Yasuni Plan Sells Speculations for Fools

May 26, 2009    Here is Ecuador selling more foolishness to gullible buyers: this time dirty air shares on the Al Gore-George Soros-Barack Obama cap and trade speculative market. Never mind that this ginned up fake trading market will go nowhere as long as all of Africa, China, India, Ecuador and Russia continue to do absolutely nothing about their rampant spewing diesel fumes or factory emissions, blaming the USA where- thanks to the Clean Air Act almost all emissions that are left emit scant problems to any environemnt. But Ecuador cares nothing about this, joining the Waxman-Markey-American  foolishness called cap and trade, currently considered favorably by the economy-ruining Obama team.

But that does not stop Roque Sevilla from calling himself an environmentally concerned gentleman of honor. We have long wondered about his excessive tourist business to the Galapagos and their waste management systems. No doubt Roque wants eco-tourism surrounding this soon to be traded shareholder scam around Ecuador's oil fields. Why not just develop eco tourism and be honest about it? Why not simply do what all other nations do and preserve whole chunks of regions for pristine enjoyment of all? Why make a global shareholder scam out of what the nation of Ecuador is supposed to do anyway- be a good steward- not speculator? Here is the story from the USA:

Besides, if Roque were so concerned about attracting tourists- eco or not, he needs to consider how repulsive Ecuador is today where lawlessness, thanks to Correa's DISIP goons, is at an all time high as laws no longer exist to stop these cartel thugs daily harming one and all. But Roque does not seem to mind that no one wants to go to Ecuador because Correa has merged with Chavez and created an unsafe and disgusting place that actually hates Americans, unless of course they ignore Correa's cartel crimes...as Roque seems to do here. Besides, would you buy a used car from Roque Sevilla? A used voucher- an investment in a nature zone? This article reports, "...One of the issues that is difficult to handle in this financial crisis is to ask governments for taxpayers' money," said Roque Sevílla, a prominent Ecuadorean environmentalist who is on the committee in charge of the Yasuni initiative. "So that's a huge problem. That's another reason we're trying to go to the carbon market." Sevilla said that focusing on carbon could save Yasuni.

The 410 million tons of carbon dioxide that would avoid being emitted could raise $4 billion to $7 billion, Ecuador estimates. European countries could accept the Yasuni certificates as an equivalent to the carbon allowances traded on the European Energy Exchange in Leipzig, Germany. The exchange is a market for energy products such as electricity and natural gas, as well as carbon dioxide emissions rights. But such an arrangement is not allowed under the rules of the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, aimed at curbing greenhouse gas emissions -- a treaty the United States rejected. Ecuadorans say they hope this type of pilot project could be embraced under climate change rules to be formulated at a meeting in Copenhagen in December, Sevílla said. "

Let us be clear: there is no taxpayer money in Ecuador to be saved. Savilla needs to clear that one up immediately: Correa has drained the bank and no one knows where his criminals have taken all state monies. Second- no other nation is going to spend money in Ecuador with their own tax payer money except Venezuela, Iran and US AID of the USA and we are not clear any more what the policy distinctions are any more. But legally, none but Venezuela and Iran openly invest in Ecuador because Ecuador, under Correa has no rule of law, steals from its own people and all foreigners with gay abandon.

We also remind that the German GREENS, while intimately interlinked with the German Reds- communist-socialists- do not make up the entire body of Germans.

Yes- there are idiots in Europe who have installed the cap and trade carbon scam and no one in Europe does not know what a scam it is.

Besides, trees emit gasses and none less than triple canopy jungles. Raising up to $7 billion on carbon offsets from a body of land which emits greenhouse gasses is remarkable. Moreover, neither the German GREENS nor Roque Savilla nor Correa furnishes anything but ginned up data and no verifiable facts for their wild eyed schemes. Correa's government just lied a lot about legal bonds, lied a lot about Chevron Texaco, Occidental and on and on. Do you seriously think you are stupid enough to listen to more Ecuadorean lies?
