Truth Tellers Need More Push Back- Must Defend Life
May 29, 2009 Chevron Texaco has experienced its own future as symbolic of the greed and corruption not only of the Russo-Iranian -Bolivarian triangle in the Andes today but the sheer incompetence of its own team which continues to refuse to have and hold a quit claim on this ridiculous case against its own, relying on incompetent lawyers to save its company when they have done nothing to save Chevron Texaco except waste more time and spend a lot more money. This is no defense and this is no plan of action but is instead a failure to protect itself while pretending that it is doing all it can to defend its company when this is simply not true. This is sad because Chevron has done nothing wrong except look and act vapid for the last 6 years....and that is not a punishable crime. Worse yet, Chevron has refused to consider that they are in the eye of the storm, center focused as key target in a nasty hate-filled war of attrition against all that America is supposed to stand for but Chevron has determined as not necessary.
We believe that Chevron has finally learned its lesson in a very expensive undertaking to save itself and that lesson is: never ever try to manipulate truths when the law is on the line. Or at least we hope Chevron has learned this lesson. Because to date they are losing and will lose their entire company if Ecuadorean despot in chief Rafael Correa and his astroturffed goon squads of anti-capitalist minions of the U.S. Democratic Party and George Soros have their way- cheerfully raping what reputation and trust Chevron Texaco has garnered after years of buffoonish blunders as it has been raped by the socialist criminal cartel government of Ecuador and phony so called environmentalists who are not at all.
As a germane starting point, Ecuadorean lawyers for Chevron have crafted legal malpractice by pretending that justice will be done in Ecuador by Correa's uneducated kangaroo judges currently practicing Sharia law in a jungle town when no one- no one- has any justice in Ecuador.
Chevron Texaco has had and held numerous remedies and has failed itself to work these remedies leaving its reputation and its future destabilized and in doubt, which is precisely what the backers of liars like money making astroturffer Steven Donziger and Correa seek because this aids and abets their nasty oil derivatives speculations. But Chevron acted as if by sucking up to Hugo Chavez and every liar in the U.S. party of Democrats that they would have justice.
Justice in all things needed to stick to the facts and never play politics. Chevron, we believe, has returned to this basic essential.... sort of. And it is that tepid, inchoate first baby step toward truth telling that we hope will grow healthier and thrive because Chevron Texaco has done nothing wrong except engage in the fatally flawed strategy: Manipulators against manhipulators may seem helpful in the short term but no one at all wins in the long term and Chevron will never succeed with this pathetic and dishonest strategy that they can outmanipulate Ecuadorean manipulators who are currently praised and supported in full by the Obama administration of George Soros who help Correa's cartel government of the Russo-Iranian-Bolivarian evil doers because they hate the truth tellers currently existing in Peru and Colombia and they want the FARC networks to thrive. This is not good.
Today's AMERICAN THINKER reminded us of the great Hayek who warned about socialism's end to freedom, "In his book The Fatal Conceit: The Errors of Socialism, Friedrich Hayek mentions the sort of coercion ... [statism] promises.
`The question then is how to secure the greatest possible freedom for all. This can be secured by uniformly restricting the freedom of all by abstract rules that preclude arbitrary or discriminatory coercion by or of other people, that prevent any from invading the free sphere of any other. In short, common concrete ends are replaced by common abstract rules. Government is needed only to enforce those abstract rules, and thereby to protect the individual against coercion, or invasion of his free sphere by others. Whereas enforced obedience to common concrete ends is tantamount to slavery, obedience to common abstract rules (however burdensome they may still feel) provides scope for the most extraordinary freedom and diversity although it is sometimes supposed that such diversity brings chaos threatening the relative order that we also associate with civilization, it turns out that greater diversity brings greater order.' (pp. 63-64)"
Arbitrary justice- decided by puppet justice of the state and arbitrary freedoms decided by state controls protect no one. When, for example, Chevron Texaco is denied even handed justice in Ecuador, it is a glaring notice that no one is permitted even handed justice in Ecuador...not even you. Here from the media is a roster of activities backed by Correa's cartel scam artists to create harm to Chevron Texaco ranging from outrageous claims against the company for things it did not do to setting up and carrying out phony propaganda wars against its shareholders, thanks to Hinton Communications and the Donziger-U.S. party of Democrats machine which for some unknown reason seems to act here as if it is all right to abuse justice, deny integrity and support this specious law suit as long as the plaintiffs- aka the government of Ecuador and Donziger's law firm cum fake NGO in the USA- get lots of money and keeps on gifting the U.S. party of Democrats. No one in the USA should support this legal scam against Chevron Texaco brought by the Correa-Donziger party of liars unless and until a full, independant verifiable forensic audit of Petroecuador and the current Correa governmental accounts and activities is on the table. And when we say that no one should support this specious claim against Chevron Texaco, we include in this: NY AG Andrew Cuomo, the U.S. Embassy in Quito and all its Soros-laced contractors crawling around Ecuador plus the Obama administration who still need to revoke then-Senator Obama's formal letter of support for Correa's bastardized miscarriage of justice called his state support for this wildly dishonest case against Chevron Texaco.
And when we say that the U.S. party of Democrats has abused public monies to assist in building this specious law suit against Chevron and that Chevron said nothing about this scam, it is because here are scores of Congressional- State Department case-rigging photos such as this one of Congressman McGovern, himself an anti Plan Colombia/pro FARC-pro Chavez and pro Correa propagandist, seen 11-08 enabling the Correa-Donziger money making phony case against Chevron:
McGovern Ecuador Delegation:
Town hall meeting - Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) at a town hall meeting in Lago Agrio, Quito, November 10, 2008
The leftist Financial Times says Chevron expected to come under fire over lawsuit in Ecuador
And we say that Ecuador and Venezuela are in bed with Iran in every polygamous and criminal adventure, and the the co-owned by Chavez Iranian news tells the world: Ecuador will shut US base, expand Iran ties.
Our reading of this non factual FINANCIAL TIMES article raises even more problems. We all know that when a case, such as the so called plaintiffs case against Chevron is spending so much money to wage a propaganda war- a war of attritrion- against a company with no facts....the case is in trouble. The case should be in trouble: it should not be even considered since the claims are so wild eyed and goofy. But that has not stopped Chevron Texaco from retaliating with its own propaganda war of sorts. While we applaud the company for trying to get the facts out, they continue to pretend that their own lawyers are fabulous and that Chevron Texaco will one day have full justice inside Ecuador when nothing- nothing could be further from the truth. Chevron fails to accept that in this war of attrition they are up against their own US Democratic Party backed liars and propagandists who care nothing about the facts and everything about creating instability and causing harm to U.S. companies based on fake data.
Chevron need look no further than the gross dereliction of duty by not only President Obama's team but the very same Soros-backed team that funded Spain's Baltazar Garzon to create a massive Spanish cottage industry where every idiot in the universe can file claim against anything as long as fees are paid for the great Inquisitor in Madrid to act to harm anyone for a fee. Chevron's own chief legal counsel is perversely charged by this dominant factor of the U.S. Democratic Party's own Soros groups who aided Baltazar Garzon for two years to prepare his hate filled money making case against what they call the Bush 6 for crimes they did not commit. The same non justice is at play with the same Obama-U.S. Democratic Party leadership which backs the ridiculously dishonest claims against Chevron Texaco.
This case in Ecuador needs to be thrown out for 2 reasons: there is no impartial justice extant in Ecuador today and moreover there still exists no independent forensic audit as a baseline of PetroEcuador and the Correa government accounts. Nothing in this case has a baseline until this is achieved, a feature which apparently has not been considered by the incompetent domestic attorneys for Chevron who have profited from boxing this case inside Ecuador for fun and profit, now being heard by a recent convert to Sharia law thanks to the rising tide of Hezbollah propagandists in the Andes, currently impacting even judges in Ecuador.
But Ecuador's system of justice, itself profoundly manipulated by Correa in all things today, never ended its practice of civil law- a series of proofs before one judge. Chevron is charged guilty until proof of innocence and this too is a system of justice rife with massive problems, also the current practice in all Latin nations, Africa and of course the ICC court of the Hague. That Chevron Texaco, in its unending de facto support by its own domestic counsel failed to denounce Ecuador's manipulative and dishonored civil law practice as Ecuador prefers denying common law- contract law, and this is beyond our understanding. But lazy is as lazy does and laziness and arrogance when death is on the line never helped anything.
For our part, we wish Chevron Texaco godspeed and good sailing in to the squalls. But they have a perfect storm of disaster they are heading into. What we do know is that Chevron Texaco will look utterly duplicitous should they take current advice- and pressure from idiots- and do some deal with Correa's Iranian -Venezuelan regime, currently trying to corner the market on global oil and gas. But Chevron's Mickey Kantor does not seem to know this as he opined to the NEW YORK TIMES in some debasing comment that deals could be had which we do not believe. There is only one deal for Ecuador with Chevron: drop this specious and ridiculous claim now. Quit this 15 year old witch hunt. Chevron pushes back? We hope so. They seem to pretend that the Russo-Iranian-Chavista global oil cartels to hurt the free world is not of their concern when this is the very thing creating this specious law suit against Chevron, which has a primary obligation to its public to do, for once in the ridiculous lawsuit, the right thing. But Chevron's own domestic fight has no concern for anything but racking up more and more legal hours in a law-averse stalling tactic, benefiting only their law firms and lobbyists.
Refusing to detail who and what is financing the Correa-so called plaintiffs case against Chevron Texaco reveals the sloppiest, most incompetent legal advice we have seen for a very very long time. We say it again: a full, independent forensic audit of Correa's finances and Petroecuador is mandatory for understanding this case and that includes a full accounting of the 16 years of the so called non profit group which has lived high during these years to sell the current series of fake claims against Chevron Texaco which still yet has done nothing wrong except to retain some of this world's stupidest, most incompetent lawyers who have yet to stop this case because they refused forensic audits and to know who and what their opposition remains. The United States of America's embassy in Quito thought that it was just great to ignore the facts about this case and indeed enabled the gross malfeasance and injustices underway, not that anyone did much except the U.S. Democratic Party's operatives of pro FARC, anti Chevron supporters, paid through U.S. tax payer monies commandeered by U.S. Speaker Nancy Pelosi's Soros hate agenda-furthering activists, blew in and out of Ecuador to assist, enable and manipulate all supports for this specious racket against Chevron Texaco. Not one word- not one word did any from Chevron or anywhere utter against this abuse to rig a case against America's 3rd largest company occurred as U.S. tax dollars were illegally spent to support a specious law suit against an American company by the U.S. party of Obama, whose ties to so called plaintiffs goes way back- even to the point where as U.S. Senator Obama essentially lobbied on behalf of the liars, also called plaintiffs, in this case. Obama needs to apologize and retract his formal letter spewed when he was a U.S. Senator. And still none have requested this. Why?
INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY has done a superb job of following this case, more than any other newspaper: Big Oil Bites Back
We at ECrisis could not agree more. Chevron Texaco fails itself when it fails to tell the truth- the whole truth and nothing but the truth, helped by God almighty. We agree with the IBD: defend life. Defend truth tellers....and stop playing games. Like the abortion hand outs, the metaphor is accurate- life as a whole is under assault by lying, useless minions of dishonor and dishonesty called criminal cartels, also called mired in their own narcissistic criminality best seen as a Faustian power bargain grab with the devil, placing the normative concerns of governments and justice squarely in the hands of fake, rather non extant justice.
If the above newspaper is right and Chevron's own shareholders want the truth to will out and stand to defend their company, we applaud. We hope they informed Kantor that extortion- and paying terrorists bribes- is illegal and not a policy or practice they support. The US FBI can also hand Mickey Kantor their Memo on why bribe paying and extortion racketeering is still a crime. The U.S. FBI can also distribute this across the entire gaggle of Soros supporters for Rafael Correa, called the U.S. Democratic Party. We hope that Chevron's lobbyists and general counsel-contractors stop pretending that they know what is best and that their opinions matter more than those for whom they work: the shareholders, in this instance defending Chevron, trying to help retain real time jobs for their employees, and insisting that extortionists will not succeed. They are the real heroes of this story and we hope that their own so called defenders start defending them and what they stand for.....and stop selling them out in the new specious law suit which should not be heard inside Ecuador. In this, as we say, we wish them godspeed in their efforts to stand up against a mighty well funded juggernaut of criminal enablers and extortionists called the Andean triangle which they have ignored, even as has the U.S. governmental fools, for more years than is healthy.
