Here we are..year 2010;three years after Rafael Correa's socialism of the century XXI won the elections,call to the people to consult if a new constitution we will need..and the people said YES;so Correa called for election once again for a consituent assembly..and the fantasy goes no..and on..and on..along with all the lies from Rafael Correa;the most corrupted goverment ever in Ecuador..!!
Three years after and it's not over yet..is just the beginning..the new Cuba in america is in effect..thanks god..thanks to the lier of the century XXI..Rafael Correa Delgado.!!
What will be next..??simple..Correa still waiting for the new law to control the media,the radio,the tv,the journalism...his main enemy..the only ones who reaise their voices to let the people know about the 350 million dollars contracts assumed by Correa's brother;they are the only ones who report the adulteration of the just approved constitution...they are the only ones who report about the corruption during this goverment called by themselves as transparent,honest,clean hands,and ardients hearts...for this reazon and some more..Correa i waiting to have a law to control or eliminate the freedom of speech,freedom of information,freedom to choice what to see,to read,to listen...and the national assembly..( the new name to the congress)will please to Correa..he is the boss..what ever he say is the law..the truth..his word is like an order..just that simple..!!
Three years and the country is broke already..there is no jobs..the unemployment is high..the crime..the narcos..the delinquency is all over...there is not future..no present..no hope..everything is only a fantasy..a dream..a fool from Correa and his corrupted goverment...the most corrupted ever in this country..!!
Thanks to Mr Camargo for focussing in the ecuadorean situation...and the SOCIALISMO DEL SIGLO XXI..otra mentira mas para los ecuatorianos..que han sido engañados miserablemente por Rafael Correa y los desertores de la derecha tradicional que se han puesto el membrete de socialistas y se han aliado a las intenciones malvadas de Correa.!!

It's despicable that, rather than defending the rule of law and the human rights of Hondurans Latin Americans, and Americans, the Obama administration is siding with the Marxist thugs who are trampling on human rights and working with drug cartels and Islamic terrorist to destroy the U.S.!

I guess it was to be expected from Obama. As his parents, relatives, friends and mentors, Obama is a Marxist who hates the U.S. As such, he sides with Marxist dictators and would-be dictators who seek to enslave their countries and destroy the U.S.

Once again, a very insightful post. I do have to agree that transparency has been lost at all levels of government. As Correa extends his grip over the business resources essential for community development, more and more money is being filtered down to his family members and his "pink circle" of influence. Mr. Camargo, I must say that you are absolutely right in that Ecuadoreans must reclaim morality and sacred honor. But could you please give me some insight as to how to do that in a practical way? As far as I am concerned my country and its people are blind because they don't want to see the evidence provided to them. It is not enough to speculate on global bonds and then make a Venezuelan company rich, as in the "Pativideos" scandal of over a year ago. It is not enough to see unconditional support to terrorist groups within our country. It is not enough to see family members of the President taking contracts that were rightfully deserved by more efficient companies. So my question remains, how do you counter that when the whole population is blind? And there is no worse blind than that one who does not want to see.

I am Ecuadorian, and I have to say to the editors of ecrisis that I respect very much the strong opinion agains the speculative, "under the table" political system of my nation and of my region. However, I have to disagree that there are no Ecuadorians standing up to tyranny, as I know people very close to me that actually care to see my nation prosper are doing everything within their reach to bring to light the unethical public contracts to family members and people within Mr. Correa's sphere of power. I also must tell you that there are many of us young students coming out of the United States with much respect for education and there are many of us uniting to convert the system that is currently hindering minds and voices in my country. There are some of us that value basic human rights and that actually want to see a better Ecuador and a better South America. I also must let you know that the "massive hedging operations" are not only financially hurting American investors, but private business owners, and local investors as well. And this is a very useful tool that Mr. Correa and his cabinet is applying to the full extent to literally freeze any opposition from making progress by unethical practices like: freezing accounts with the excuse of audits, declarations of patrimony, etc. which I have seen in my family happen recently. It is a very dark place to move in politics and business, but there will be some of us that step up to the plate to inculcate in our people the respect for education, for honesty, for stewardship of people and to be liasons of business in a very moral-driven environment. More than anything I hope that my country will wake up one day and open their eyes and see beyond a monthly check from the government and straight into the multimillion dollar contracts within Correa's sphere, which he calls "Revolution".

I am wondering if Mr Obama have read the book that Hugo Chavez gave to him in Trinidad and Tobago...a book wrotte by Galeano..in which the United States was blamed for all the social-economical and political problems in latin america.
I have read that Mr Obama also received another book wrotte by Vargas LLoza.." The bible of the latinamerican idiot"..a description of the new dictators..those dictator who became populars called themselves as the governors of the XXI century..under the so called socialism of the century XXI..(socialismo del siglo XXI)
What is this..?..nothing new..the same lies over and over...the same atrocities..the same abuses..the same tactics..nothing new..just the dictators names were changed...Chavez,Correa,Morales..the same retoric...attacking the media..the journalists..the radio..and to all who either have a different ideology..or not agree with their goverments..!!
In Ecuador..Rafael Correa attack the media every time he have a microphone in his hands...every saturday in his radio program..three hours of lies and lies and insults and attacks.
Rafael Correa who won the reelection..(funny..from 10.5 millions of registered voters..just 7.8 millons come out to vote and Correa gain the 51% from those votes...so..he become the president once again..with the 38% of the total electorade of 10.5 millions..mmm..and...even worse..the election were a fiasco..)
In the most recent of Chavez's visit to the country,Correa said he have in mind to ask to the UNASUR to regulate the media and the journalist to liberate the goverments and the citizens from the corrupted journalism..and Chavez..support him..oh well..and this pair of idiots..are who called themselves the defenders of the democracy..!!
Correa will not stop...for his best interes...and his goverment..will eliminate the journalism,the media..there is a case already with teleamazonas..a television station who just cast in live..when the oposition broke into a clandestine center of votes counting in Guayaquil...last saturday Correa said..teleamazonas will be sued and there is a chance of closing this TV station..just like Radio Caracas Television in Venezuela..and Globovison underway at the present time.!!
The socialism of the century XXI..here..there..and spreading over latin america...rising the poverty..and misery..in Ecuador..unemployment,corruption,inflation,poverty..and the end of the dolarization...walk together..thanks to Rafael Correa..!!

Today, February 11th, Correa's appointed head of the national police, Jaime Hurtado remarked that without U.S. funding, anti narcotic efforts virtually cease. It seems while El Presidente is busy buying luxury jets, votes, and electronic identification appartatus, he neglects to fund his own country's anti drug program...

Whether this is out of neglect or deliberate, I will allow the reader to decide.

Of all the news services, "reporting on this incident, Mr. Camacho has the most accurate accounting of details of the latest court magician's ploy: misdirection.

As a former magician myself, I would like to amplify Mr. Camacho's findings.

1. The incident stems from a letter that was sent to Mr. Correa’s government over a month ago. It apparently did not become an “issue” until Correa was neck deep in what is being labeled here as “Chauvingate”. His blustering announcement on his weekly radio address recalled his mentor Chavez’s order to the military, “Send ten divisions of tanks to the Columbian border, immediately!” (He only had seven and of those a little more that half were deployable!) Likewise, Correa blusters to the U.S. consulate “Order Mr. Astorga to pack his bags and leave the country. He has 48 hours!” (like Chavez, Correa’s hold on reality is tenuous… Mr. Astorga had left weeks ago, due to normal U.S. overseas rotation.)
2. In the same radio rant, Correa ordered the national police to return all of the donated equipment “…even to the erasers!” Well, guess what? They did just that. Unfortunately, they neglected to do what any kid selling his Blackberry knows to do… let alone the system administrator for the national police: THEY FAILED TO FORMAT THE MEMORY ON THE COMPUTER HARD DRIVES.
3. Consequently, the computers were returned with reportedly 15 years of records intact on the hard drives. As Correa’s estofado de ratones guisados y sapos will not go away, he tries to further misdirect the nation’s attention, by accusing Mr. Astorga of stealing state secrets. As Mr. Astorga was no longer in the country, while the said coputers were being packed into boxes, this would be a feat worthy of Ocean’s Fourteen!
4. Interesting to note, and totally consistant with Mr. Correa’s grasp on supposedly important state affairs (not to mention reality), his own minister, Miguel Carvajal reported that the U.S. had returned the files two days before he made the espionage accusations, and are being investigated for tampering. (I highly doubt any tampering will be evident. BUT, you can bet your last sucre that they were copied! That is what competent intelligence services do!)

Ecuadorian oil is about half of the $75/bbl. necesary to prevent Correa from dipping into his $6.5 billion cash reserves.

PetroEcuador produces some 300,000 to 500,00 bbls. daily (depending which report you believe), which currently sells for $39/bbl. due to poor quality.

At this rate, Correa and unfortunately Ecuador, have around three hundred (300) days until the treasury is empty.

Coupled with Correa's manic persecution of foreign investors, even turning his back on former friendly Brazil, and threats to default on foreign debt; there may well be no international credit to turn to when this ticking time bomb goes off.

If this happens, Ecuador will fall into a financial collapse that will make people recall the bank failures of 1999 with nostagic wistfulness.

There will be no financial calvary riding to the rescue. Correa will undobtedly be esconced in an estate in Belgium, where he has been siphoning his money. And, the Ecuadorians left behind will be bartering for food and services because the "currency" (whatever it is called), mdoes not function as definition of currency demands.

Ecuador... Look at the signs! Do the math! And WAKE UP!

Because when you do wake up tomorrow morning it will be day 299, the eve of day 298.

No se si es para reirse o para ponerse a llorar,Rafael Correa levanta una cortina de humo a sus actividades ilegales cometidas en Ecuador;se a aprovechado de la ignorancia de su pueblo para implantar un estado socialista,narcoterrorista,corrupto,al que el le a dado por llamar el pais del cambio.!!
Ahora resulta que la deduda externa,es ILEGAL,gracioso,comico,el leer dichos informes,especialmente cuando esta gente no sabe distinguir lo legal de lo ilegal.!!
En Ecuador por los dos ultimos años se a cometido los actos ilegales mas vergonzozos de la historia ecuatoriana,la convocatoria a una consulta,y la posterior eleccion de una asamblea constituyente,la cesacion del congreso,y todos los actos corruptos cometido en Montecristi,que van desde mandatos para liberar narcos,hasta la aprobacion de una constitucion chavista-socialista,alterada,cambiada y mancillada a espaldas de todo mundo.!!
Mas sin embargo ahi pregonan que todo lo hecho fue LEGAL y amparado en la ley,Cual ley pues..?
Ecuador que hoy en dia no solo vive con vigencia de estado narcoterrorista,socialista;tambien vive una crisis judicial por que los jueces integrantes de la Suprema corte se negaron a ser parte de este asalto al estado ecuatoriano,creando un vacio y dejando al pais sin estado de derecho.!!
Con un congresillo ilegitimo,ya que nadie los elijio,van afianzando mas y mas la dictadura correista,y lo unico que le faltaba a toda esta farsa,aparece de entre las sombras,un informe disque alegando que la deuda externa de Ecuador,es ILEGAL.!!
Cual es el fondo de todo este asunto?,sera que Correa ya se quedo sin dolares despues de haber gastado tanto dinero en su campaña de engaño y mentira al ignorante pueblo ecuatoriano?
Sera que ahora que el crudo cayo en su precio;deja a este gobierno de corruptos sin parte del botin llamado Ecuador?
Quizas sea por que de esta manera se afiansa la salida a la dolarizacion a la cual Correa desde hace rato a venido criticando;cortina de humo,y manera de hacerle creer al pueblo ecuatoriano,que en realidad son un gobierno transparentey de manos limpias,que asi se autoproclamaron.!!
Debido a este incumplimiento y las amenazas de no pagar sus comrpmisos,ya a creado un distanciamiento con Brasil;Colombia no tiene relaciones con Ecuador desde Marzo,cuando el ejercito abatio a Raul Reyes en un campamento en suleto ecuatoriano,razon por la cual Correa no deja de llorar y seguir con una politica de hostigamiento,critica y acusacion.!!
Que consecuencias traera al pueblo ecuatoriano esta accion del gobierno corrupto de Correa..?
Muchas,y las primeras ya van apareciendo,factor riego pais ya esta sobre los 5000 puntos,y se le a declarado INSOLVENTE.!
