public funds to their own accounts.

Kauffman and Duran came up with a scheme under which the directors of the bank oversight agency created to administer the troubled banks, known as FOGADE, would trust them with investing the remaining funds in other commercial banks. The two received significant commissions from the banks, which they shared with FOGADE directors, Kauffman testified.

Duran's attorney, Ed Shohat, repeatedly argued that Kauffman was lying because Kauffman had pleaded guilty in the Antonini scandal earlier this year and promised to cooperate with prosecutors.

But the testimonies and evidence presented during the eight weeks of trial also painted a broad picture of influence-peddling, intrigue, bribery, kickbacks and other corruption under President Chávez.

THE INSIDERS

According to Kauffman's testimony:

• He and Duran paid a $1 million kickback to Tobias Nobrega, then Minister of Finance, so that the ministry would pay them $9.5 million for an office building they had bought for half that amount.

Finance ministry officials also helped the duo to restructure some bonds they received as partial payment for the building. The bonds increased in value through the maneuver.

Soon afterward, they made an even better deal with the finance ministry team on another bond restructure that earned them $100 million, of which $25 million went to Nobrega and his collaborators from 2002 to 2005.

• Jesus Bermudez, then deputy finance minister, got $1 million for his assistance with the restructured bonds.

• Lenin Aguilera, then advisor to the Minister of Finance, also received a $1 million kickback for the bond restructuring.

• Alejandro Dopazo, then director for Public Credit of the Finance Ministry, also received kickbacks for the building sale and bond deal. He demanded $1.5 million for his help.

• Victor José Medina, Orestes Arellano and Oscar Silva were all Venezuelan National Guard purchasing and financial officers identified by Kauffman as his main contacts with the military 1998-2001. They received bribes for purchases, then entrusted their money to Duran and Kauffmann for investment. The two received a 10 percent commission on the investments.

Medina told journalists in Venezuela that he was never in charge of purchases or finances of any kind, and that he only met Kauffmann on limited occasions and never regarding business.

• Julio Rivas was an employee of the Education Ministry's finance department. Kauffmann said he and Duran shared million-dollar commissions with Rivas in exchange for Rivas' decision to entrust them with public funds for investment in commercial banks.

• Johny Yanez Rangel, then Governor of Cojedes, received kickbacks after state budget funds were entrusted to Kauffman and Duran for investment. They duo also helped Yanez invest the bribes he accepted.

• Antonio Rodríguez, then governor of Vargas state, was involved in a similar investment scheme of public funds. Kauffmann and Duran paid him 50 percent of the commission they received for obtaining and investing Vargas state funds. Rodríguez is alleged to have earned $30 million through the scheme over some eight years, though he made payments to subordinates in the state government.

CHAVEZ IN ON IT

Prosecutors at Duran's trial also brought out some evidence that Chávez knew of the scheme to conceal the origin of Antonini's $800,000, which allegedly was to have been part of secret Venezuelan donations to the electoral campaign of Argentine President Cristina Kirschner. Antonini began cooperating with the FBI shortly after he was caught with the cash at a Buenos Aires airport with the cash.

• Moises Maionica -- a Venezuelan lawyer hired by the Chávez government to persuade Antonini to hire an Argentine attorney who would defend the Argentine charges of failing to report the cash -- testified that when Chávez learned of the scandal, he ordered Henry Rangel, director of the Venezuelan intelligence service known Disip, to pay off Antonini to keep silent about the source of the $800,000. Maionica said he was to receive $400,000 for his services.

• In an Oct. 15, 2007, telephone conversation recorded by the FBI, Duran noted that Antonini had sent a letter to Chávez through the Venezuelan consul in Miami asking for money in exchange for his silence.

''You went down a direct path to the president via the consulate. The deal went very well, but very bad at the same time, because, remember, when as you get close to the sun, you can get burned,'' Duran is heard telling Antonini.

• Duran assured Antonini that Tarek El-Aissami, then deputy security minister, was handling the issue of the $800,000 and both he and Kauffman arranged for Antonini to speak to El-Aissami over the phone. The evidence indicates that Chávez put El-Aissami in charge of silencing the scandal after it exploded.

For our part, we can no longer fathom the rationale of every sane nation on earth for lauding the sheer corruption of the Chavez-Correa-Morales bloc of corrupt nations. De minimis these thugs should be shunned in every way. De jure, each should be deemed a Drug King Pin under U.S. law before Barack Hussein Obama's astroturffing Marxist actors take over.

As every Ecuadorean Mama knows and teaches, selling one's soul for money and/or some perceived access to power is mandatory. Aided by Country Club Catholics whose moral fiber is about as tenuous as a dead dog, these useless moral mavens impress us with their urgency to delve deeper in to failed families, failed communities and failed states where making the best the enemy of the good is de rigueur and made holy. In fact, this is not holy but is the progeny of evil and must be rejected. As creators of failed and doomed nations, these Madres of mayhem play right in to the hands of the very thing underway: profiteering from dishonesty and civic strife and instability, called making lots of money for global speculators. However, the locusts of derivatives swaps have leeched off the Venezuelan-Ecuadorean dis-ease and moved on to Brazil now where Lula's derivatives-based economy will run the banking and hedging capitol of the brave new communist cartel, established now in South America in alliance with the Russo-Iranian proxy plan.

Across the United States, post election- is a clarion call for respect and loyalty to the new president of the United States.... president elect that is and complete disloyalty to George W. Bush. For a fact, we all know that the very inner group leader of the Obama team is the hate-selling George Soros who has spent billions in anti US, Bush-hating propaganda globally and across the USA. And now his chickens cry for respect for Obama and no hate campaigns because they are now in power....respect, loyalty and fealty.

This web site has repeatedly noted the distinction between even handed law and order plus free speech and statist controlled, manipulative government which, like a manipulative marriage, never produces anything good. It is one thing to be committed in practice to liberty under law, also called virtues of any Republic, and to the selling of deceptive politics with billions of dollars, as performed for Obama by Soros and his cabal. In fact, one of the few facts we know about George Soros is that he and his workers sell programs of hatred, virulent now against the Catholic Church, the USA's Republicans and anything that gets in Soros's way of moving his money offshore, hidden, untaxed and unregulated while allowing only a small portion as accountable for tax free donor status. Obama is a creature of Soros and is his proxy now. And Obama will run the USA as his inner group instructs him to do with his remarkable skill of assuring you and the globe that this is necessary because, as he soothes, any failure is because of you and any success is because of you. This is a deceit and a deception of course. But by lying to his adoring fans and making the general public wrongly believe that he is theirs and they are his, Obama has pulled off the biggest lie of all times. Like all good narcissistic manipulators....like any alcoholic, Obama makes you know that his failures are your fault and his success is your glory. Having just sold the American voters on his brilliant strategy that Americans can have something for nothing if they would just sell him their soul and his vote in a Faustian Bargain of greed, Obama comes now to tell us all that if his agenda looses, it is all your fault. Have you heard this before? Of course you have. Every day.

Further compounding the growing fearfulness across the USA that American voters were seduced by Obama and sold their souls and votes for some nascent US government check in the mail or pay off from the Obama team, is the knowledge that the seduction of America's souls did occur and how easily each is now seduced, willfully and with gay abandon. Indeed Americans - a tiny, very very slim majority now, did indeed sell out for the lure of access to either promised power or promised check in the mail...none of which are assured. But the embarrassment of the group fraud, the seductive scam did occur and this weakens moral resolve, bending it further and further.

Any American will openly tell you that GENERAL ELECTRIC's NBC media wing is an open propaganda outfit for the Soros-Obama administration. Having hired the bankrupt Soros-run Bush hatred selling AIR AMERICA team, a rare Sorosean financial failure, these propagandists have been running MSNBC and CNBC TV's Bush hatred selling propaganda for some time and will continue to leech money out of GE, itself a derivatives and hedge fund today with a slight activity called the NBC media empire, because their TV fans are functionally and statistically few and far between. So it is no surprise that pay back in gratitude for their lies and propaganda comes from the special favors bestowed upon GE with a whopping money add in from Obama's cash cow Warren Buffett of billions to prop up the AIR SOROS cable network of Obama propagandists. No sane investor would irrationally throw away billions to a Soros-Obama propaganda media machine that bleeds profits  but Buffett and Soros have no one looking over their shoulders and nothing but billions more where that came from. Their monied political support has brought Obama to this moment where Obama is the Soros proxy, his Manchurian candidate while lulling an adoring public in to their personal Faustian Bargain.

Why would Soros and Buffett be so supportive of another derivatives/hedge fund [now what GE does] that also runs a pro-Obama, pro Soros propaganda outfit [what NBC media has become]? And why are these actors so supportive of shutting down their competitors whose eye is fixed not on selling their products[mortgage backed securities derivatives and hedge fund profiteering from global instability, insecurity and hatred] while taking over what used to be called investment banking which today is more like an offshore hedge fund than anything? But these cretins of created greed are not alone. Watch Brazil's Lula in the coming weeks as he tries to tell the globe that his remarkably corrupt government will dishonestly lead the globe toward a new financial system, also called communism for the masses with huge self enrichment schemes for the speculative few at the helm like some Wizard of Oz.

The fact is this: men like George Soros, who is wildly dysfunctional and miserably narcissistic- as are all manipulative sods, makes money off other's misery without one single effort in his life to actually grow anything or serve mankind. Soros's efforts as population assistance is to support euthanasia and state funded narcotics and abortions with no questions asked. Soros's efforts to derail transparency and accountability are wide spread even though he laughably gives some chump change to Transparency International to look the other way while his own acts have never ever been transparent or accountable- ever. But wait, you say- Soros helps the homosexuals and transgenders. Indeed he does- or did- while they were useful. But we remind that outside loser nations like Iran and Burma, human and civil rights have been the law for over 30 years now so this is not the be all, end all of governing. But Soros's groups in the USA are now suing Catholic bishops- three law suits now even though the Soros team seriously supports pedophile priests in the church while Soros, the most influential power broker running the US Democrats now, himself claims to be a man with no morals whatsoever.

The American Spectator comments on the Soros NGO operatives- none of whom could legally become a US governmental employee because they could never ever pass a security review nor would they take an oath of office: " Phil Schiliro, who currently serves as the head of Obama's Congressional liaison team, and who is expected to be the Obama Administration's director of legislative affairs, was a chief of staff for Waxman, as well as policy director for former Democrat Senate leader Senator Tom Daschle, who is also an influential adviser to the Obama team. ... Called the "Obama/Biden Transition Project," it is a 501(c)4 tax-exempt organization, with no limits on the contributions it can receive and no requirements to divulge the names of individuals or organizations that give it money. ...No one is certain that any political organization has ever set up a tax-exempt entity that would be shrouded in such secrecy, particularly when Obama claimed he would be more transparent about the way things were done...., the "project" is intended not only to identify personnel for the Obama Administration, but to then send those project employees who know all of the senior staff in the various Cabinet departments and federal agencies out into the corporate and lobbying community to leverage those contacts. ...So, if you have a Project aide working on Commerce Department transition, that Project aide will be more likely to get a senior lobbying job because of all those connections at Commerce. That former Project aide will also be able raise more money for Democrats in this town and help others with jobs and such...the nonprofit may also serve as a haven for Obama supporters and campaign loyalists who for one reason or another can't be employed by the Administration or in the federal government. "There are some people who have been with us from the beginning who are clearly political liabilities or who won't be able to qualify for a job, say, because they can't get a security clearance," says another aide...Obama campaign officials say there is no intention of shutting down the 501(c) 4 Project after the transition is over. "

Obama, once a Soros-backed NGO operative- always a Soros-backed NGO operative- will illegally pay his NGOs through hidden US budget appropriations co-mingling with pay to play businesses, also called lobbying, and seemingly random donations- all tax exempt, following the same plan that illegally and deceptively funds the Soros -US AID-Obama operatives in over 100 nations worldwide today, liars all who report their hard work to grow democracy when they are in fact selling Marxist cartels, as is the case in Ecuador, Venezuela and Paraguay among dozens more. Soon these Trojan Horses will be selling you the same line that PM Brown, himself a Soros man, in England and Brazil's Lula, also a Soros man, will be selling: the world's finances are broken and we must fix this with more socialism for the masses while elevating the state monopolists' cartels for the few. And if you but approve their plan, you too can sell your soul and your vote like Faust and become a shareholder with the devil who does now own you. It is a seductive cartel which only wants your soul, your mind, and soon your money.

Obama's plan for the USA is not a democracy. It is not a Republic. It is a cartel of manipulative metrosexuals, owners all of Pandora's Box, who have no soul.

Today's TELEGRAPH of London writes, "Gordon Brown pledges to help create a fairer world with Barack Obama: Gordon Brown has promised to work with US President-elect Barack Obama to build a new fairer global society in which hard work is rewarded, families are protected and markets are governed by morals. "  Both Brown and Obama are sold now to Soros- a man who says he has no morals, only self serving interests, using his so called philanthropies to open new businesses for his family of interests. How then would Soros "protect families" when he himself sells transgender operations, same sex marriages and total global suicide rights and abortion payments?  How would such a team who just engineered the most massive national sell out of a nation's very individualism for some nascent future check in the mail, also called state socialism, "build a new fairer global society"? And how would Brown-Obama, proxies now for Soros in their own Faustian bargains, improbably and incredulously hand the world "moral" governance when they are owned by a self proscribed Godless man who reports frequently that he holds no morals and could care less? Meanwhile, Chavez and Correa are creating their own fake state religions, complete with fake feathers from China in colors that nature never created and with rituals never noted for anything but evil with no hope ahead.

We have seen how these cartels like to "reward hard work" - with state asset seizures, theft by the government, also called caducidad with gay abandon, and business-killing state taxes. Noteworthy in Ecuador is the state theft of OCCIDENTAL, Oldebrechts, Chevron-Texaco, the Isaias family businesses, the  Pinto family businesses and soon the Noboa family businesses, among banks and media companies and the list goes on and on with no end in sight, not even a whimper. But the message is heard loud and clear: pay to play, pay your bribes to the extortionists or else....watch your business die with no justice, no justice at all.

Typically, history's greatest discoveries are often followed by proclamations such as "What hath God wrought?"- that is, what has God helped us to do, connoting gratitude for the gifts of discovery and acuity. Politics are not religion and must not substitute one for the other. But a people do not long survive who hold no convictions of decent comity, camaraderie and even handed justice for the commonweal.

Fake morals under false religions selling fraudulent cartel governments where everyone gets something for nothing is to be not feared but totally denounced and  rejected. Something for nothing got many to sell their souls. Serving as stakeholders in the new government replacing Marxist cartels will insure citizen compliance. But only grace can lead you home now.
