Hondurans Petition OAS-Soros-Clinton-Obama-Chavez-Correa to Stop Lying and to Defend Democracy and Rule of Law: Team Obama Refuses

July 8, 2009   Honduras has been a battleground for a structural change to its own nation's democracy by outside forces, armies of the night, who have been waging a very expensive internecine war of attrition against democracy and fundamental truthtelling to install formally a narcostate, called ALBA nations.

Why the Obama administration thinks this is a good idea is contrary to truth telling. Why Chavez and Rafael Correa of Ecuador think this is a good idea is obvious: they are fascist-statist, alternative democracy [also called dishonest communist] cartel drug king pins now and want their regional support to grow.

Indeed, Rafael Correa is a racketeer and he has exposed his criminal acts inside the USA, notably to terrorize the people of Honduras from his staging and plotting ground zero center at the Ecuadorean ambassador's residence in Washington.

As word got out- and the Obama and Clinton teams knew of this but did nothing to dissuade these illegal acts which they supported, more and more awareness of the USA's role in delivering materiel and financial support to the Chavez-Correa thugs grew.

Bloomberg News reports, "U.S. Ambassador to Honduras Hugo Llorens said the U.S. had no “evidence of any links” between Zelaya and drug traffickers, a claim made by interim government Foreign Minister Enrique Ortez. "

Llorens, who used to be decent but is not any more, is a liar. Honduras, thanks to Zelaya, is swimming in drugs. ALBA-FARC drugs and drug money as crime- drug crime- has soared. By gagging the US FBI, ICE, DoD and the DEA, Llorens feels safe to say that there is no evidence. There is evidence and Llorens is criminally ignoring the facts to persuade humanity that the ALBA-FARC drug legalizing constitution of Zelaya is fabulous when it is not. Hugo Llorens needs to be fired.

After spending a lot of USA money to lie to the public and the media, after spending tens and tens of millions inside Honduras to aid and abet a five month long support network to build the ALBA take over of Honduras through U.S. Department of State for Soros-aligned pro drugs actors, and after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to gin up a fake end run through the OAS and Insulza to craft organizational lies and abuse of Honduran facts, the facts are now getting on the table. But it seems that no one told the USA's Obama who chirpily and stubbornly repeated his overly scripted talking points, themselves devoid of facts,  to tell the world while in Russia that he supported drug running, anti-democracy Zelaya just because he was once elected openly in Honduras. Obama failed to even review the facts that Zelaya has for years now been aiding and abetting traffickers of all sorts through Honduras and has committed grievous crimes. Never mind that, says Obama, he was once elected. Well- Castro claims he was elected once...and a hundred times over by false means and a one party communist system which to Obama legalizes Castro. Castro needs to go and so too does Zelaya. We are thinking that Obama needs to depart as well for failing- stubbornly failing- with all his resources and all his over paid NGO actors who swim around his White House daily, to state the facts. Indeed, Obama, like Correa and Chavez- to their discredit- ignore the facts.

But Rafael Correa holds a special role in all this. From his embassy, he staged a series of illegal acts, he staged a series of lies to the media and he co ordinated illegal fly overs by Venezuelan jets and he broke all OAS, UN and US plus Honduran norms. Correa did this in coordination with Chavez, Castro, the Kirchners, the OAS, the USA and LuGo of Paraguay. Correa's crime is not just lying publicly nor just abusing Ecuadorean taxpayer plus USA tax payer monies. No- his crime was staging illegal fly overs of Honduras, buzzing their capitol and willfully ignoring the Honduran no fly zone. Correa cared nothing about this and abused the United States which he knew would gift him with protection, with more money, with security services and with free access to the media and sensitive secured transmissions to lie a  lot to the public and Honduras. In other words, Correa staged a covert ops assault on Honduras with US blessings.

President Barack Hussein Obama of the USA has a lot to answer for as he still proclaims that Correa is his friend and ally. Obama has a lot to answer for as he sends more money to Correa which is illegal and undeserved for what is called an ATPDEA trade extension.

Correa belongs in jail as a drug king pin. He certainly should be indicted as same. Correa has illegally used his high office to coordinate and stage a terror ops against Honduras from inside Washington, DC. Correa, with the assistance of the U.S. Democratic Party, has ripped open Pandora's Box and what has been transpiring for the last 8 years in Latin America and only recently in Honduras is now revealed: lots of USA money and prestige has been supporting the worst kind of governmental takeovers by drug cartel style governments.

Thanks to Florida based BABALU for this from Tegucigalpa:

"HONDURAS IS THE EXAMPLE FOR THE WORLD. WE HAVE NO OIL, WE HAVE NO DOLLARS, BUT WE HAVE BALLS."

Obviously, Obama and Insulza-Soros have no regard for folks who have cojones, preferring as they do girlie-girls and neutered, vapid malleable actors of the opaque nights. But Hillary Clinton apparently does not want this cover ripped open any more and she has been tasked with protecting Obama-Soros-Dan Restrepo-Chavez for their illicit acts of late. She wants to wash her hands, a la Lady Macbeth, of the Soros-Obama-Insulza-Chavez-Correa end game which has cost the USA lots of money and its prestige as a decent government. What the Obama team has done by supporting the anti-democracy efforts in Honduras, which they brazenly lie a lot about and still call their craven acts disingenuously as building democracy [itself a crime to lie to the U.S. Congress]  is now known. And Hillary wants this out of Washington. Her teams to lie a lot about Zelaya at the OAS, in partnership with Insulza have failed. The OAS broke its own democracy charter on July 4, 2009 and has spent millions also of its own money to build more communism in Honduras. Most of its money comes from the US taxpayer anyway and Mrs. Clinton knows this. Most of the anti-democracy actors in Honduras are funded jointly by the OAS, by the USA and by the Chavez-FARC monies. And they have been criminally complicit in a terrible destructive series of behaviors against a tiny nation. Some see it like this:

Here is Mrs. Clinton, like Lady Macbeth, trying desperately to wash her hands of her own criminal involvement by passing the Zelaya problem off to Oscar Arias, who of course has no legal authority to do anything. Clinton's act at hand washing can apply all the germ killing agents she has....but she will never remove the stain of her own complicity and money spent to harm Hondurans, pretending to protect them from the harm of communism while in fact building criminal cartel communism. By trying to pass the buck to Arias because the OAS fell down due to its rampant Liars Club on 7-4-09, Mrs. Clinton tragically has left mentally Zelaya free to scream and with gay abandon shout for more protests and more violence in Honduras today. Oh, thanks Hillary for continuing your support for destabilizing and bankrupting a little brave nation which knows a drug runner when they see one even though Hillary, Obama and Llorens lie about that too. She needs to be fired:

Mediator Chosen for Honduras
Costa Rica's Óscar Arias, Nobel Prize Winner, to Help Settle Leadership Dispute

By PETER SPIEGEL and JOSé DE CORDOBA
TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras -- Costa Rican President Óscar Arias will mediate talks beginning Thursday to resolve Honduras's political crisis, in an effort spurred by the U.S. to stave off confrontations between deposed President Manuel Zelaya and the provisional government that ousted him.

The U.S. also strengthened its support Tuesday for Mr. Zelaya, who was forced into exile by the Honduran army on June 28. President Barack Obama called for his restoration and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met with him in Washington.

Mrs. Clinton said both sides had agreed to work with Mr. Arias, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1987 for brokering an end to civil wars in El Salvador and Nicaragua. She called him "the natural person to assume this role."

Talks will begin Thursday in Costa Rica, Mr. Zelaya told Honduran radio. It was the Obama administration's idea to bring Mr. Arias in as a mediator, said a senior U.S. official briefed on the diplomacy.

Mr. Arias could help the U.S. try to find a solution in which Mr. Zelaya returns to his post temporarily. Political parties here also have discussed moving up presidential elections already scheduled for November.

But a solution could prove tricky, with Honduras's political establishment opposed to Mr. Zelaya resuming his post for any period.

Honduras's acting president, Roberto Micheletti, applauded the designation of Mr. Arias and said, "We are ready for dialogue," but added, "Only if it's about President Zelaya's surrendering himself to the tribunals of justice, and not about his return." He told reporters, "No way."

Washington has sought to make clear it prizes democratic principles by quickly condemning the coup and throwing its weight behind Mr. Zelaya, though he is a leftist ally of Venezuela's Hugo Chávez and a frequent critic of the U.S.

Mr. Obama, in a speech in Moscow, publicly backed Mr. Zelaya's reinstatement. He said that even though the U.S. may disagree with Mr. Zelaya, it supports his restoration. "We do so because we respect the universal principle that people should choose their own leaders, whether they are leaders we agree with or not," Mr. Obama said.

Critics of the administration say the U.S. is making common cause with Mr. Chávez in trying to restore a man who alienated much of Honduras's political class by trying to revise the constitution to stay in power. Mr. Zelaya's ouster came on the day he planned to hold a referendum on the matter, a vote declared illegal by the country's top court.

Mr. Zelaya staged an attempt to return to Honduras Sunday, circling the airport in a plane that failed to land because the runway was blocked by Honduran army vehicles. That bid ended in violence and the crisis's first fatality, a young man who was shot as a crowd tried to tear down a fence surrounding the airport.

Mrs. Clinton said she had urged Mr. Zelaya not to try to return home again before letting Mr. Arias begin his efforts.

Mr. Zelaya's wife, Xiomara Castro de Zelaya, has been living at the U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa since the coup. Speaking on Honduran radio on Tuesday, Mr. Zelaya told his wife he thought she could go home, but she replied that she had talked it over with the U.S. ambassador and decided she would stay put.

On Tuesday, she marched with thousands of demonstrators who carried a simulated red-splattered shroud symbolizing the protester killed Sunday. The marchers, many of them members of the teachers and government workers unions, pumped their fists and shouted leftist slogans from the 1970s.

Meanwhile, thousands of opponents of Mr. Zelaya gathered at a park, decorated with large papier-mâché figures of the deposed president's allies, including Fidel Castro and Mr. Chávez.

The Journal bizarrely calls any Arias solution as "tricky." That is an understatement. Tricky? The tricks have rammed right up to the face of truth tellers about Honduras and Clinton, Obama, Soros, Chavez, Correa, Zelaya and the FARC to date have lost. Because, as we all know, these armies of the night cannot track honor and honesty nor will their lies win the day. But Mrs. Clinton has not denounced her own role in all this nor have any of these busy body actors, hyperactively and desperately trying to convince the world that theirs has been an honest love affair with Hondurans when in fact theirs has been a clandestine rape. Rape, we remind, is not love.

Of course Tegucigalpa will suffer plane loads of well paid protest groups. They are pouring in to Honduras. Obama's own ACORN has changed its name and is up for hire now for anyone who will pay them, including the USA because Soros backs them up. Need a protest to gin up a fake little war of attrition? You can count on pro communist groups from the USA such as Acorn to take your money. This is also helpful when trying to gin up fake rallies and protests to change laws and kill companies so one can take them over. This writ large is being done to Honduras who must must must state openly that no one from the USA is welcome to build anti democracy acts even though tens and tens of millions from the USA is being spent on this today...just as it is in Ecuador. This is not legal development money.

In all of this, the lazy media continues to focus on one feature of Zelaya's ALBA constitution- his capacity to retain power . That is not the only item in hundreds of pages of new alternative democracy constitutional overhaul devised with the USA's support. Indeed the entire proposed ALBA constitution for Honduras legalizes all that should never be legitimized as has been the case in Bolivia, Ecuador and Venezuela. The USA continues to lie that it is only about term limits and refuses to state the facts because the USA has helped build this cartel because George Soros is their man now. We say: no mas.

Rafael Correa on Sunday knowingly and illegally baited the Honduran military and set up a string of illegal threats and acts. Fortunately, Honduras did not take the bait. And Correa's illegal, adolescent assault on international norms fell apart. But he has not stopped trying- nor will he because he never stops. For her part, Hillary Clinton has established structural instability in Honduras first of all by her direct funding for the Chavez-Correa cartel take over support efforts and now by not stating the facts about Honduras and passing the problem off to Arias. Hillary has seen the disease, refuses to diagnose it and fails to deliver real treatment. Her refusal to defuse and prevent more chaos is seen in her refusal to be honest about Honduras which is now like a cancer patient passed off to a state run clinic in Costa Rica for care.....with no facts, no integrity and a lot of criminal cartel actors still  waging internecine wars of attrition against the truth.

With no caveat and no base line for the Arias talks on Thursday, nothing good will come of this. It is one more chapter in the stupidest, most incompetent mismanagement of Honduras that we have ever seen. And the U.S. Department of State, no doubt relieved that Hillary got Zelaya out of Washington, still looks complicit, dirty, irresponsable and is quite frankly still hiding a lot... and lot of its own dishonesty and disgustingly aberrant efforts to remove law and order in Honduras which it is still de facto doing.

Hillary and Obama had a chance to Come to Jesus, as the Pentecostals say and rely on the facts and support the facts about Honduras. She and Obama would not do this....they did not Come to Jesus, as the expression goes. There was no honesty in their behaviors. And Honduras will be ravaged because of this. It is impossible to stand long against the USA, the OAS and the FARC, now aligned in evil.

Indeed, Ortega, Correa and Castro-Chavez are still threatening to move, now aligned to deliver serious evil. Ortega claims his own military support to re insert Zelaya to Honduras. While Hillary may not want the USA to be seen as supporting these illegal acts, she has done nothing to stop this. Hillary is in real trouble and she knows this but....she just cannot bring herself to honorably do the right thing about Honduras and for this, she is a failed Secretary in all ways.

Here is a superb petition. You can go on line and sign this. You should have done one about Correa long ago....and still can because Correa has been plotting to kill democracy in Honduras with your money and still yet waits in the shadows to do even more:

PETITION FROM THE HONDURAS' PEOPLE TO PRESIDENT OBAMA.

To:  President Obama
President Obama:

The undersigned strongly request that you give your support to the democratic government of Honduras, i.e., the current President Roberto Micheletti, and withdraw US support from the attempted coup, that is, the violation of the Honduran Constitution by the deposed ex-president Manuel Zelaya. By this action you will give US support to the overwhelming will of the people of Honduras and to respect for the Honduran Constitution.

It is true that Zelaya was forced to leave the country by the military, but this was not a coup, when the military were acting on direct orders of the Honduran supreme court, with overwhelming approval of the congress, including Zelaya’s own party. And the reason for this expulsion, bolstered by his extreme unpopularity with the people of Honduras, was Zelaya’s attempt to override the constitution to be reelected, in the manner of and with massive aid from Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez, a master of manipulation of elections. Now Chavez is supplying $6,000,000 and the full force of his influence towards returning Zelaya to power, against the overwhelming will of the Honduran people. Mr. Chavez is already talking about invasion and imposing his will by force in Honduras, when interim President Micheletti is advocating the earliest possible elections for a presidency he does not wish to hold.

Do not support Hugo Chavez and the subversion of democracy, Mr. President. In this instance, the powers of oppression and of oligarchy are represented by Mr. Chavez. President Obama, support the small and poor but upright democracy of Honduras. In this you will support the interests of the people of Honduras and of the world.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

Do read the comments that attend this petition. They will break your heart. Almost ten thousand now humbly request that Obama stop lying and respect rule of law and help Honduras defend its democracy. Obama of course has broken his Oath of Office and lies repeatedly about Zelaya, has no interest in growing democracy anywhere and has so said and moreover refuses to apply the basic tenants of rule of law. We are sad for Honduras that they are the first test case of Obama and sadder yet that Honduras found out the hard way that Obama considers them collateral damage...willfully throwing their earnest and sincere cries for fair play under the bus. We think that Obama's popularity should die for this and indeed he has committed impeachable offenses himself, just as Insulza committed removable behaviors from the OAS as has Mrs. Clinton from her command post at State Department. Who will answer these pleas for law and order from Honduras which for once in five hundred years has done the right thing? Who? So far, Panama, Israel and Taiwan stand with Honduras. Hardly huge help and why o why Uribe of Colombia remains under Obama's trade extortion tactics is beyond us. We are going to guess by the huge list of USA media and writers that over 50% of the US population supports Honduras. The 50% not swooning over the great savior of black society, Michael Jackson who did all that he could to appear as a white man, a creepy and disgusting chemically and surgically altered freak.

There are more problems with the Obama-Clinton-Soros-OAS team's approach to Honduras besides the fact that they have and do give money to build Chavez's tyranny of crime there. And that is that the USG continues to lie about Honduras and calls Michelletti an illegal interim junta, illegally in control. But the USA knows that this is a lie- a serious lie. Obama lied in Russia: there was no coup, no illegal junta ruling Honduras this week- only a lawful replacement by their government of a very corrupt cartel leader named communist Zelaya. No one should have to spell this out to the USA. Obama should not have to get petitions reminding him of the facts. The U.S. ambassador to Honduras now looks long past incompetent- he is complicit for delivering to Mrs Zelaya all power of the USA to sell her lies and assist in her husband's criminal cartel building. The US Embassy in Honduras is sheltering and abetting criminal activities. This needs to stop.

Hondurans beg Obama to stop supporting [this means political and monetary support] "Chavez and the subversion of democracy." But the Honduran people do not know that Obama will not stop doing this because his money bags maestro de capilla in all this is the drugs expanding, cartel building George Soros and Obama will break the U.S. constitution and his Oath of Office to protect and defend not his high office but his highest bidder. And Soros wants a new ALBA nation and Honduras is a convenient drug mule nation now. We know this is true because the Obama team has gagged and illegally silenced the Pentagon and the US FBI and the US DEA from all known facts about Zelaya's cartel in order to lie some more about their pet  drug mule, Zelaya. This needs to stop.

Hondurans know- 80% of Hondurans know- that there was no coup in Honduras. Hondurans know that they followed their own constitution. Hondurans know that Obama rejects their truths. They petition Obama to tell the truth and stop his support for more communism. Obama's heart has turned against truth telling. The people of Honduras ask for our prayers and our petitions. This they have. We watch as a repeat of the Correa take over of Ecuador in 2006 to its now fully merged failed nation with Chavez and the FARC and Iran is replicated in Honduras, thanks once again to the USA's money spent to destroy democracy while dishonestly claiming it is building democracy. Welcome to the Brave New World where you are finally called upon to educate yourself or be sucked down the sewer with every single uneducated and vapid, irresponsible Ecuadorean who still yet refuses to stand on principle because....they are too busy. In this battle for truth telling, every citizen must arm himself with educated knowledge- not gossip. Each person must reestablish core values. We cannot tell you what to believe or do but we remind that the TEN COMMANDMENTS is really all you need and this is a time tested road map for successful societal interaction. Do not- do not tell us as many Ecuadoreans have done for the last year that the poor in Ecuador are so stupid that they do not know the Ten Commandments. This is a bald lie. And these 10 pointers are free and available to all. Besides, while Castro's school curricula is busy teaching lies in school, there should be no way to manipulate the Ten Commandments, try as all Ecuadoreans do today. And it remains a solid road map. In fact, it is all you need for ethical suasion. Just do it and stop making excuses or else be known as a lawless and morals- free nation, which would be about right today. A better life can be had but it will take some work....to get up off the couch and turn off your television set and rejoin the world because....to run and hide no longer satisfies.

And if you still do not believe us that the U.S. taxpayer is unwittingly and illegally forced in to spending its own tax dollars to building more and more anti US, non democratic cartel states such as Zelaya's, Correa-Chavez's, consider this abuse of US tax dollars:

Latin American Experts: Zelaya Must Be Allowed Back Into Honduras

Here the responses to these  "experts" from the Inter American Dialogue:

Interestingly, the Honduran Constitution of 1982 does provide for loss of citizenship for those who “incite, promote or aid in the continuation or re-election of the President” http://pdba.georgetown.edu/Constitutions/Honduras/hond05.html (article 42):
ARTICULO 42.- La calidad de ciudadano se pierde:
5. Por incitar, promover o apoyar el continuismo o la reelección del Presidente de la República; y,
Further, Article 239 indicates that anyone who has held the office of chief executive cannot be president or vice president and anyone who proposes reform to that prohibition can be barred from holding public office for ten years:
ARTICULO 239.- El ciudadano que haya desempeñado la titularidad del Poder Ejecutivo no podrá ser Presidente o Vicepresidente de la República.
El que quebrante esta disposición o proponga su reforma, así como aquellos que lo apoyen directa o indirectamente, cesarán de inmediato en el desempeño de sus respectivos cargos y quedarán inhabilitados por diez (10) años para el ejercicio de toda función pública.
My educated guess on that provision is that it is aimed move at banning past military dictators from pursuing the office than it is a stricture contra re-election, per se.
Additionally, Article 374 bars any amendments regarding the length of the presidential term (amongst other things:
ARTICULO 374.- No podrán reformarse, en ningún caso, el artículo anterior, el presente artículo, los artículos constitucionales que se refieren a la forma de gobierno, al territorio nacional, al período presidencial, a la prohibición para ser nuevamente Presidente de la República, el ciudadano que lo haya desempeñado bajo cualquier título y el referente a quienes no pueden ser Presidentes de la República por el período subsiguiente.
As such, it is pretty clear why the Supreme Court of Justice ruled against Zelaya’s plebiscite proposal in the first place. It also means that if the vote had been allowed to happen it would have had no legal standing.

Who are the “experts”"?! Hondurans deserve to be free! For Hondurans to be free, Zelaya must not be allowed to continue his criminal plans against the Honduran people. Who is going to stop Zelaya and Chavez from forcing Hondurans — through lies, manipulation, intimidation and fraud — to become enslaved as the rest of the unfortunate countries now suffering under the “socialims of the XXI century” (Marxism).

3.AntonioSosa Says:

By siding with Zelaya and against the rule of law and the human rights of Hondurans, the corrupt UN and OAS demonstrate again that, rather than defending human rights, they support dictators who trample on those rights. The world in general and the Americas in particular would benefit from the closing of both pernicious organizations. As a bonus, we would all save money and their fancy buildings could be put to better use!

To further empower and enrich itself, the UN helps promote evil schemes, such as Obama’s global warming/cap and trade Ponzy scheme, which will kill the U.S. economy. The OAS, with Insulza as Secretary General, has been helping Castro and Chavez enslave Latin Americans. Playing an active role in Allende’s Popular Unity, which sought to impose Marxism in Chile, Insulza has a long and shameful Marxist record.

Venezuelans, Bolivians, Ecuadorians, etc. have written open letters to Insulza begging him to defend them from Chavez, Morales, Ortega, Correa, and the rest of the Marxist thugs. Insulza has responded by declaring “transparent and democratic” the fraudulent elections of his Marxist friends. The UN and the OAS have become enemies of freedom and democracy and should be dissolved.

In other words, US taxpayer monies, thanks to the Obama team, is spent to sell lies about Honduras and back up more of Obama's lies about Honduras. Yes- Zelaya was elected president- once. But in power, his true self emerged and he abandoned law and order, criminally denying justice in his criminal efforts to craft a Honduran narcostate with Hugo and Rafael. The Obama-Soros people think that Zelaya is great. The real world thinks that Obama, Insulza, Clinton, Correa, Chavez and Insulza-Soros are all liars and now criminally developing more crime cartels. They all need to go. Honduras is not a test tube baby for their abortionists nor is it a test tube for criminally inserting that which should never be inserted.

The USA's Congressman Engle had it right: the United States must "unwind" from its investment- aka- money to build Zelaya's criminal cartel empire. The USA had no legal right to do this anyway by its own laws. But Engle refuses to analyze what this means and prefers to cover up what has been occurring, ignoring his own paid day job, to review US monies spent to build ALBA and Banco del Sur. this is more than Lady Macbeth's tragedy: it is now Engle's own dereliction of duty.

Here are letters to the WALL STREET JOURNAL today about the removal of democracy. Ecuadoreans, to their unending shame, did never once write anything like this, assuming that because US ambassador Linda Jewell praised and coddled to her breast Rafael Correa, who played her like a violin with all the games known to little boys manipulating their Madres and the Madres praising such skills, did nothing. Ecuadoreans can still do something honest with their time. They can study, analyze and reject what Correa has done and is doing. You can be like the people of Honduras who care nothing about supporting the US ambassador who is aiding and abetting money launderers, drug running businesses and lies to and about their own military. There is a text book case in parallel to the Ecuadorean descent of man in to the garbage can of history underway- a side by side case study of how Ecuador Handled their Crisis and How Hondurans Handled Their Crisis. You can make that study yourself. And when you do,  know that you will be joining a very good club of truth tellers.

Here are more examples of standing on principles. We have not seen anything like this in Ecuadorean media- nothing and that is shameful. We have not seen anything like this in Brazil, Chile or Argentina either. But we do know that Obama-Soros-Hillary's popularity is rightly drying up and no amount of deceptions can un do nor save them from siding with Chavez in all this while we remind that all of this was plotted out and organized by Correa from his command post on Sunday, July 5 to break US laws and send terror and more lies to Honduras. Correa does not act alone and he does spend a lot of FARC-Chavez-Iranian-US monies. He is stubborn and he is childishly willful. He never forgets and he never gives up his addiction to lying. He is a disgrace and is NO ally of the American people much as Obama pretends and lies that he is. This then is what Correa led to craft harm to Honduras:

Honduras Is Following Its Law and Constitution

Regarding your editorial "The Wages of Chávismo" (July 1): Please hear our cry. We are fighting for democracy in Honduras. The United Nations, the Organization of American States and other international institutions are condemning us, while they should be praising us. Our ex-President Manuel "Mel" Zelaya wants to change our constitution and perpetuate his time in power. His alliance with Hugo Chávez says it all.

Do not forsake us. There is hope in Honduras, and for the first time we feel our judicial system, military, human-rights interests, churches and businesses are all working for a better Honduras. Mr. Zelaya is manipulating the international opinion against our peaceful country.

Raúl Flores
Tegucigalpa, Honduras

I'm a U.S. and Honduran citizen and I'm appalled by President Barack Obama's position on the Honduran crisis. I voted for him in November expecting he would support democratic movements. I'm afraid to say he's not supported the interim government of President Roberto Micheletti as he should.

Former President Zelaya was a corrupt hegemonic president who ruled with an iron fist and was bent on breaking the law. America should be horrified that Mr. Zelaya sought to modify the Honduran constitution by illegal means. President Obama's continued recognition of the Zelaya administration is embarrassing because it displays a lack of an understanding of what is really going on.

Honduras has always been a staunch ally of the U.S. At the moment that the country needed America the most, history will remember President Obama siding with dictators over democracy.

A. Rosales
New York

I join the rest of the region in condemning the Honduran coup. I totally understand that President Zelaya overstepped his boundaries in attempting to change the constitution. This is totally unacceptable. However, the army is not the institution in charge of carrying out the rule of law. It should not have gotten involved.

One cannot purport to support democracy yet endorse the use of military force to act against someone we do not like. That's not democracy. Mr. Zelaya should have been arrested and the Honduran people should have had the opportunity to protest and vote for or against all constitutional changes.

Supporting a coup now would only work against our democratic ideals in the future. What happens when a similar set of events is perpetrated against someone we like? We cannot be for this today and against it tomorrow. This is exactly the kind of attitude that has made the U.S. unpopular in the region in the past. Your views on this event are totally wrong.

Mario A. Yearwood

One must ask how bad can the Obama administration's judgment get? Ousted Honduran President Zelaya is a bad guy aligned with the Castro brothers and Hugo Chávez -- these people are not our friends, and never will be. All Americans should cheer the realignment in Honduras.

Bob Jack

It is curious and disheartening that the Obama administration's first impulse was to support the leftist leader trying to overturn the constitution in Honduras. When the Honduran congress, attorney general, supreme court, military and a large segment of the population are against you, you have lost what Thomas Jefferson wrote was "the consent of the governed." Hasta la vista, el presidente.

John Carlson
St. Petersburg, Fla.

Today, HACER organization correctly reminds us, "Thomas Jefferson often referred to knowledge as LIGHT. His life's work was as much a quest for light as for LIBERTY. To America and the world, he affirmed that light upholds liberty, that a free government relies on enlightened citizens."

Turn your lights back on.....before you can no longer so do. Free governments rely on enlightened citizens. Free governments do not rely on vapid, lazy, uneducated manipulators who spend their days selfishly. Freedom requires interaction and leadership. Correa is depending on you to run away. Freedom depends on you to defend freedom. There was once rule of law in Ecuador. The government of the United States of America murdered any valid reform efforts in Ecuador, instead spending millions on training protesters to better serve cartel building, and enabling the criminals who think rule of law is only for suckers fully agreed. This is not hope and it is not change- it is aiding and abetting criminals.

For now, the people of Honduras have won. They will need the grace of God in the near term. They cannot- nor should they ever- trust the United States, Ecuador, Argentina or Venezuela, the UN or the OAS- all of whom have tried to kill off essentials of freedom. It is a pity that Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher are not around to correct these crude law breakers. Then again, their skills are still with us all- only it is we ourselves who refuse to follow and lead by example when  we can and should. Viva Honduras! Viva rule of law!

-Pedro Camargo for ECrisis
