Ruinous Plans for Ecuador Mimick Other Failed States: Paid Andean Advisor Stiglitz Says Luck and More State Socialism is Needed
May 18, 2009 ECrisis has long lamented the slide in to ruination by the dynamic Cuban boy toys called Hugo Chavez and Rafael Correa, intent on creating a parallel to Zimbabwe's failed policies. Here is a sad but true account of what the Chavez-Correa plans look like: communist Zimbabwe commendably reported by the USA's CATO, aka why states that have nor hold rule of law nor functioning property rights cease to perform.
"The Cost of Zimbabwe's Continuing Farm Invasions
by Eddie Cross
Eddie Cross is a Zimbabwean businessman and a Member of Parliament of Zimbabwe for the Movement for Democratic Change..."
Following Zimbabwe, comes Correa's pet economic advisor Joe Stiglitz who says that his advice for Spain is to spend more and hope for good luck.
The following Spanish interview is with Joe Stiglitz, also a heavily paid economic advisor to Zapatero plus he is also advisor to Hugo Chavez, esp on their ALBA Bank.
Chavez claims they will have a new currency this Autumn. Nonetheless, Stiglitz is of course concurrently co-paid by George Soros on other numerous adventures and is also at Columbia University. He is also promoting the so called "new" IMF drawing rights- aka helicopter currency for new alternative democracies, also called Burma, Venezuela, Ecuador, and other unaccountable nations which refuse to permit the IMF to review their books and reject any standards. Stiglitz will advise the UN team overseeing the "new G 20" - IMF funny money. In any case, as to Spain, with over 17% unemployment, failed banks, failed state programs, etc....when asked why Zapatero's team has failed and Spain's economy is so bad, he says it is simply "Bad Luck."
Sobre el paro, "cuestión de mala suerte". that is....Stiglitz says "About unemployment, it is just bad luck."
Stiglitz, a close ally of PM Brown's own Soros man on the job in England- Mark Malloch Brown, asserts that the Keynesian state spenders do not go far enough in socializing. Stiglitz also urges Zapatero to spend lots more money now- a Spanish stimulus as it were....or seek funds [maybe from the EU or IMF- he does not say] for more massive spending sprees in Spain. We have seen Spanish stimuli before....we cannot recommend it. We do suspect that he has his "stimuli" following in Belgium...none of which we can recommend.
GURÚ ECONÓMICO DE ZAPATERO
Stiglitz cree que el 17,3% de paro en España es "cuestión de mala suerte"
To all the Chavezes and Correas stealing liberties and state funds from their own citizens with gay abandon now, we remind:
"A popular Government, without popular information, or the means of acquiring it, is but a prologue to a farce or a tragedy; or, perhaps both. Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives."
James Madison, Fourth President of the United States of America
We hope you will stay vigilant, stay well informed and know what you must do tomorrow and the next day. In the meantime, you could do what Spaniards should be doing: ask for those economic consulting fees back for vapid, socialist advice, which helps none. Spaniards would be better off with a gypsy fortune teller than Joe Stiglitz who schills for Marxist cartels.
