January 27, 2009   ECrisis regrets that we have far too often called Ecuadorean citizens as "lemmings." They are of course- manipulative, childish and carefree, lazily transferring their God given gifts irresponsibly over to the state so that one and all can remain drunk, stupid and busily-hyperactively running around and signifying  nothing while worse yet- doing nothing whatsoever of any relevance. This is a socio-economic debilitation, sometimes called dependencia, which has been sold to the USA by the U.S. Democratic Party of socialism uber alles for the many with unregulated speculation and arbitrage for the few by our target de jour George Soros, who has been at this for many years. Recently U.S. News & World Report noted, "Welcome to Socialism 101. These scary people actually believe their own drivel or worse they are woefully ignorant about how economies work. This is what you get when hordes of non-voters are bused in to vote by commandment. Dependant lemmings vote in bad leaders."

And while we are offending our readers by calling them lemmings, we remind that across history lemmings are known for their group-think and utter ignorance. Notably, should one lemming decide to jump off a cliff, all the rest mindlessly follow suit and plunge to their death, as if directed by some brainless radar. Human beings are lemmings when they willfully ignore one of God's gifts- that of choice, which of course requires some end to the stultifying inertia created by hyperactivity of the vapid and a commitment to integrity in living rather than manipulative hypochondria, so well known to all Ecuadoreans in their vain glorious pursuit of ignomy. Here is a lemming:           



Lemmings are addicted to stupidity. Note the excessively small brain cavity. Brains are not needed by lemmings and in fact they have not evolved over the centuries. Like locusts, they subsist but do not evolve.  Lemmings only do what the herd does- no matter how stupid. All Ecuadoreans today are lemmings because they want to be. Correa, as dictatorial so called president, calls you to be a lemming and declares this as "good." He wants you stupid and you consider this blessed. We do not.
 
Today, the Opposition to Correa in Ecuador- that is what is left of it, bowed to the wise and wonderful stratagems we have been following rendered by the Banco de Guayaquil chieftain Guillermo Lasso in what is surely one of the most stunning dirty tricks against an entire nation since....Correa took the stage. Lasso has effectively enabled the final coup de grace and stabbed freedom lovers in the back by promoting the dissolution of the moderate political party in Ecuador. In a self enriching move to curry his expanding wallet and curry even more favor with his pet client, the U.S. Embassy in Quito, Lasso acts to do politically what the left cannot be seen to do: rip out free speech and democracy from Ecuador by crafting a monolithic single party state of cartel actors under Correa where no advice and no consent is sought or considered. Lasso is a traitor with dirty hands. We cannot fathom why that ridiculous U.S. Embassy has mainlined its preferred status on this idiotic thug.
 
Here from EL COMERCIO today is the end game- the end of free speech and democracy in Ecuador. Lasso and his bully boys have easily and without so much as a by your leave simply cancelled all opposition political parties in Ecuador and handed a win-win to Correa this April, insuring communism's cartel fruits for years ahead.

El consejo plenario del Partido Social Cristiano (PSC) resolvió no presentar candidato a la Presidencia de la República en las elecciones del 26 de abril próximo.

De esa manera, la precandidatura de Luis Fernando Torres, que fue anunciada por el mismo PSC meses atrás, quedó sin piso. 

Ayer, en una reunión en el Hotel Hamptonn Inn, en el centro de Guayaquil, primó la decisión de las directivas de Guayas, El Oro, Manabí y Los Ríos a favor de  no participar en las elecciones presidenciales. Esto, pese a que el resto de las provincias apoyó la precandidatura de Torres.    

Según el presidente nacional del partido, Pascual del Cioppo, la decisión se tomó porque el PSC “no tiene la estructura nacional suficiente para enfrentar en 60 días varios procesos electorales”. Por ello se decidió que el 100% de sus esfuerzos se concentrarán en ganar la mayor cantidad de alcaldes, prefectos, concejales y asambleístas.

La decisión también significa que el PSC no respaldará a ningún otro candidato para esa dignidad, expresó Del Cioppo. 

Luis Fernando Torres mostró su  desacuerdo con la decisión y dijo estar “desilusionado”. “Al no tener candidato se apaga el motor de la verdadera oposición...”. Torres expresó que esa resolución lo aleja del partido. Aunque precisó que no se desafiliará." 
 
While we understand that this move in Guayaquil was based on the realization that Luis Fernando Torres - a seriously honest man- remained the sole candidate who could have defeated Correa this April, this was not to be suffered. Thus, the deeply compromised and highly ignorant building contractor EL CHIOPPO agreed with every pro Correa U.S. activist and paid contractor that Luis Fernando Torres must go and that Lasso would emerge to lead free thinking Ecuadorians to safety.
 
While we are once again stunned at the sheer stupidity and rampant corruption of the paid team in Quito- all of them- to boost Correa, we are simply aghast at this latest tactic led by the US Embassy's pet fool and Lemming in Chief, EL CIOPPO [Sr. Pascual] of Guayaquil who would not know wisdom if it hit him on the head. But Lasso is their boy and they know well that having killed all opposition by deception yesterday, Correa runs unopposed and EL CHIOPPO's nasty little synthetic dry wall business with Correa's government and Lasso's opaque bank will continue their businesses with Correa and the United States.

We do pause here and now to express our gratitude to the U.S. Embassy for backing EL CHIOPPO and Lasso as has been the case for the last 5 years. The U.S. Embassy in Quito confirms our analysis that they are some of the stupidest and most craven of all political operatives seen in many a year. Worse yet, this seals the fate of freedom lovers in Ecuador- once again throwing liberty in law....under the bus in favor of cartels.

We must confess that we really had no idea how frightened Correa and his goons must have been by truth tellers and leaders of men -such as Luis Fernando Torres who is not a lemming. The tragedy is that with his loss, all Ecuadoreans and the United States lose and their loss is a gain for the axis of evil which they do now encourage.  We understand why the vain and vapid EL CIOPPO acts as he does- he is seriously compromised. But what we do not know is why the USA promotes these corrupt acts. Actively terminating any serious contention against Correa by simply dissolving the last remaining political party of democratic advancement is not only short sighted but truly illicit. EL CIOPPO is a fool- a greedy and vapid one at that. But Lasso reveals himself as a depraved and dirty banker. Iran, Chavez and the FARC are smiling today. We are not. This tragic destruction of liberty is brought to fruition because no one- no one at all- stood to defend freedom yesterday in Guayaquil and today in Quito. This is your doing and by your leave is your nation- what you made of it and what, by your hand, it is. And what it is....is today a place where democracy has been stabbed in the back by the previously known as defenders of democracy and are today seen as complicitous in promoting the criminal cartel state of Rafael Correa. We call all Ecuadoreans today and those who lead them forward as....traitors.
 
In one easy step, all opposition has been silenced now and freedom's end is assured. What we do not know is why the USA thinks this is a valuable expenditure of its tax monies to support the end of democracy and a vibrant political system to favor Correa's monolithic cartel system in Ecuador.
 
We urge the U.S. Embassy in Quito to cease and desist its support for Rafael Correa's dirty politics and the well hidden dirty politics of their pet banker cum dirty politician Guillermo Lasso and his morals -dead handyman named EL CHIOPPO. Shame on them - cowardly accomplices in crime... all.
