February 3, 2009    Ecuador is suffering from a soaring crime wave because president Correa's so called policies and his crime enabling so called constitution do not work while leaving security and stability in tatters. You know that Correa has legitimized all that should never be legitimized which means no criminal goes unappreciated in Ecuador these days even as all citizens are left naked with no meaningful law and order. Here is a vapid, almost useless notice that the U.S. Embassy issued the other day. It is notable that while benign enough sounding, the government of Ecuador did not issue such a warning to its own citizens and indeed they should to warn all that the government of Ecuador is broken now and cares nothing and will do nothing about soaring crime:

"The U.S. Embassy in Ecuador wishes to inform American citizens visiting or resident in Ecuador that during January 2009 the U.S. Embassy has received reports of two armed home/apartment invasions in the Gonzalez Suarez and El Bosque neighborhoods of Quito. One home invasion was perpetrated against an American citizen. In each incident, numerous armed assailants entered the private residence and violently threatened the homeowners with weapons. The assailants proceeded to rob the residence of electronics, jewelry, and other items of value...." Read it here.

Note that the US consulates suggest that they will contact registered Americans in case of an emergency. that is a nice offering but they forgot to warn Americans of the emergency that created this emergency: Correa's criminal cartel government which has abandoned meaningful law and order in lieu of childish, sloppy promises that Correa's new fake mandated state religion deification of the fake Pachamama will take care of everyone as long as Correa is able to extort Ecuadoreans for money and profit.  Here is Morales extolling the virtues of the same stupid communist manifesto now enjoined in Ecuador- errr what does the Carter Center dishonestly call it-? a great constitution for an alternative democracy. Here is Correa's constitutional clone in all their allied deification of Pachamama, the god of drug runners and dishonest cartels:

But Barclays Bank does not seem to put much credibility is Correa's scam of claiming that Pachamama just made him do it. In fact, Barclays Bank seems to think that Correa's team owns no credibility, acts with deceit and are essentially adolescent thugs running around hyperactively claiming injuries and slights like all good Ecuadorean hypochondriacs to sell false injuries to a co enabling public. Barclays will probably get  a huge cash settlement for their services as trader for the communist Bolivarians , especially with Correa for his bond market and derivatives betting crimes- crimes that is everywhere except Ecuador, Bolivia and Venezuela which have enjoyed rigging bond markets and oil derivatives for fun and profit. Barclays earlier claimed that Venezuela owed them over $1 billion due to the Chavez-Correa derivatives frauds which set Ecuador off on a desperate search for cash to cover Chavez and Correa's dirty schemes. No sane multilateral lender would gift this dynamic duo several billions although the CAF did hand over with no due diligence a few billions. Now Correa seeks a package of multilateral lender hand outs again of almost $5 billion. As with many nations now such as Iceland, Correa and Chavez have lost billions on dirty betting schemes which have seen Central Bank Reserves and national deposits raided to fund not only their off the books arbitrage but also their political electioneering funded illegally by the state to buy more and more votes. Multilateral banks are not in the business of refunding nations when their "sovereigns" steal from their own citizens and place billions in high risk derivatives and hedging bets....and lose. No one knows how much money is involved in these off the books, untaxed gambits of arbitrage but we do know that as with Correa's greedy and ruinous breaking of Ecuador's finances, these craven acts destroy society's assets and plunge poverty lines even lower. But because Ecuadoreans are so easily manipulated by their own families and president Correa, no one- no one at all- thought to insist that Correa be held accountable for his management and rape of Ecuadorean assets which clearly he has robbed and depleted. No indeed- Ecuadoreans are too busy salivating over Correa's lies that he will hand over lots more goodies in return for your vote. Something for Nothing is about right: Ecuadoreans sell their soul and abandon all adult responsibility to Correa and his total state in return for a bag of rice or the promise of free food, free housing, free jobs and free sex. So far you may be getting the rice and the sex and you have definitely lost your soul. Are you feeling good yet?

It took Chavez 10 years to take his 2nd tier nation to a failed state. Ecuador, a 3rd tier nation collapsed faster- in under 3 years it is gone to ground. Here is what selling your soul to Correa looks like for a new fake soul with new fake money:

Compare this currency dream of Correa's communist cartel: hyper inflated, unattractive, meaningless, criminally-backed by the Russo-Iranian axis of evil for "deposits" and you get a real sense of where Ecuador is today. Note too that the U.S. dollars state "In God We Trust" while Correa's money is not even honest enough to state that Correa's so called constitution has forced a childish state religion on to the people of Ecuador -a fake deity to worship which gifts all Ecuadoreans with what they want- the: human right" to be dishonest and manipulative under the state merger of fake kangaroo laws and fake religion. You get what you want and what Ecuadoreans wanted was fake money made for doing nothing, blessed by a fake constitution under a fake god. Feeling authentic yet? We do not think so. Currently thousands of goods are not able to be unloaded at port in Ecuador because Correa has raided all state monetary reserves and cannot cover any balance of payments due to his state theft. Currently Correa has broken all bonds of trade and will soon face the end of the ATPDEA free trade benefits, plunging willfully all trade with Ecuador in to the garbage can of history, along with thousands and thousands of jobs which will not come back for a very long time. All Ecuadoreans will live instead, as Correa has promised on $200.... a year just like his dearly loved Cuba. We have a better idea for these burglars in Quito: let them happily live in Havana and leave Ecuador alone to rebuild. We advise: fire Correa from his current job for incompetence and dishonesty, just as he has so been fired from every job he has ever held.

But before one more ridiculous US AID report is released to inform us all that Correa is fabulous and before one more lying, useless piece of paper is wasted to tell us all that Ecuador's drug king pin Correa is a wonderful ally in the War on Terror, know this: you have been paid to lie too long. While this may help Barclays off the books dirty money derivatives betters, it does not help fulfill the paid USA contracts which mandate reasonable truth telling, not seen at all in Quito for the last 5 years. It certainly has not helped Ecuadoreans. In fact nothing Correa has done has helped anyone but himself and his little cartel club of criminals and communists. Please go ahead and tell us some more how credible Morales, Chavez and Correa are- you have been selling this garbage for years now so please go right ahead and tell the U.S. Inspector General how you really feel because you have been getting lots of money to give credibility to Correa, now seeking massive pay offs to Barclays Bank for arbitrage with your money and your future.
 
Why is Correa in Caracas with Chavez? Because they are in huge trouble with their off the books oil price spiking dirty oil derivatives gambles which saw global oil double and has now returned to a more honest level. Correa and Chavez made lots of money betting against the USA and oil, driving up global oil prices because they stupidly believed this was a sane way to hurt the USA and Europe.
 
But Correa has forced the military of Ecuador to "manage" the failed and corrupt Petroecuador and has forced the military in to a volunteer military. Correa has concurrently married all of Ecuadorean defenses with Hugo Chavez's regional defense plan- that is massive weapons of aggression. We are hopeful that the U.S. Embassy in Quito has put an end to the dishonest selling of Predator Drones to Correa for his reselling money making scam of delivering intelligence to Iran, Russia and Venezuela. No word yet from that on the job crew there in Quito busily warning Americans that crime and murder in this lawless place is on the rise. To this we say: duhhhh. Why not focus on the crime occurring in front of one and all that Correa will not permit US goods in to Ecuador, breaking all trade agreements just as he has broken all contracts and bonds of comity? Why-? Because the idiots at the US Department of State and the US Democratic Party actually think that Ecuador does best as a criminal cartel for hedge fund and derivatives runners, leveraging Ecuador's reputation in to the garbage can of amorality and sheer stupidity. A nation run by sociopaths for sociopaths is not working. Even so, one and all must review the Ecuadorean-Iranian and Venezuelan concords, now taking the force of law in perpetuity.
 
You have one chance to end this dictatorship in Quito- you can vote this April to remove Correa. First you will have to insure that Correa stops bribing the voters and jiggering voter tallies- that will not be so easy but it can be done.  You an also insist that Correa break with Chavez and Iran and Cuba and stop spreading hatred of the Jews- which always leads to hared of Christians. As Ecuadoreans say nothing and do even less, know this: they come for you next.  We suggest practicing anti Semitism and ending your support for the War for Hatred. this writer lived too long to watch in your TELESUR affiliates his own son, a newspaper writer, beheaded for no reason at all. Mr. Pearl correctly reminds us all that normalizing terror, as Correa and Chavez are doing every day, does not further anyone but the sellers of evil:
