Rule of Law Replaced by Extortion Rackets in Ecuador

May 13, 2009  There is no rule of law in Ecuador any more. There are extortion rackets and there are cartels running the Correa administration. And there are lots of U.S. Democratic Party operatives, sometimes called paid contractors from US AID's American Bar Association's small consulting give aways for idiots and liars,  spending lots of money to pretend that Ecuador is a wonderful place when indeed Ecuador is almost as lawless as Zimbabwe and Lebanon.

It is stunning and horrifying to watch as some Ecuadoreans give way to Correa's extortion rackets because they claim that if they look nice to Correa's thuggery and do not say anything, the false charges against them will be handled in Correa's kangaroo tribunals in a much nicer way. This is of course a secondary extortion and far more internecine- showing the complicity of manipulative fools to deliver their own ruinous lives in a slow motion national suicide.

But wait you say: the United States has approved the president Rafael Correa extortion rackets and cartels. You know this because the Obama team and US Congresswoman Nita Lowey keep running more money to fake rule of law and so called democracy programs in Ecuador. And they tell us that all is wonderfully well in Ecuador. They tell us this because they are, even as we write this, seeking even more USA money and seeking to "partner" with targeted Washington, DC lawyers to expand their Money to Do Nothing scam and  to pretend that Ecuador is lawful when nothing could be further from the truth. Something for Nothing in the law remains a hollow, vapid emptiness.

US AID gifts the rogue outliers of the American Bar Association [ABA] unending money to pretend that they are building rule of law in lawless places when they do nothing but add more propaganda and actually harm rule of law. This is precisely the same tactic used by local Ecuadorean lawyers who turn their back on truth telling, an essential feature of any Bar, and pretend that lying is the best way to do anything. These lawyers know this because that is how they are trained today, how their wives and families demand their dishonesty, and how their nation insists they perform- with gay abandon to lie about things that they should never, ever lie about.

Here are very pretty words from the US AID-ABA efforts in Ecuador, full of sound and fury but signifying nothing of any consequence:

“Ecuadorian Criminal Justice Reform Efforts Marked by Renewed Support…
Criminal justice reform efforts in Ecuador have received unprecedented levels of support from in-country stakeholders in recent months…” Are they perhaps talking about the communist manifesto passed by the illegal-amoral constituent assembly?  The same document that gives rights to amebas and removes natural rights from humans?

We say that these efforts, however soothing the ABA/US AID language may appear, is a fraud because.... it is a fraud. Ecuador may tolerate these vacationing Americans and pretend to welcome them but el presidente Correa of Ecuador will not tolerate one single reform to his pathetic constitution and his opaque scribblings called new regulations and new norms which he produces with the speed of a Hezbollah infilltrator- constantly reproducing. Besides, Correa has sworn  total allegiance with Hugo Chavez's regional dictatorship plan and nothing, he tells us, will change his plans and nothing with alter his ruinous march to a failed criminal cartel. Correa's sell out is complete and his Faustian Bargain is now known. The US AID-ABA is lying to the USA and wasting good money after a bad end- covering over an enormously corrupt government of Correa-Chavez and Iran. There is absolutely no cost-benefit analysis of these pretty words from the ABA in Ecuador and no fact-based analysis that their shallow "dialogue" has had any impact whatsoever because it has not and will not.

The Correa regime imprisons souls at will, it steals from persons and companies at will, it controls all courts and tribunals and lies a lot to continue its wonderlust in power.  There are no liberties in Ecuador any more- just what temporary pass throughs one may have as gifted or extorted by Correa's extortion racket government. Correa's paid spies are everywhere- at every key hole now. And US AID/the US State Department pretends that their little conferences to support a non justice system in Ecuador will restore credibility? This is a fraudulent scam on the move and follows the precise model which has funded its failed predecessors, almost as if recycling US AID reports from Si Se Puede, Participacion Ciudadana and the hefty Esquel, all of which lived and breathed and had their being by scamming the U.S. taxpayer, claiming rule of law reforms while doing nothing of the sort except further enabling Rafael Correa's Alianza Pais to move Ecuador from an independant Republic to a full narcostate. The US ABA needs to give back its ill gotten money and apologize. The U.S. Democrats have just doubled Ecuador's gifts (also called appropriations)  from the US taxpayers- gifts to help Correa hide his crimes and enable more narco and human trafficking...and essential legal fraud.

The ABA states," These emergent leaders are a testament to the nation’s dedication to reform and are indicative of reform efforts’ forward momentum." This is simply, as with their entire report as above a lie- a dishonest claim. There is no law in Ecuador except the Correa- Chavez law of ruin. This so called Criminal Procedures Reform is a real scam- based on the 1995-2007 so called reforms of a welter of silly US AID funded programs, these "NGOs" keep recycling the same claims and same conferences. The fact is that US AID did indeed write and ostensibly reform so called criminal code and procedures some years ago which brought Ecuador its ridiculous paper-free e-justice system and of course led to Correa's freeing all drug runners last summer in this lawless nation where crime is off the charts and death is cheap and easy now. There is nothing that is dedicated to reform today in Ecuador but there are thousands of contractors from the USA who lie a lot about what they are doing. There is no momentum in Ecuador except falling off a cliff. US Congresswoman Nita Lowey is blessing an appropriations scam of and by liars. These people would not know rule of law if it hit them over the head.

The ABA also posts a cheerful review of Human Trafficking in Ecuador, dated 2004. This shallow analysis is not worth the money to print it. We say this because the review is only for 3 months, the Report itself states. The Report irresponsibly, following all well trained Ecuadoreans who are taught to actually be irresponsible, fails to review the thousands of young persons snatched from Ecuador for use by the FARC camps to harvest their new poppy milk....for their heroin trade. These are not recruits but stolen children. The ABA forgets to look at this. While approving Ecuador's so called legalized prostitution and porn and pedophilia empires, the ABA Report does credibly decry female forced prostitution gangs, which of course are now out of control, as always occurs when nations legalize easy sex tourism to entrap little children and further sex trade....and drugs....and money laundering and protection rackets. Correa's racket government does fake IDs , passports and credentials to grow illicit sex and criminal adventurism.

Ecuador desperately needs and warrants functioning, structural rule of law. Unfortunately, it appears that the Congress of the United States of America has chosen to fund programs that do nothing and help even less in a foolish effort to Make the Best the Enemy of the Good, while hiding the fact that Ecuador is a money laundering, drug running criminal cartel state today. The US AID/ABA version of rule of law reform is dishonest and dysfunctional while pretending reform efforts, hides the essentials of deifinable rule of law, even as the US Congress pours good money after bad to make their supporters feel happy in one of the worst abuses of appropriations we have seen for a long time. If this is what North Americans call a whistle blowing tale, so be it but to continue to throw money at this affrontery is the height of manipulative fraud.

Again- the speciousness of this ABA-US AID shallow effort is blatant: human trafficking is legitimized under Correa's 9-08 constitution which allows the state to declare any criminal as sheltered and any criminal as a voting resident of Ecuador, for a fee. Ecuador is kicking out the sole agent  for ending human trafficking- the US military and the US DEA from Manta which rescued hundreds- thousands- of trafficked Ecuadoreans run out of Ecuador along with Correa's drug running. But the ABA's "Tool Kit" ignores all this.

The ABA- US AID phonies write this:
Ecuadorian Criminal Justice Reform Efforts Marked by Renewed Support
Criminal justice reform efforts in Ecuador have received unprecedented levels of support from in-country stakeholders in recent months. For many years, the issue of criminal justice reform received little or no assistance from the public sector, resulting in a deficient justice system. But now, various criminal justice sector organizations are actively participating in—and even leading—the reform process. These emergent leaders are a testament to the nation’s dedication to reform and are indicative of reform efforts’ forward momentum. Read more »»

Essential to understanding the ABA-ROLI Ecuadorean plan is to review the antecedents of the US Congressional appropriations history for rule of law in Ecuador, a time line continuum and step by step review of the authorizing and then appropriating steps is easily available still yet if one overlooks much of the revisionist history at play yet. In other words, the ABA-ROLI contractors take money for supposed work based on authorized and appropriated money from the US Congress. ECrisis suggests a review of publicly available documents and authorizing and appropriating texts to understand why the US AID-ABA contractors do what they do and how.

ECrisis is not happy to have to call the Correa-Chavez domain in the Andes for what it is: an extortion ring, aided and abetted by dishonest lawyers and propagandists. Investors Business Daily wrote recently of the extortion tactics of Nicaragua and Ecuador, enabled by their paid so called plaintiffs attorneys in fake law suits which US AID/ABA calls "better prepared judges" currently either bribed, cajoled, and dishonest kangaroos of Correa's full control of Ecuadorean justice, which today he jiggers to self enrich his own cartel with a recent convert to Sharia law ostensibly considering an almost $30 billion fake law suit against Chevron Texaco in a fake court with fake facts, fake plaintiffs and fake justice. But the US Democratic Party keeps pouring money in to pretending the Ecuador has their special brand of justice which has gifted Ecuador with no justice- no justice at all.

ECrisis knows this next article is a bit off the mark, but we would be remiss if we did not point out that contract law remains essential everywhere, no less in the Obama White House busily handing over its power and prestige to pay back its political backers from the Soros derivatives speculative off shore world and the US labor unions which VP Biden dishonestly calls the large US Middle Class when it is not.

Chrysler and the Rule of Law
The Founders put the contracts clause in the Constitution for a reason.

As for  soaring murder, kidnapping, pedophilia and all forms of crime as experienced in Ecuador today in real time, know that no society stays functional without honest rule of law, not rule of socialist-communist fascists.

Here is a voice from the grave from Guatemala, explaining what a nation looks like with no rule of law- it looks like Ecuador and Venezuela: . Put yourself in this man's shoes for that is where your feet are.

-Pedro Camargo for ECrisis
