Stay this Illicit Affair: End the Correa-Donziger Racketeering
September 6, 2009 The Rafael Correa cartel in Ecuador is not only fully corrupt, their evil has permeated the entire national landscape. The USA's Obama administration is not only foolish to declare this cartel as it ally but reveals much of the internecine enabling of evil by the Obama-Soros team now actively encouraging more crime in Quito, sometimes called enabling crime by accomplices. Of all the numerous writings regarding the morass that is the Rafael Correa cartel in Quito, one of the better pieces is this one:
"Chevron video reveals corruption in Ecuador"
“…the presiding case judge and officials of Ecuador's ruling party negotiating a $3 million bribe from two supposed businessmen. The money was to be divided between the judge and Ecuador's "presidency" in exchange for lucrative clean-up contracts after the judge's "guaranteed" guilty verdict arrived this autumn….” Read it here.
On the Chevron-Correa-Donziger specious trial, even Steinhardt cited yesterday in the New York Times [who should be fired] has it all backwards:“ 'It’s like the second shoe dropping,' said Ralph G. Steinhardt, a professor of law and international affairs at the George Washington University Law School, who has followed the case, potentially the world’s largest environmental lawsuit, involving as much as $27 billion in damages. `It’s a stunning turn of events that threatens to perpetuate what is already a very, very long proceeding.' He said the plaintiffs and the defendants deserved fair procedures, `without any appearance of corruption or prejudgment.' " Zambrano, who is functionally illiterate as was "judge' Nunez also, will take on the case, according to Correa's former room mate and long time intimate Pesantez with whom the two share intimacies also with Alexis Mera.
This is the second shoe dropping? Indeed, it is the end of this charade. There is no second shoe dropping in Ecuador: the shoe dropped long ago when Lucio Gutierrez as president established justice by his semi-Chavista kangaroos. And even before that, the real shoe dropped like a ton of bricks when US AID's paid so called justice reformers established between 1999-2000 a sweeping overhaul of so called Ecuadorean criminal procedures which left the nation with essentially no criminal procedures, just a mockery of justice. This was bought and paid for by the unending stream of liars, ninnyhammers, dimwits and dunces across Ecuador from the US Embassy's team of disruptive and disgusting paid contractors of mayhem, now satisfied that their sine qua non - their crowning achievement of ALBA's communist constitution of 9-08 is in play. These freaks of course warrant a full IG review by the USA for their crimes. The people of Ecuador deserve a full psychiatric analysis for permitting this disgrace in the first place. It is the entire costume, the attire that justice in Ecuador exists but is now fully stripped away and exposed for its false entity. There is no justice and certainly no rule of law in Ecuador...only the paid lies thereto. Chevron Texaco has two choices: bankruptcy for tens of thousands of Americans and its own or to take the other road and do what is legally necessary under all normative law and order, which will never ever transpire inside Ecuador under the Correa troika of Pesantez-Correa-Mera.
The Correa three-way game is over. All that is left is a massive extortion racket and if Chevron Texaco finds itself behooved to capitulate its god-given rights to defend itself from racketeering, then they need to announce today to their own shareholders that they, following the USA's Tom Shannon's illicit and irresponsible criminal plan for Ecuador to abandon- "throw in the towel" on Ecuador - will gleefully engage in a racketeering scheme inside Ecuador to ruin that company. We hope that Chevron Texaco condemns the U.S. Department of State's plan for abandoning Ecuador to lawlessness- a lawlessness which they helped as bought and sold [estimated at over $ 250 million for the package]- and that Chevron takes the correct path of law and order and stand proudly against these goons of racketeering crime. Never mind that Correa has removed any semblance of the definition of racketeering [and any real crime] from Ecuador's criminal codes by the sweep of his incompetence. Rafael Correa and his entire legal team of thugs are actively engaged in full racketeering in the Chevron matter and all that they touch.
We join in this unending refrain: No Mas Chavez! No Mas Correa! No Mas Cartel Racketeering!
For too long, Chevron's paid agents of temerity in Ecuador and overpaid actors in foolishness actually believed that their self created arrogance born of ignorance would be furthered through the U.S. Department of State [which is supposed to help protect American interests abroad but has ceased since 1997 to do so], doing what no sane business person ever ever does: pretending that State Department's minions of mayhem are honorable, functional and did take their advice to play along with their preferred legal strategy which is to abandon legal strategies and all self defense to further their pet Soros-backed cartel backers such as Congressman McGovern [D-MA] and Speaker Pelosi's preferred Piedad de Cordoba, lately of Miraflores Palace and herself a FARC moll. We say this because the US Department of State has spent well over $150 million supporting the Correa-Chavez cartel conversion plan in Ecuador in every way possible except a scant few show ponies of decent behaviors such as past U.S. military and past U.S. DEA performances, now shuttered and gagged as well as overrun by paid contractors busily propagandizing the joys of Correa's cartel and the need to jump in to bed with Correa's already crowded bed of perverts, thugs and Iranians.
Chevron Texaco has been standing alone with no protection and no support whatsoever from the United States of America which is supposed to assist their endeavors but for 6 years has caused a massive support network against American businesses, notably seen in the flight of all U.S. interests- legitimate ones that is, from Ecuador, leaving only actors of extortion and bribery. There has been no legitimate diplomacy from the USA since....well maybe since 1991 with a few six month intervals hallmarked by hasty retreats in one of the worst track records ever detailed....or as Tom Shannon once quipped- a nation that the USA purposefully deemed as abandoned. But Ecuador was never really abandoned, proving the perfidy of the incompetent, dishonest Shannon plan which completely debased a notably once, or claimed to be once upon a time, semi-decent Clintonite who has lost his way. The USA has flooded Quito with black or hidden contract monies and fake promises of anti corruption work while building the corrupt Correa cartel in every way possible. This needs to stop.
Here is what Speaker Pelosi spends US money to sell:

Rep. Jim McGovern (D-MA) at a town hall meeting in Lago Agrio, Quito, November 10, 2008
Initially, Chevron Texaco, like the people of Ecuador, pathetically believed that the company could manipulate its way out of the Correa cartel while ignoring the evidence that there is no capacity for justice under the ALBA non-constitutional plan of non-law which the USA helped install in Ecuador, helped jigger the non-vote for same [still disputed] and co-funded to its unending disgrace while Ecuadoreans rushed to agree with Correa that they need never know what their own constitution ever says....until they too were swept up in the deluge of Correa's offal. Chevron Texaco's domestic counsel in Ecuador for almost 20 years ignored the growing body of evidence that they were not alone and that they had a moral role to play in restoring sanity by their example and by their actions in stemming the pivotal, all consuming lies spread by Boniface, Donziger and the thousands of liars paid for by US AID to assist. Irresponsibly, Chevron, until recently, never evaluated the legal landscape in Ecuador which was not suddenly and mysteriously polluted by one "judge" Nunez. Its non-justice has been growing since 1999, thanks to the millions spent by the USA and now Chavez's agents to install non-justice in Ecuador. This did not happen overnight but Chevron failed itself to review the landscape. Chevron's irresponsibility has cost it much and does now craft major instability over a crime against Chevron which should not be tendered to begin with. Chevron did nothing wrong except retain stupid lawyers and act with stunning and singular ignorance. That is not a base crime although they should get their money back from their own paid losers and idiots such as, for example, Lanny Davis or Roger Noriega-style stupidities for stupid companies and other governments stupid enough to believe they hold wisdom when they do not.
The United States of America continues to demand that Honduras do what Ecuador did do: craft and install a new ALBA cartel nation under Chavez-Zeleya's dirty team. To assist in this, the USA has turned off all crime monitoring efforts to freely allow drugs to flow across Honduran's waterways. The article below notes about the USA-Honduras matter, "The U.S. says the aid cutbacks are meant to prod the Hondurans back to the bargaining table. But so far, the mediation of Costa Rica's respected president, Oscar Arias, has consisted of an intolerable proposal to bring back Zelaya. Arias is a decent man, but he's not being realistic and the U.S. has put too many chips on him. The crisis, as a result, will go on. In the end, it's quite likely that the U.S. will be the loser, since it's increasingly clear that this time, we're on the wrong side of history."
We disagree with the author...Costa Rican Arias is not "respected" and is not a "decent man" or else he, as he should have done, would have in hand a full fact based review and constitutional analysis of the Honduran-Zelaya criminality, which he refuses to consider as any decent man should do, especially when waging a proxy war against a small nation. The same is true for Obama, Chavez, Correa and the US ambassador to Honduras, Carterite Hugo Llorens and the White House's own face of George Soros, the scurrilous Dan Restrepo (a post Soros minion inside the White House running all Latin policy) who of course should be fired for malfeasance and incompetence.
Needless to say, the OAS, the UN, all ALBA-UNASUR nations and the USA's Soros teams have failed to deliver any scrap of fact based review regarding Honduras. For five months, the Obama team has hidden, with Correa and Chavez, behind the wall of non-facts, pretending that the false face of cartel building is politically preferable to normative law and order, as they successfully have done in Ecuador, which still yet has no formal Dossier of facts even though requested by U.S. Congresswoman Ros-Lehtinen [R-FLA] on both Honduras and Ecuador and to date ignored. This is not only indecent but illicit. What Restrepo knows, and Obama fails to even consider, is that the Clinton-Restrepo-Obama plan of denouncing the November elections in Honduras as never legitimized will bring forward a nation cut off from U.S. trade and of course a winner once the WTO reviews the criminal set up against Hondurans who did nothing wrong at all. The charges levied against the USA in harming trade with Honduras will be massive, thanks to Restrepo and Clinton who know the value of lying, Restrepo's own criminal past of hacking in to other people's private computers for gain but do not know the value of normative law. To this string of criminality on the march in Ecuador, one can easily add "Judge" Nunez's version of Hezbollah, the FARC and Venezuela.
"Honduran Headache"
"...The June 28 ouster of Honduran President Mel Zelaya is rapidly shaping up as a never-ending crisis for the Obama administration. The more it tries to punish Honduras for getting rid of its would-be dictator, the more the freedom-loving Hondurans dig in to keep their democracy...." Read it here.
Recently Pajamas Media writes, "No criticism of the disgusting situation in Chávez’s Venezuela even remotely similar to that directed at Honduras has come from Washington, which continues to cultivate friendship with Chávez. To throw Chávez a badly needed lifeline while throwing Honduras to the wolves makes no sense. And it will probably fail in both respects.
Echoing President John F. Kennedy, Honduras’s Interior Minister Oscar Raul Matute said, `We will pay any price, support any friend, oppose any enemy to assure the survival and the success of the liberties of our people and of our democracy.' If Honduras remains steadfast, as she has done thus far and as I very much hope she will continue to do, the Obama administration’s missteps will harm rather than fortify the Obama administration’s folly in Latin America and Chávez’s desire for perpetual domination over the region. The best I can think of to say is that there is substantial consistency in President Obama’s support of dictatorship and contravention of constitutional processes. That is far from high praise."
We at ECrisis could not agree more. The USA's Obama-Hillary Clinton-Soros team of sycophants and liars is long overdue for an overhaul. We are long past being weary of the dissembling, the pretexts, the excuses, the abuse of constitutional power, the opacity, the audacity of dishonesty and the sheer fecklessness of these minions of nuttiness who have no clue as to how to run anything but their own overpaid expense accounts and overseas expensive private schooling.
Here too is Elliott Abrams on why Hillary Clinton and Dan Restrepo need to resign...of what was it called-? The planned policy as announced for Ecuador by the U.S. Department of State's top diplomat called "Throwing in the Towel for Ecuador" and now Honduras which would already be a Chavez cartel satellite had not the brave interim government stood up for their own freedoms, now being destroyed by the Obama-Restrepo-Oscar Arias backers of towel-free friendship for freedom lovers, now naked and abandoned:
"The Obama administration declares it won't recognize the results of a free and fair election."
"...Honduras's ejected president Mel Zelaya saw the Secretary and apparently persuaded her that the outcome of Honduras's next elections must be rejected. On what basis? None was stated, and no logical basis exists...." Read it here.
Will someone finally get around to supporting truth tellers in Venezuela, Ecuador and Honduras? We do and hope you will join the clean up. We hope you will stop pretending that by doing nothing....and going shopping with the years and decades of your long life....that your loss of meaning in your days is turned toward a good thing, especially now that Ecuador has no economy, has no central bank, has no money really. Stand for truth telling or stand for nothing....but know that by your truths you are known.
With no due diligence, the USA condemns anti-Correa and anti-Chavez Honduras to death. With no due diligence, the USA team of Obama-Restrepo-Clinton condemns Chevron Texaco to death. With no due diligence, the government of Rafael Correa has enjoined the Restrepo death squad, determined to end rule of law and install the Soros plan of unending cartel criminality by legalizing all that should never be legalized in Central and South America. By paid US contract workers, rule of law reform was intentionally killed in Ecuador between 2002 to 2004 by replacing transparent reformers with protester training programs to better astroturf paid Chavistas and local idiots who had a choice, once trained by US AID trainers in partnership with Chavistas, of taking $15 a day cash to astroturf/protest or $10 a day plus chicha or beer. This was gleefully and formally reported as rule of law reform in Ecuador. This was what happened in reality but what was reported to the USA was a crude string of contract fraud, gaming the U.S. system to lie about the build up of criminality in Ecuador with its crowning glory of the enormously corrupt Correa, groomed for over a decade in disgrace, ostensibly educated in the USA through charity but trained well in gaming all comers, and with all the moral fiber of a gay boys' bath house where only narcissism and self pleasuring thrives, not stewardship and certainly not integrity. Chevron Texaco is just mere collateral damage in their eyes. For our part, we do not think Chevron should be thrown under a bus in Ecuador like so many other American businesses have been recently, actually almost 80% of all American business has fled Ecuador because of Correa's corruption rackets and lawlessness, despite what the idiots such as paid propagandists following the thoroughly false fronted Ivonne A Baki [having lost her gig pimping for the criminal investor scam under Stanford] or the paid fools from the Ecuadorean-American Chamber of Commerce lie about. Chevron has done nothing wrong except to have relied on some of the stupidest strategies known on this planet. We wish its new, total defense team of Jones Day, noted now as lead lawyers in the media, Godspeed... they will need it. In fact, the fate of the economy of California....and the USA depends on their success which like eggs, should never ever be in one basket but should indeed be coordinated for success. We hope that Chevron will do the right thing and stand for principled behaviors against this international racketeering. Chevron knows what to do now. We hope they will do it. We pray that their shareholders will help guide that company toward success, for the good of all.
Yesterday, Correa said he will silence the last remaining independent TV media, TELEAMEZONAS, for 90 days. This ploy to build his state media monopoly reveals the utter vapidity of all who praise Correa and call him, as does the USA's Obama, a just and good friend and close U.S. ally when of course....Correa is a purveyor of evil and has cost the loss of billions of U.S. investor dollars, which Obama calls friendly relations. But we do not care what Obama eschews- we care what the real actors in this story represent- the people of Ecuador and the people of the USA, now abandoned by their own party of Soros. What we have never comprehended is why media stars such as Jorge Ortiz have failed their own profession and their own livelihood by pretending that they alone can clean up the juggernaut that is the ALBA machine, on its evil march now. Jorge- how is your self-delusional RC TV mimicking plan [called throwing in the towel...aka abandoning all hope and never moving to save lives and property outside the tiny dominion called the Chavez-Correa's cesspool of non-justice] working out now? How is it going for you, Jorge?
Yesterday, Hugo Chavez, viz NOTICIAS 24, called his criminality "the Axis of Hope for the World" as he rejoiced his new deal with the murderous evil-monger Mahmoud:

Chavez and his inseparable fish monger partner, Correa and all who call them allies, sell fake hope, fake justice, fake democracy, fake peace and now....WELCOMING one and all by state bribes and fraud to the thrill they sell of bona fide evil.
Understand this: Correa does not want Ecuadorean media -or anyone- to cover the facts about Chevron Texaco nor does he want any person able to speak about his own fraud underway. Now that we are clear on this, start listing all the persons currently under threat of death by Correa for daring to....speak the truth.
Chevron Texaco, in its utter stupidity, has failed to grasp that it has been handed a serious gift. The gift of being in the right and the God-given gift of grace. They have caught a break [not that they deserve this for their unending ploys with Hugo Chavez] and must now use it. Chevron can now take these gifts and build on them for their good and the good of all. If they do not, that company has slapped again the grace of goodness that has miraculously come their way.
Chevron, in all matters, should study moments of grace as from the singular steps taken by two men- one American and one Peruvian to bring down the entire charade that was the paid for Fujimori-Montesinos drug cartel government across the Clinton years, as was finally revealed by simple truth tellers in a singular media revelation of hardened corruption although for too long hidden under the false face that Fujimori was a conservative reformer while Montesinos was operating with the FARC, the Shining Path and building what became the Chavez-Cuban insurgency. Two men, by playing and opening the Vladi-videos in Peru exposed the full corruption of the cartel in Peru. By 2000, Montesinos was protected in Chavez-ville and his intel operatives working for DISIP...moving their base of operations for better drug running. The current U.S. ambassador in Quito knows an awful lot about the Montesinos protection rackets and herself handed over the Montesinos payment for play checks. She of course should not be in Quito and must be recalled, a symbol of Clinton era corruption to jigger justice in Peru for Soros, gold and drug king pins. Ambassador Hodges two weeks ago announced that a tiny tiny police/pseudo-military training program will save Ecuador and establish a serious counter narcotics effort. Twelve good men once did set out to change the world but these twelve or so will not have a chance in Ecuador because the Ecuadorean constitution and the terms of the "formal agreements" laughably games honest US intentions and debases all U.S. good will to build legal toe holds while permitting the cartel to control the very thing now proclaimed as acting to stop corruption. This follows the Montesinos play book and defrauds good will. Read the deals and understand what is going on.
All support for Peru's Montesinos in the late 1990s was done to insure a Peruvian state-backed hand over of gold- lots of gold....from Peru to Peter Romero's favorite gold company with Soros, who gifted the ridiculous Toledo with a cool million to insure continued performance compliance. And this Peruvian cartel was brought down by two men with the facts simply airing the Vladi-videos which exposed the true nature of the Montesinos cartel state. For our part, we have no truck with legal contracts and mining per se. We have lots of truck with corrupt persons such as Romero, still mucking about the Andes, who would not know integrity if it hit him on the head. And we have lots of truck with what becomes of Ecuadorean businesses- now almost a dead zone thanks to Correa's cartel, driving away or killing off legitimate businesses and jobs. We also are concerned that Americans grasp the real meaning that actions carry outcomes, such as the third largest American company going out of business because it held not the wisdom to coalesce and defeat this scourge in its presence- none of which it deserves but all of which it must now defeat correctly.
Comprehending the debilitating coalescing with evil may yet be with Chevron. We hope so. Chevron Texaco did nothing wrong in Ecuador but now the Ecuadorean regime does seek to bankrupt the company... and concurrently the state of California. Rafael Correa, as he has stated repeatedly to U.S. Congressional members, is fully and completely merged in all ways with Chavez's ALBA cartel and will never undo this. Chavez is Correa and vice versa. Both are drug king pins and should be so detailed. Both act in concert and both have no regard for rule of law. The very entity that does move to kill off Chevron- the ALBA justice system of cartel justice- is Chavez and Correa's together. Chevron Texaco remains a PdVSA partner ostensibly in Venezuela. PdVSA is Chavez and Chavez has total control over PdVSA in every essential way, although Carlos the Jackal's brother's name is still on the door. What Chevron hopes to gain by gaming itself with Chavez is too bizarre for words because Chavez is Correa and Correa is Chavez.
Chevron Texaco can win this thing and be proud of its company. Chevron has had supporters and friends all along. Chevron's stupidity was to pretend that these truth tellers did not matter, were irrelevant and that they alone could overcome the Correa-Chavez cartel. This plan of pretending that the very corrupted local justice will restore all freedoms did not work for the now-failed Venezuelan RC TV under the Granier plan of pretending that Chavez could be corrected domestically. It will not work for the brave journalists at TeleAmazonas. It did not work for almost a decade in Peru. This did not work for the Isaias family in Ecuador which also has done no wrong, now embroiled in an endless stream of legal ploys engineered by Correa to steal their businesses and cancel tens of thousands of domestic jobs. OCCIDENTAL alone understood that the Gutierrez years were but a stepping stone to a worse, more lawless regime to come. OCCIDENTAL watched helplessly as Roger Noriega used their own private details and went to work to help Correa against OCCIDENTAL. They also watched as US AID's Adolfo Franco, under sworn oath before the US Congress, testified that Ecuador was mostly wonderful and mostly corruption-free even as he foolishly bantered on and on about the joys of five hectare broccoli farming as proof that Ecuadoreans are thriving... full lies then and worse today. The building blocks are now set in stone- a corrupt Ecuadorean government operating under the Chavez-backed cartel constitution that legitimizes corruption of and for the central cartel.
For too long did Chevron Texaco pretend that by their friends in the USA such as pro FARC and pro Chavez schlubbs on the make and take such as elected officials such as Bill Delahunt, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Jim McGovern, Pat Leahy and on and on....that these pro Chavez friends they assuaged in Venezuela would also protect them from Chavez's clone, Correa, in Ecuador. The sheer stupidity of this thinking astonishes. There is of course no honor among thieves or U.S. Democrats. Chevron also believed that by playing footsie with Chavez that Correa would stop causing them harm in Ecuador. Fools rarely win by cozying up with evil. Evil is defeated in one way only- truth telling and Chevron has had to learn this the hard way.
There is hope for Chevron. There is hope for Ecuador today. But that gift will fade and flee if not acted upon and magnified. Peruvians once took the chance, took the gift, and shifted their status quo, based on facts...breaking an enormous cartel corruption plan under Montesinos, whose crime was never to stop the Shining Path, as he is charged, but with actually growing Peru's drug cartels in partnership with the then almost-unheard of Hugo Chavez, fresh from his KGB Cuban years and the FARC. And where was Hugo Llorens in those Clinton years? At the Department of State for Arturo Valenzuela's NSC, coordinating Andean moves. Linda Jewell was assisting US Senator Dodd's brother in Costa Rica, preparing for the return of Arias. And across those very years, Congressmen Burton and Gilman repeated their facts that U.S. Congressman Delahunt's Foreign Affairs Congressional counsel Dan Restrepo was criminally hacking into their computers and distributing their personal confidences to Soros's own in house agent named Strobe Talbot at State Department, whose wife worked for Soros's own spy guy Terry Lendzner. Both Talbot and Restrepo moved on for a while under the sheltering arm of the Soros job corps for deceivers, only to emerge as Restrepo has done running Obama's Latin efforts to ground, buried inside their own corrupt and hate filled world view, now operating freely from the White House for all to see and hear. Problem is...Restrepo is still fact-free, still stewardship-free, still selling garbage and is on the wrong side of the angels, tainting all that he touches as if with a magic wand that never edifies but sullies all it can in this recycled Obama-Chavez job corps.
